I could listen to this song all day. They nailed that big country, conquer the new west, and a hint of big city 80s disco. This song has i t all, and that bridge by the drummer starting at -6:48, that off beat cymbal was on point. Everything connected...composition was perfect
As someone who loves TV themes, not only do I adore this opening, I still think of _Dallas_ as a frickin' masterclass in expertly cramming an entire 70-second theme into a single 45-second closing credits sequence. Brilliant.
I’m so glad to see this uploaded. I used to love “Dallas” so much I could tell you what season and episode was from just by hearing the theme song! I still think the early years have one of the best opening sequences in TV history.
I remember seeing every single episode of "DALLAS" since it first aired until its last episode of the original version only. Please post only positive comments over here. ™
Interestingly the French dubbed version features an entirely different theme with lyrics. Apparently for the French, the original theme wasn't brash enough!
THE CELTICS SHOULD START WATCHING THE CLASSIC SHOW: DALLAS. They will have no problem beating THE MAVERICKS WHEN THEY COME TO TOWN. IT’S COMING TO ENEMY TERRITORY THAT WOULD BE A BIG CHALLENGE. Kenneth Huang. 5/29/24.
Well, the producers felt the main titles needed a facelift, so Cliff Fenneman, one of the show's producers, designed a new opening that still gave viewers a glimpse of all things Dallas - the skyline, oil, Cowboys stadium, and yes, Southfork.
But one thing I liked about the season 13 and 14 intro, is as the trumpets kicked in and full orchestration commenced for the theme music, a fiery explosion erupted at 4:43.

Dallas....dukes of hazzard...Hogan heroes...gilligan..twilight zone. And that's it for truly great tv opening theme songs.
Thank you very much, David Gideon, for uploading this theme song so that we can see and listen to it again very soon.
Please have a nice day today. ™
Brilliant theme. Even during it's 13th and final season, it was still compelling to listen to.

I loved Linda Gray and Larry Hagman. So into them as a youngster.
Oh man I totally forgot about the reboot! I need to go back and watch it again :-) love me some Jordana Brewster!
In loving memory Larry Hagman aka j.r. Ewing thanks for all the lessons and morals you brought to the world and audiences every decade😢
I love it ❤
What a Rocker !
Série maravilhosa. Essa e Dinastias, são duas das minhas séries favoritas.
I like the main titles from the last two seasons.

That truckin bassline❤
That final-season opening and end titles are apparently the raw look, before they were finished on videotape.
i liked the rythmn from the first season, and all the versions basically X----D
Season 9, when Bobby and guitar riff were absent from the show...

Disco theme were the original theme song
The 9th season (dream season) had the annoying Trumpet blare added in.

I wonder why they got rid of the three-way split opening credits.

@@jnadle1 I liked the cast showing up on time with the beat in the first seconds.
Dallas opening theme music are the sounds of 80s nighttime television. Classic!
Jerrold Immel - one of the greatest. Revival series suck!
