You got a sub here from a former dem mostly moderate libertarian now. I listen to pods on all sides of politics but i struggle to find a left wing one that is enjoyable to listen to, even like pods save America feels like work to listen to they take themselves so seriously and act like the world is going to end half the time.
I wouldn't consider Pod Save America to be very left wing. I would recommend Majority Report w/ Sam Seder, or Kyle Kulinski's Secular Talk. Or if you're feeling more dirtbag, Hasan Abi and/or Chapo Trap House. Of all of those I think Kyle Kulinski is the most accessible to the types that would think Pod Save is leftist.
@35:30 it was really before Obama took office I would say in the 2004 campaign The media had pushed incredibly remarkably hard for the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan and basically as many countries in the Middle East as they could possibly invade and a try and make up for that they sort of pinned the entire blame on Republicans though as someone from the San Francisco area and somebody who was from an area that was quite a bit more left wing than San Francisco was or is the entire media called for this invasion and then to try and reclaim their credibility than scapegoated as a partisan issue the war in Iraq by the time Obama took office in 2009 the basically the whole media except for Fox News had degenerated into just calling everyone racist mostly based on the invasion of the Middle East than anyone who didn't support Obama was a white supremacist Neo-Nazi etc and I really think that was the point where the media had started saying and Nate silver was saying demographics are destiny that everyone who was a Republican was a white racist who hated anyone who wasn't white and they believed that the elimination of the Republican party was simply inevitable or that's what they stated so basically around 2004 the entire media policy big came just to screen racism and try and remove people from the culture and it wasn't based on the popular culture of conservatism at the time it was based on papering over the flaws that they had made as a party and at that point like today the left wing version of the media was you know 90% of the whole landscape so they really made a power play which helped them a lot until 2016 when the fruits of their labor manifested into Donald Trump and now a more ridiculous politics which they fostered for many many years
