I have Action x50. I love this backpack, straps are comfortable, much better than my Peak Design. The only issue with x50 is that for some airlines it is 2-3 cm above the height limit. x40 seems to have a perfect size.
Hi David - I just bought the x50 v2 - did you ever get told you couldn't bring it on carry on? I have an international flight soon and am a little anxious about it. - thanks
@@brentguilianoI used x50 v1 for carry-on from japan to Indonesia just remove the internal frame and the hipbelt, pack it in your trunk, then roll the top till maximum height for carry-on bag. Idk if it work for Europe or American flight tho 😂
@@brentguiliano Never on international flights (had many of them with this bag). I had some issues with cheap flights inside Europe (Wizzair, Ryanair) but they are usually very rigorous.
I absolutely love the fact that your bag is yellow. I have a North Face I've been using for close to 8 years now. It has served me well and continues to do so, and... It'd YELLOW!
This is a brilliant video. I've realised that i don't need to find information on any other channels but this one. You've simplified my life. Thank you.
I ordered the x50 v2 with the large DSLR insert and needed the bigger one for my Sony 200-600mm and when I go to fly with it I will take out the framing and put it in my check luggage so I wont have any problems with it being too big to take as a carry on with me and its sitting in Anchorage Alaska right now on its out to me here in Dillingham alaska and cant wait to get it
I have had my Action X30 for a couple of years and it still looks new! Fantastic bag. btw... instead of removing the hip straps, I just tuck them into the back cushion. They are out of the way but available if I need them.
Love my Shimoda Explore V2. I've been looking at getting an X70 for longer trips, the V2 has come at a great time! Love the yellow, but I think the green is for me!
I'm sold on on it, I will get a 40l. But one concern I have is hot back. A thing you forgot to mention there's a helmet holder available, so one can secure a regular bicycle helmet or a full face helmet, any helmet really. 5:19 Seems like the padding is secure enough to actually protect the gear. More I look at reviews and vids on this backpack more see how it beats the competition. It has features nobody else has. 🤔3:56 Maybe I could use this compartment for bike tools and spares. Seems like a shock pump would fit in there. If I'm not mistaken this is also the compartment for the bladder? How big bladder can one fit? 6:08 I'm not sure if I could use it as a tool compartment for bicycle tools and smal spares for mountain bike rides, as the shock pump would likely not fit. So I would likely need to use main compartment pocket.
I've just bought the Action x30 and the only thing I didn't like was the front pocket. It's a huge pocket, very deep, you can also put your notebook there, but it's too tight. Even without the notebook inside, you can't put much in there, because it won't fit. You can't use all the space inside this pocket because of this. 2 or 3cm more would make this pocket very usefull. That's the only thing I would change in this bag. The rest is perfect!
Looks like a great backpack 🎒, would love a backpack like that. In Norway the weather can be a challenge, not easy to protect your gear. Great review 👍
Great review, thank you. Just a quick question. Do you think the lateral pocket, either one, may fit a relatively sturdy (and heavy) tripod such as the Rollei Rock Solid Beta (2kg without central column, shortest segment 65 cm), not including the head and clamp? Again, tx for your time
Hi Jeven, First of thanks for posting a lot of informative videos, even one of your video helped me to chose between DJI and Rode mic. Now Regarding video and audio mixing, I have a few questions: 1. Which software is easy and quick to combine and edit two videos and audios from different cameras? 2. When shooting, do you record audio separately or connect it to each camera? Or does one camera capture the audio while the other captures the video? 3. When using two microphones, such as one clipped on the subject and the other being a shotgun microphone, how do you ensure there is no echo? For example, if one microphone is attached to the subject's shirt on the chest and the other is mounted on one of the cameras, there is a chance of echo. How do you overcome this issue? 4. Since you use two cameras placed at different angles, how do you mix the sounds together without any syncing problems? I will be using two cameras and two microphones - a DJI microphone attached to the subject's shirt (on the chest) and a Rode shotgun microphone on one of the cameras. How can I properly sync the videos and audios from these two different cameras and microphones? Thank you in advance for your guidance!

Awesome 👏 I started a Channel Big Dreams Philippines 🇵🇭 and I’m in need of a new set up for traveling with gear ! This is perfect 👍 ! So happy I found your channel ! You are an inspiration ! Thx 🙏
🇵🇭 I have the Shimoda 25L Explore V2, kabayan! I think that's the size that would make the most sense with the kind of transpo that we have in the Philippines. A lot of people are skeptic about the straps but it will change your mind as soon as you use the bag, see how utilitarian & feel how comfortable they are. I've used Peak Design, Manfrotto, Vanguard, Lowepro & Case Logic. I sold them all to be able to afford the premium price but to me my Shimoda is worth every penny I spent on it. Mabuhay! 🇵🇭
