Check out the Store: www.longshotstore.com/ Join the Discord channel: discord.gg/drNE6bT Hey guys! In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the F16 Viper striking alone an S300 SAM Site with the CBU97 and the AGM65 Maverick. My mission is to clear that SAM site and then I could get some cover from Friendly's. Hope you guys enjoy!
Just noticed it. I really like how they have the wing flex modeled! I'm sure someone already has them, but I'd think they should have a "boost" motor on a CBU, so you could lob them farther out.
Love the shots I’m seeing (pun slightly intended). Mixing in the ones from the weapons stations makes it feel even more dynamic, and just looks badass.
Out of countermeasures that fast is one of the main weaknesses of a tiny airframe like a Viper. Great SEAD work, you put on a master class for all of us to enjoy!
Great video, would love to see one where you have to acquire the target in a more dynamic environment first, because usually the location of the site is not known before hand
You've just simulated a potentially incoming war between Morocco and Algeria in North Africa. Morocco owns the F16s and Algeria is all Russian arsenal. Great vid!
Imagine if you were just chillin' on your front porch and this F-16 rips past you at 400 knots. Unrelated, does anyone else feel like BVR engagements feel kind of like knights jousting?
As always, your excellent play-by-play- keeps us right there beside you. Great mission and if I'm not mistaken, recent improvements in the editing have made for thoroughly enjoyable and high-quality entertainment - great video! Thanks, L.S.
Thanks for uploading this video Longshot - SEAD and DEAD is my favourite mission - I have severak books about SEAD all the way from the Vietnam war (yes I know they called it Iron Hand/Wild Weaseling back then) and all the way up until modern times (Balkans/Iraq post 9/11). Have a great week Sir - blue skies! o7
Nice bonus that you knew where the SAM was from the beginning. A lot of Wild Weasels have to bait the missiles into firing, then trace the smoke trail back to the launcher. Of course, first they have to dodge the missiles.
Awesome video man! Out of curiosity, do you normally like your cockpit view zoomed out that much? I feel like I need to fly zoomed in much further to see anything.
That was amazing to watch, you really know how to handle the Viper. A question: how did you acquire the exact location of the site? Was it a known location and you had a WP set up, or did you acquire it on the go?
You know what I never see from the DSC UA-cam community is SU 33 videos? Like take offs intercept, bombing runs, landings ex ex. I know your supposed to be a flanker guy. 😜
I wish you'd do a video on your head tracking setup at some point. I have a track IR but never use it because i can never get it set up and functioning properly
Hey longshot do you have any recommendations for a hotas I’m looking at the x56 or t16000 I’m aware the the x56 is supposed to have quality control issues but I’m looking for something cheap as of now I’m using an Xbox controller and my phone for head tracking. Thanks
Don't know much about the t16000, I use to run the x56, I'm still using the throttle, I think It's good, the stick is not that accurate, but over all, It's a fine set to start. You can see my set up in the description
Suppose in a real life situation you are just going to live by the old adage " make one pass and then haul ass " I imagine your probably not coming back with the mavericks
Nice, but can be a bit more realistic. In all parts of terain whit radar shadow its normal to deploy at least MANPADs. It whoud be interesting to see this in scenario. Plus layered defence means something like defence in depth. First MANPADs and AA, then medium range aka Tunguska, TOR and S1, then BUK and S-300/400 whit its own short-medium defence. Certanly not bunched together like at target range. But then its hard to make a scenario where you dont get toasted in first few minutes.
:sees Longshot dodge SAM: Yo Longshot ,you should set up then show off the Enemy Behind Lines Scenario- and how to properly do it right! lol It was cool getting to see the FLIR- or was tha tthe maverick's own sensor?
Not to ruin everyone's fun :) . But next time add a couple of TOR and Tunguskas, Manpads and AAA. Just to make it an actual S-300 site. And bring a couple of buddies ofc.
I think many in Ukraine may have been watching your videos maybe? 😮 I’m not a pilot so I don’t know how ‘real’ DCS is but as a ‘lay person’ it looks epic :) I may be wrong but I read India was looking at the CBU-97/105 for its airforce? I used your videos to inform my 1/72 model builds :)

Is the mavericks still wildly off when using the tgp in auto/ manual mode?
Those missile POV shots, Longshot you've outdone yourself.
That's really nice of you, glad to hear you liked it
These missions are awesome. Can't wait for the Strike Eagle to be online so that you can play even more tactical roles.
Thanks. Yeah man, this kind of missions with the Strike Eagle will be awesome
Dang Longshot, The flush of catharsis at the sight of those Eagles, followed by them immeadiatly going defensive rasied serious goosebumps- thank you!
Just noticed it. I really like how they have the wing flex modeled! I'm sure someone already has them, but I'd think they should have a "boost" motor on a CBU, so you could lob them farther out.
They could put a wing kit on it like the JDAM-ER
Great cinematic shots as always.
Thank you
this was such a cool video. Love the sneaking up on the enemy at tree top height.
Thanks
Your storytelling using the different views and your cutting is also on point.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that
@@LongShotChannel You're absolutely welcome. You need to make a short movie with DCS. Would be awesome to watch.
The different camera shots are a great touch 👌
Thanks so much, I'm glad to hear that

Nah it’s the DAMN FUEL, I CANT AFTERBURNER IF I WANNA STAY IN THE AIR FOR 2 DAMN SECONDS.
sorry I’m upset
@@jacobdoolan4978 I can burn in the viper for a surprisingly long time compared to something like an F14.
Nice video Longshot! Very cool to see that all playing out. I'll share it in my FB group.
In DCS i am a rotorhead, but out of fast movers the Viper and Harrier give me the most goosebumps. Great video LongShot, love it.
Very cool video. Love how you show the external cinematic shots of all the engagements.
Lol "That's me" 😂 You were booking it like you were guilty.
Great Video!
A tacview in the end would be a real upgrade
Who needs Top-Gun if we got Longshot. Impressiv action and storytelling!
M... You flight in air combat in real honesty... appreciate..most awesome explaining and video editing
This is such next-level content. Such a joy to watch! Thank you for posting
LS "I'm I in the middle of that mess?" Me 🤣 "Yes you are!"🤣🤣🤣..... Great video as always.keep it up LS
lol😜 Thanks
Dude I'm loving your cinematic shots, keep it up
Great video, would love to see one where you have to acquire the target in a more dynamic environment first, because usually the location of the site is not known before hand
Very nice cinematic shots in between. Really enjoyed it!
Thank you
That was so intense, I'd even say, more enjoyable than a movie. Great entertainment Longshot, much love
That's awesome buddy, thanks so much
if you use GBU 38/105 its so OP
38 are better than the maverick
one 105 will clean a sam site
AWESOME VIDEO! I had to watch it twice...
Thats awesome to hear, thanks so much!
This was so intense! Good job! Great action shots! Very cool!
Thanks so much
You're doing a great job on the videos man. Keep it up!
i most definitely fell in love with this mission

Hey LongShot, Love your videos. Keep up the good work man ! Would love to see the landing after each flight. Just a suggestion.
I'll try to keep it in mind, thanks so much!

Dude, your voice sounds like Luke Skywalker. This HAS to be a successful mission.
Great video ! :)
Thank you
Good show LS! RIP Eagle driver.
Just wondering, have you done any missions like this with the A-10? This was awesome as always
That was fucking cool.
Nice bonus that you knew where the SAM was from the beginning. A lot of Wild Weasels have to bait the missiles into firing, then trace the smoke trail back to the launcher. Of course, first they have to dodge the missiles.
Great video and great flying skills.
I just wonder why you used Hebrew voices at the Su30 splash :)

Good to see some air to ground...
Outstanding flying and fighting.

Sorry just sitting at home recovering from Covid.
I guess because of the fully unguided nature of it, it’s hard to make entertaining videos
@@jacobdoolan4978 Well if anyone can show us how it's done it's Longshot is it not? 🤔 😉
Fantastic mission. Great shoots. Awesome movie cineatics scenes.
Thanks!
