The problem isn’t the use of pink per se, but the fact that it became too much (both on Bloom individually and on the group as a whole). Even in the promo artwork outfits you used as examples, the palette is pretty balanced more often than not, including not only blue and yellow, but also greens and teals and purples. (And the mainly pink outfits from the s1 to s3 era artworks are not the main outfit of the season that we see in almost every episode). Then at some point they started drenching her in just pink and blue over and over, with mayyybe some other color that is however shared with the other girls (any given outfit in the nick seasons tbh but the Zenith clothes from s5 and s6 are the first that come to mind) Edit: broke up the paragraphs cuz the wall of text was a lot
So true! It's not just Bloom, it's all the girls. They used to have distinct colour palettes, but then it became too pink. Believix was the starting point where all the Winx girls had some element of pink in their outfits. It should have stayed only on Flora and Tecna, as two pink girls are more than enough.

Pink is a 50-50 in Bloom. Sometimes it works very well, but other times it’s absolutely terrible! Bloom’s red hair is what makes Pink not work all the time. Season 5 Bloom pulled it off well as for season 3 Bloom in Blue.
They packaged the first episode of the show with the Bloom doll. Back in the early 2000’s it was really hard for me to catch any episodes until it went over to Nick. Then I could catch up on all the episodes. So my default is Bloom in blue because that’s her colors season 1. But the change was gradual

As much as she's always been a pink girl, I would still prefer her in blue for so many reasons. Note that I didn't notice that tho in the teasers; I was just excited since it looks like it might be good! For one, she's a redhead and warm tones, specifically reds and pinks, are not flattering on the hair type. The pinks can even lump together with her red hair, making her a bit of a visual mess. Bloom is also associated alot with blue because of her fairy forms having blue mains. And I like that dichotomy between her fire powers and blue outfit since it subverts the trope that red = fire (admittedly would've loved to see her set off blue flames) plus the blue makes her red hair and fire powers stand out more. I just enjoy seeing female leads not necessarily being pink girls. When Winx first came out, it was truly a breath of fresh air to see an F Lead wear colours that aren't primarily pink (saying that as a pink girly). Lastly, I just see Flora as the pink girly (tho obviously it's nice to see the girls in varying colors) and would really wish the Winx girls' colours aren't mixed up all the time (particularly in their fairy forms) because do they realize how much better that would be for merchandising? Just look at MLP! That's all. That's my rant LOL.
It's because blue lets her red hair and fire powers shine wild pink fights with it and turns her into a warm colored blob. I see the Pink as a shift in fundamental Philosophy from good design to "make it generically girly"
Imo I think that the people who believe that yellow and mostly blue is Bloom's color palette (like myself I gotta admit) is due to her most prominent and recognizable outfits, S1-3 casual outfits and Magic Winx-Enchantix forms, being like that. Also having the idea that this color palette matches with her personality, which I don't agree at all judging by her S4 & 5's casual outfits featuring a lot of pink and still captures Bloom's essence. At the end of the day, is the siloutte and type of her clothes what it makes it part of her character, not the colors. Moreover, it hasn't helped the fact that Rainbow in the recent years has put pink in the outfits just for the sake of it without thinking if it looks good or not, for instance, in the Enchantix redesign for S8. Ik is a lot but I just needed to get this out. Love your vids btw, more channels like yours 😊
yeah I like the blue and pink together I always thought it was a cute combo. I was surprised by how many people didn't like the colour on her especially since its been a thing since season 2.
The difference is that pink wasn't a main color on her outfit in S2, but rather an accent color. Her outfit was primarily several shades of blue, she only had a splash of pink on her shirt with those hearts, and on her shoes.
As someone who’s never read any of the comics, I definitely prefer Bloom in her blue and gold palette, but I don’t hate her in pink. One of my favorite outfits of Bloom is actually S5 and I really adore the pink with the blue and hints of purple sprinkled in. I think the key to making pink work on her is making it an off color like plum or heather instead of hot pink or fuchsia pink. Its similar to Ariel’s pink dress from the movie and why Disney doesn’t just use that as her signature dress for the Disney Princess franchise. Her hair is firetruck red and the pink is a light enough shade that it makes her vibrant red hair adorable instead of looking weird. Stupid her outfit is a dress that isn’t even in the movie and honestly makes her look like she’s wearing a giant lettuce leaf
I do prefer Bloom in blues and yellows. And on the rare occasion she's in greens and oranges (in the show) she looks great. That said, she looks fine in pink. A lot of her pink outfits look really good. The idea that she can't be in pink beause of her hair is ridiculous to me. I've even seen people say that Stella can't be in yellow cause of her hair when Stella looks great in yellow/gold/orange. By that logic, people with black hair can't wear black, brown hair can't wear brown etc.
The problem is that they're makeing her primary colour pink. She works better in primarily blue, secondarily yellow and pink. I agree with the blob and lacking contrast in pink, it also screams. "mindless girly above all else" including story and personality.

Since usually my favourite magical girl in a show is the pink one I totally don't mind this aspect of Bloom. I do like blue more on her but I think both Look great. In way she reminds me of another magical girl who is also an ENFJ like Bloom, who is primarily blue but with some pinks added in her magical outfit (I'm talking about Cure Sky from hirogaru sky precure)

It depends, a cooler tones pink works better. If pinks have a lot of red it can almost get lost in her hair. I do love her in blue with pink accents but don't mind majority pink

I think it was only ever used on merch (on folders, and notebooks and stuff): I don't think it belongs to a particular 'set', but I might be wrong. There were a lot of looks designed specifically for Giochi Preziosi dolls, but those are not catalogued and archived as well as the others like Mattel, so it's hard to find stock art.

To be honest the shade of teal she wears is my second favorite color and the first one of mine is hot pink so I’m stuck 😂😭

I don't like it when there's a lot in her top tight next to her hair whether it is light or bright pinks it just clashes with her hair.
