I've worked in TV most of my life and when I saw Rick you played just around the corner from wear I live I got kind of star struck. I stumbled on your channel about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. Hope you enjoyed the land of Aus and my Mrs says NEVER shave the beard. Great work mate
"About bloody time mate!" Love it! Rick, your archives are some of the best content on youtube! Hope once lockdown is finally dead and gone, some new course vlogs can be added.
Beautiful golf course, they Aussie bush is something special, unless you hit one of those gum trees ☺, great to see wild life like the kangaroos on the course, we have a local course here that has them on it, just be wary if you disturb one that was asleep in a bunker, great vlog fellas, thanks for posting Rick
Sometimes you find a big male on the teebox and they have zero interest in moving for you. They don't want to look like a chicken in front of the females, but also don't want to waste their energy on you. Always makes for an interesting stand-off. They'll either begrudgingly shuffle off to the side, or you will have to hit from another tee.
Loving these Australian videos Rick...now that you've come close to my neighbourhood hopefully you can organise a game at my home club Gainsborough Greens - it's just at the north end of the Gold Coast :)
Played Brookwater last week for the second time. The camera doesnt do it much justice. Very hard to find a flat part on the fairway. On the upside its very easy to find pro v1's just off the fairway as most people are too scared to look for their balls haha.
Alan on first tee - " Playing terrible Rick, not sure where the ball will go today" one hour later, Rick is 4 down. Alan is the jovial, friendly, smiling Assassin!!
The only thing that's wrong with this course, the lots of snakes out here comment from Allen. Otherwise, its a stunner. The courses you've played in Australia are beautiful and you've played with really good players as well. Keep the great vids coming
Some stellar play on a gorgeous course (huge fan of Norman courses). On the vast majority of similar golfing vlogs, the discourse/the back and forth between the participating players/pros feels incredibly forced, disingenuous, and downright cringeworthy at times. The two of you looked to be having a blast while sincerely "shooting the sh!t".

Played this course tough but really really good.
This is wonderful stuff, Rick. All you have to do now is come to Western Australia and play Karrinyup and Joondalup for a fully-blown mind.
Well done, Mr. Shiels!! You are the man!!!
Excellent course bit tight for me not at that level yet hope you come back rick, excellent golf.

Alan is such good company.
Love the video. Alan has the gift of gab, had to subscribe to Alan to watch the videos. Great entertainment. Rick you are making some great vlogs.

That 3 wood was an absolute bullet!
Is it just me or is there not a bad hole on this golf course? Beautiful course. Enjoying the videos, Rick. Keep them coming!
Amazing looking course
Awesome course
Great vlog, beautiful course. Alan seems like a top bloke also!
I make it a habit to try and befriend any Australian I meet. They are the coolest nicest people on the planet! Never met a “bad one”.
Alan seems to be a nice Guy !!

$1500 to ship your clubs!? WTF! lol...anyways great video as always.
Karly Booth has the legs, mate - shapely, muscular, but feminine. Rick has toothpicks.
You would have played better with shorts. Just saying. Hehe.
Nickname (Red Belly) after the snakes.
