Thank you Davor. I am planning to start a company that designs / innovates / fabricates / assembles / sells various business and industrial equipment in East & Central Africa. This is aimed to increase people's access to production capital and maybe spur industrialization. I am therefore trying to get a better understanding of the various production machinery so as to identify the gaps that I can take advantage of to enter the market. I think to reduce the entry barriers, I could leverage the existing open-source and IP-free designs that exist (like this one) to get a foothold when starting out; then get into licensing; before finally launching original IP designs.
Sorry for the rambling. I sometimes explain things loudly to people so I can get my thoughts clear.
