I really like his first two. Casino Royal for me is one of the greatest Bond movies ever made. A perfect balance between the previous tone, and the more serious tone they introduced. Quantum continued this well.
It's not brilliant, certainly not as good as Casino Royale, but it is better than the general opinion seems to regard it. Edit: just read the rest of the comments... "general opinion" seems to be slightly favourable 😅
With script problems due to a writers strike, _QoS_ had a troubled production & was considered a slight disappointment in 2008, but it's aged very well. Uniquely stylish & action packed, _QoS_ works as the "third act" of _Casino Royale._
I totally agree. I've always seen this as the continuation of CR. It's a smaller story, but in this case it needs to be, and unlike some of the Bond films it doesn't outstay its welcome.
"Felix is our boy!" Jeffrey Wright is not given enough to do as Felix for how fantastic he is. You must see him in Westworld (the first two seasons are amazing).
For sure! Practically every lead performance in Westworld is stellar. First two seasons are unmissable, I watched the 3rd and somewhat enjoyed but def less engaging.
Out of anyone who has done these "first time viewing" videos, Jen seems to be one of the few (or perhaps the only one), who has done ALL James Bond movies! Good for you Jen! It has been a pleasure for us Bond fans, watching all of these with you. 😊
And not only that, she's one of the very few that did the James Bond movies in order from the very beginning instead of jumping straight to the Daniel Craig ones.
Canada needs to declare you a national treasure or something 😁, your attention to musical detail is great as is your reactions, please keep up the excellent work you and your editor do, looking forward to the rest of this series. cheers 👍👍
Barring some really bad editing in some scenes, I've grown fonder of this one with every viewing. I love how well the relationship between Bond and M comes to a stunning resolution ("He's my agent, and I trust him") when she realizes he's the only person trying to do what's right instead of succumbing to corruption. The introduction of a red-haired agent named "Miss Fields" is an amusing touch--we don't need to hear her first name to know what it is. Most of the action scenes are on point, with one of Bond's nastiest one-on-one clashes ever. The finale in the desert hotel, while wildly improbable, is also delightfully epic. I love the return of Mathis and Bond's tenderness toward him, as well as his continuing relationship with Felix. The final scene as Bond confronts the agent who caused Vesper's downfall is pure spy/espionage stuff in the vein of "From Russia With Love." On the whole, I consider this one of Craig's best.
Quantum is a movie that has aged surprisingly well. Due to it's fast cuttings, it was almost unwatchable in the theatre, especially the pre-credit scenes. Watching it at home is almost as if you're watching a complete different movie. Amazing soundtrack, amazing title-song and the plot, like TND, was ahead of it's time. Also Forsters direction is absolutely seamless.
I agree watching it in the theatre was just to overwhelming with all the fast editing just couldn't follow it. It took me a while to like this one but after several viewings at home it has definitely grown on me.
This film has my favourite "once you spot it you can't unsee it" moment. At the port a background extra is cleaning but the head of the broom is about 2 feet above the ground. Probably due to the director not wanting the air to be full of dust but it looks so weird.
I didn't love this one the first time I saw it, but on subsequent re-watches I have come to really appreciate it. And it has one of the most interesting, well developed Bond girls of all time
Following your review I said to myself; You are the Bond girl. Apart from demonstrating an appreciation of the whole Bond genre and an insider’s true knowledge, you have an unflagging enthusiasm for what is going on. Not once did I lose concentration, but was continually energized by your observations that bridged many of the movies. Pick any series of film and I’ll willingly follow your lead.
One of the things I've loved most about Craig's Bond is how he inspired people to revisit and newly-appreciate what Dalton did in the role, because there's a lot of similarity in the grittier approach and his lethal seriousness. They both feel like dangerous people in a way that the other Bonds don't quite. This movie does play best when you've got a recent viewing of "Casino Royale" fresh in your head - it definitely plays like a coda to that story. Gemma Arterton got instant star treatment from her brief role as Fields; later she starred with Jeremy Renner in an extremely funny and gory movie called "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" which has earned a healthy cult following.
32:56 yes he was going to shoot her. To avoid her having to die from fire. Until, at the last minute, he saw another way. It was a moment very reminiscent of the Fleming novels.
“Quantum of Solace” gives away the theme in the title. For both Camille and Bond, getting their revenge still leaves them feeling empty. It only gives them a moment of comfort. CS and QoS are my favorite 2 Bond movies, basically an extended origin storyline of Bond’s vulnerability and loss, making him the cold womanizer that we all know. Great reaction!
I just love this film as part of the Bond canon. Unlike all the others its a pure lean spy film with genuine plot twists and real character motivations. Bond’s fights are the best since the train in From Russia… the slide down the clay shingle roof to the head smash on the balcony where Bond lands might be the best… most visceral and realistic stunt in the series… and Greenes mad fight the the axe is a stand out in cinema. M’s reversal to trusting Bond thrills me every time… and Bond’s support of Camille… helping her prepare for her kill (circling back to Bonds 1st and 2nd kills in Casino) is bizarrely touching. Also… “We’re teachers on holiday and we just won the lottery” is peak Bond humor. I could go on and on. The fan resistance to this film just mystifies me. I guess it’s best watched as a (brilliant) coda to Casino but I’d still personally rank it in the top tier. Watching it along with you made it all the better! You’re spot on (per usual) about it posing the question: What kind of Bond does Craig become? These first 2 films with Craig opened the possibility of a more realistic tone and stand apart… the films from here on begin a new and “bigger” vibe. Craig is incredible throughout.
Another banger Ms. M . Definite tip of the hat to prior Bond Films ( Connery and Moore ) . I love how , for you , the score is another character in the movie . On a more personal level I love that colour on you ! So because of your exuberance , joy , grand pa wheezes hair make up sound effects , I present you Jen Murray with MVP ! 👍
For the longest time, I thought she was a local actress (Bolivia/Chile) because of the accent of her spanish. I was 🤯 when I found out she was a Chaplin!
While, to be fair, it is difficult following a lightning-in-a-bottle film like Casino Royale, I love this epilogue of an outing. They said the script had three occasions/chances to use his "Bond, James Bond", but they said that every time they came to it, it never felt right, almost disrespectful to the moment. I thought that was rather classy, to forego a franchise staple/must-have (and a pretty 'important' one at that), all for respecting the loss of a loved one.
This one definitely improves on rewatch, especially if you watch it back to back with Casino Royale. The plot is a bit overcomplicated, the villain is underwhelming, and the theme song is out of place, but I think the biggest strike against this movie is just how good Casino Royale was.
Bond was also in Italy in From Russia With Love and Moonraker-Venice and For Your Eyes Only-Italian Alps. I think this might be David Arnolds best score, but his last. I also think this movie has the best clothing that Craig wore.
1st, Jen you look amazing in this reaction. 2nd, Olga Kurylenko is one of the sexiest and most underrated actresses in modern times. She is incredible and absolutely gorgeous! Also keeping in step with the Bond girls, Agent Fields (our redhead agent) is named Strawberry Fields.
I missed this one in theatres. Had no idea that it was one of several films affected by the writers' strike (2007, 2008). It moved pretty quickly and the editing was kinda on edge. The visuals still feel on point. Well shot for every scene. Storywise, you can still keep with it. Sticking to the course for the era that it's set in. That Craig as Bond is on a journey that are several missions as one resolution. The Bond theme by Jack White & Alicia Keys. Considered underrated, loved or hated. It's pretty good for the production which is JW's fortay. Looks good and moves fast. This is the sportscar of Bond films.
idk how I missed this before? The Canadian girl at the end was Stana Katic, who co-starred with Nathan Fillion (Firefly) a year later in the long running show (8yrs) Castle.
Fantastic reaction, and I agree that David Arnold is amazing. Especially in the opera house sequence which is really quite special. It wasn't 100% clear to me in the reaction that the guy in the trunk at the start was the guy who killed Le Chiffre, and who Bond shot in the leg at the end of Casino Royale in the italian lake area. I guess the start of this is about 3 hours after the end of the previous film.
the Canadian agent (Corrine) at the end was played by Stana Katic, who is better known as playing Detective Kate Beckett in the TV show Castle. Also kudos to Jen for "holy chute" ... take that YT word police 🤪
I like your lore knowledge now Jen. You caught some good parallels with the writing in this one like Melina in For Your Eyes Only. Or even Tilly in Goldfinger. Shame Tilly did not get her vengeance though. Phat stacks 4 eva ; )
I did the Bond world tour, or half a Bond world tour. Pretty cool to visit some of the locations and kind of imagine yourself in a Bond movie. That's what us Bond nerds do.
The woman that is a Bolivian agent in this film is also in Oblivion btw hehe! Skyfall you will love, besides it being a great Bond film it is considered a masterful film in general.
@@mr.a8315 I am with ya for sure! I have been campaigning for jen to react to it but I fear it wont happen for a while. It will literally blow her mind!
Another great one Jen!!! When this came out, a lot of people criticized it beacuse they thought the plot was weak. They said that the vilains were not as strong because they went for control of ressources like water instead of world domination. What they didn't consider, or were ingnorant of, is that actual corporations do that. Being from a South American country, I know that some private companies, such as Coca-Cola, DO control water access. They do create droughts to get the prices to go up for basic necessities such as drinkable water. If that's not eveil enough or world domination driven enough then I don't know what is. AND IT'S SET IN THE REAL WORLD!!! In my eyes, it shows how much detail the "organisation" behind ita all goes into to dominate the world. The title was taken from an Ian Flemming short story of Bond. It has nothing to do with the scenario here, but it's worth notice. Keep 'em coming Jen, you won't be disappointed. The next one is considered THE best of the Craig's era. Enjoy!
I’m impressed in recent reactions to this movie more people aren’t complaining about the editing! They made it mid writers strike in 08 and you can tell 😂 plus the director had never done an action movie before and only had 5 weeks to edit the movie, and you can also tell lmao. It was so confusing when I first watched it as a kid me and mom actually left the movie like half way thru lol
I never noticed it before but his namn on the card was R.Sterling, wounder if they took that from The spy who loved me where his name is Robert Sterling. Allways entertaning watching your reaction videos! Love it! 😊
Jen, your James Bond reactions are great. You really get into them. I really think you should do Cannonball Run. And if anyone wants to spoil it for you, they know where they can go. There's a surprise.
Daniel Craig's Bond is more "blue color" than the others. He is rougher, more driven, and has a tenacity to complete missions/task/prove himself. He also wears more business casual clothing. He blends in with the population but at the same time you can tell he likes nice things (cars, hotel rooms, clothing). It definitely has more layers to his character than previous bonds.
I will admit that Danny Craig was extremely fit as bond to be able to do all these jumps and other stunts. And an exceptional fighter. Even Roger Moore said in an interview back then that Danny Craig scares him because he is too violent haha
The "tender side" of Bond that you see is taken straight from the books.* This one wasn't taken from a book, but the title was taken from a short story where Bond was talking with a South American official over dinner. Some of the reasons this one is considered to be on the weak side of the Craig films is that the press made a HUGE deal about the title thing. Then they had a villain like LeChifre, a poker genius who is more than willing to get his hands dirty to get what he wants, and follow him up with Chad who cowers in the back seat because the guy who fell off a roof looked at him. This guy wasn't a bond villain, he was a minion in a better suit. THEN, they followed it up with Skyfall, and this one was overshadowed on both sides. If you can distance it from the others, it's not that bad. *In one of the books, the token Sexy Lady(tm) had had the "bad experience" UA-cam doesn't want to admit exists. As a result she was out of the running for Sexy Lady and Bond respected that, not even so much as flirting with her until she felt comfortable enough to initiate it, if that ever happened. In the movie version, she was basically a caricature of a showgirl.
I know many people don’t have a high opinion about this title but I’d like to point out a few of its better qualities. First it has a very strong soundtrack, one of the best of any bond movie imo. The other is both the intro sequence and the night at the opera scenes are both some of the best among the Craig movies.
Oh, good soundtrack... that's all ? Craig's Bond movies sucks, none of them are even equally good as anyone from Connery to Brosnan, not even mentionning the last very woke atrocity...

I missed this one in the theater :( Not my favorite Craig Bond movie, but I still quite like it. 0:40 ooh. Woah. We're in the middle of a chase! 1:23 Daniel Craig looks goooood. He's a very handsome Bond. Not as handsome as Timothy Dalton. 1:44 we're in Italy. Ooh I wanna go to Italy. Sadly (for me) its last Bond movie composed by David Arnold (THE best Bond composer after John Barry in my opinion), he did Bond tracks from Tommorow Never Dies till this movie, and no, he didn't died or anything, its just him not making tracks, i think Quantum is his best Bond soundtrack (Also Quantum is my fav Bond movie, i actually like them all! Except Spectre, but i didn't watched it) Jen, thank you for these reactions ❤ its really a pleasure to look at it
Great reaction Jen! Mission Impossible Rogue Nation did homage plot elements from Daniel Craig's Bond movies at the time, such as that opera scene. Field's death is indeed a reference to Goldfinger, as well as Bond and Camille walking in the desert (along with very similar clothes) to Roger Moore and Barbara Bach in The Spy Who Loved Me.
Yeah... and also from TSWLM, when Moore is looking for Fakesh, the way he kills someone off the rooftop is done again in QoS with Craig to that brit assistant, releasing someone holding on to the other persons tie ;)
Audiences expectations of the level and fantastic nature of the action in super-spy movies was changed by Cruise's first _Mission Impossible._ After that the gap between realistic espionage films, such as _Bridge of Spies_ (2015), and the super-spy genre became even wider than it had been previously. Speaking of the opera, you should get into the Marx Brothers, perhaps starting with _A Night at the Opera._
I thonk you hit it on the nose with the relationship development between Bond and M. I also agree that it eas a callback to Goldfinger. Oh, and the Canadian spy at the end was Stana Katic and she IS Canadian (she was in Castle with Nathan Fillion)
I'm so torn here... On one hand, I felt like I wasted 2 hours of my life back when I watched this movie in 2008! But on the other hand, I got the bluray for free, and I kind of want to rewatch it before I see Jen's reaction to it! lol
It's actually only 106 min long, one of the shorter Bond films, they normally are all around 2 hrs and some even longer...I felt it was rather too hectic in the first act and could have done with a bit more runtime. Also, as a Bond aficionado I gotta say: A Bond movie is NEVER ever time wasted, even the not-so-good ones! Like in the "Octopussy" title song: "All I wanted was a sweet distraction for an hour or two..." ☺
The large building at the end of the movie is called "Hotel ESO" where ESO stands for the European Southern [Astronomy] Observatory. It is in the Chilean desert, not near a big city. (It's not in Bolivia.)
You should check out the song "No Good About Goodbye" written by David Arnold and Don Black and performed by Shirley Bassey. According to Arnold it wasn't written for the film but it works so much better than the Keys/White song.
In the short story, _Quantum of Solace_ has a more profound meaning: *The Governor paused and looked reflectively over at Bond. He said: 'You're not married, but I think it's the same with all relationships between a man and a woman. They can survive anything so long as some kind of basic humanity exists between the two people. When all kindness has gone, when one person obviously and sincerely doesn't care if the other is alive or dead, then it's just no good. That particular insult to the ego--worse, to the instinct of self-preservation--can never be forgiven. I've noticed this in hundreds of marriages. I've seen flagrant infidelities patched up, I've seen crimes and even murder forgiven by the other party, let alone bankruptcy and every other form of social crime. Incurable disease, blindness, disaster--all these can be overcome. But never the death of common humanity in one of the partners. I've thought about this and I've invented a rather high-sounding title for this basic factor in human relations. I have called it the Law of the Quantum of Solace.'* *Bond said: 'That's a splendid name for it. It's certainly impressive enough. And of course I see what you mean. I should say you're absolutely right. Quantum of Solace--the amount of comfort. Yes, I suppose you could say that all love and friendship is based in the end on that. Human beings are very insecure. When the other person not only makes you feel insecure but actually seems to want to destroy you, it's obviously the end. The Quantum of Solace stands at zero. You've got to get away to save yourself*
Last score that of David Arnold, the next composer will be Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, American Beauty, Road To Perdition, 1917, Meet Joe Black, etc) Great composer, he will be in the next 2 Bond movies and Hans Zimmer, will be in No Time To Die, the final Bond movie.
Especially this one, being heavily influenced by the mega-successful and Academy Award-winning "Bourne Ultimatum" that came out shortly before pre-production started on "Quantum". The influence went so far that they hired one of the editors (Richard Pearson) and the Second Unit Director (Dan Bradley - responsible for most of the action sequences) of "Bourne Ultimatum"...and you can see the direct link - like in the balcony jumps and motorcycle jump and the boat chase is really similar to the New York car chase in "Ultimatum".
My last rewatch for tonight, Jen, I really enjoyed seeing your reaction to it once again. I'll do some more rewatches tomorrow for you, before the premiere tomorrow night.
32:35 Poor Camille - that scarring on her back was from the flames that Medrano set at her house when she was little. Now all that trauma and phobia is coming back just after she had her revenge!
Pfffft, one of the BEST Bond opening songs. Even if JW is a toolbag and did it just to get new gear for his band(s), he and Alicia Keys knocked it out of the park. He played the drums, which most people don't know he can rock. SHE brought it, as always. I would have loved it to be him and Alison Mosshart but it wouldn't have been the same song.
A lot of folks say this is the most boring James Bond movie. I like intrigue and story, but I guess everyone wanted something a little sillier or action pack.
It is a good movie but it had a moody dark theme to it. The acting was good the effect held my interest. I give it four out of five, but it is worth watching.
"Pyramids!" The Spy Who Loved Me. When RM puts a fat henchman off a Cairo roof top. Another nod to the past was the necklace in the snow at the end. That's the cover of the novel On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Pan paperback.
Love your reaction to these movies Jen! I'm really happy that you're enjoying them so much! I'm down for a cup of champagne for No Time to Die and when you see it, believe me, you're gonna add Italy to your trip list 😉
Thanks, jen , the shortest bond movie. Run time .. fields. Her first name is strawberry. ( strawberry fields forever) beatles song. Oh, one of the guys at the party. Was in bind before, licence to kill , Timothy Dalton ls banker. Little easter egg.
Ok this is way too long but here's my review of this movie (by the way love your channel and reactions MoneyJenny). My favorite Bond movie for so many reasons. The emotional depth of Bond mixed with the gritty action, the Bourne-style hand to hand combat scene with Slate in Haiti, the badass Steve McQueen Great Escape-style motorcycle jump in Haiti (Craig actually has a striking resemblance to McQueen), dramatic opera scene with Tosca mirroring the gunfight (the only time Bond ever has a gunfight in a tuxedo), opening car chase with the Aston Martin DBS (possibly the most epic car chase ever), easter egg callbacks to the old school Bond movies like the Goldfinger skin suffocation death, the incredible soundtrack and use of the classic Bond theme especially in the end credits, and just the overall atmosphere of the cool fantasy universe that the movie takes place in really makes this Bond movie special for me. The only "negative" things about this movie are the use of extremely quick cuts in the editing of the action scenes, although I can forgive that as it adds a layer of frantic urgency and depth to Bond's blind rage, and the fact that this movie was affected by the writer's strike in 2008 which may have had a detriment to the movie's script and possibly was a reason for the short run time of an hour and 40 minutes. If you read this far I salute you

Totally agree with your summary.
Her first name is Strawberry.
"Bond, I need you back".
"I never left".
Chills everytime.
Have to agree. It almost feels like a movie designed for home viewing rather than cinema.
And it has one of the most interesting, well developed Bond girls of all time
Your Bond reactions are the best thing on the internet. Thank you.
🏆
These reactions have turned from Jen fangirling over Bond to Jen fangirling over David Arnold
You've worded my thoughts perfectly.
Love Bond and love people that Love Bond.
Jen wants a "Giant Laser" so bad! I had a great time watching you enjoying Bond.
Jen... it's been a pleasure watching this with you. The Daniel Craig Bond always delivers. Count me in on the next movie.
I love the opera scene here, and the one in MI 5. Always love that epic backing music.
For the longest time, I thought she was a local actress (Bolivia/Chile) because of the accent of her spanish. I was 🤯 when I found out she was a Chaplin!
Love your Bond reactions. Fun fact. Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter, Oona, has a cameo as a hotel receptionist.
Even though this one gets a lot of hate and it's probably not in my top fifteen Bond movies, the Opera scene just might be my favorite Bond scene.
This one definitely improves on rewatch, especially if you watch it back to back with Casino Royale. The plot is a bit overcomplicated, the villain is underwhelming, and the theme song is out of place, but I think the biggest strike against this movie is just how good Casino Royale was.
This reinforced my appreciation for Daniel Craig and M. Hands down. He took Bond to a darker place in a fantastic way.
Jen I am just glad Timothy Dalton still has first place in your heart!😀
Thanks Jen! I like this one more than most people. But then again, I always like the more down-to-earth Bond adventures.
idk how I missed this before? The Canadian girl at the end was Stana Katic, who co-starred with Nathan Fillion (Firefly) a year later in the long running show (8yrs) Castle.
Correct, that was Her indeed; fellow "Castle" Fans right here (Me & My Mom both)!!👍
Fantastic reaction, and I agree that David Arnold is amazing.
On Bond villains killed offscreen (36:00) : In the Living Daylights, Koskov is sent to Moscow "in the diplomatic bag".
I really liked this one. It tied 'Casino Royale' up and led seamlessly into the next one.
Great reaction Jen and then next time, my personal favorite Bond movie!!! Hard to believe only 3 Bonds movies left (at present time in 2023)
I did the Bond world tour, or half a Bond world tour. Pretty cool to visit some of the locations and kind of imagine yourself in a Bond movie. That's what us Bond nerds do.
It's interesting to consider how the Bourne movies and the Mission Impossible movies influenced the Craig Bond movies.
i actually really like this...lots of decent moments and watching right after casino royal works well. Its not perfect but not as bad as people claim
The woman that is a Bolivian agent in this film is also in Oblivion btw hehe! Skyfall you will love, besides it being a great Bond film it is considered a masterful film in general.
I love Oblivion so much! ♥
@@mr.a8315 I am with ya for sure! I have been campaigning for jen to react to it but I fear it wont happen for a while. It will literally blow her mind!
I’m a big fan of Olga Kurylenko and I think she outstanding in the film…I “met” her in Centurion 2010 ❤
25:28: “Holy ‘Chute!” 😄🪂
I always loved quantum! Glad you had fun with it!
Ayyee ANOTHER Amazing Movie & AMAZING Reaction Video! KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK! Love Your Bond Reactions, Cheers! :D
I really liked, and still like this one a lot. The story development arc is near perfect. The setting, scenery, action, tension, all good.
"Not as handsome as Timothy Dalton". Will anyone ever be, Jen? 🥰😂
I will admit that Danny Craig was extremely fit as bond to be able to do all these jumps and other stunts. And an exceptional fighter. Even Roger Moore said in an interview back then that Danny Craig scares him because he is too violent haha
Camille has always been one of my favorite Bond girls. She’s tough, determined, beautiful, intelligent, and doesn’t sleep with Bond.
I agree! She's definitely underrated. I like how this movie doesn't end with Bond and a woman happily together as if there's no problems in the world.
And Olga has gone on to make quite a few movies.
The "tender side" of Bond that you see is taken straight from the books.*
This one wasn't taken from a book, but the title was taken from a short story where Bond was talking with a South American official over dinner.
@@SuperCecileC are you ok. You seem very irrational over a harmless comment to highlight a few positives in a movie. Did you miss nappytime again?

Hi Jen, glad you enjoyed the film, always great to hear the true Bond theme, even if it`s relegated to the end for some reason.
"If you seek revenge, dig two graves."
I missed this one in the theater :( Not my favorite Craig Bond movie, but I still quite like it. I'm a huge Jack White fan and love the opening to the song in the credits, but I agree, not a favorite Bond song. "I never left"
Onward to Skyfall! Now that one, that one is my favorite Craig Bond movie.
"The Opera. Your headquarters for conducting Shady Business Deals since the 17th Century"
0:40 ooh. Woah. We're in the middle of a chase!
1:23 Daniel Craig looks goooood. He's a very handsome Bond. Not as handsome as Timothy Dalton.
1:44 we're in Italy. Ooh I wanna go to Italy. Alright we're adding Italy to the Bond World Tour list. If it's not already there, might be. (They have a bunch 😉)
1:53 Bondy. Bondy theme coming in.
2:15 ooh, who is this? Like a rock theme.
2:44 Jack White, oh oh, of the White Stripes, yes ok ok. That makes total sense.
3:11 oh, no.
4:00 Mmm hmm. Mmm hmm. Mmm hmm.
4:34 this music is adventurey
4:40 shooting in the crowd? Dude!
4:46 yes! Rooftop chase. To the roof! Like Jason Bourne.
4:53 parkour
4:58 ooh. Did he hit his head? Oh my God. And he does it all in a suit.
5:03 onto the bus. Yes.
5:16 I do kinda hope he clunks that guy's head on the bell.
6:05 alright alright. New suit. What do we make of this M?
6:13 seriously?
6:46 💵 STACKS and STACKS 💵
6:59 325. Remember that. Eh I don't need to remember that, Bond will remember that.
7:15 that reminds me, I still need to work on my lock picking skills.
7:26 oh, those beautiful glass doors.
7:41 ew, he really is just killing everyone though. He's not bringing anyone in for questioning, that's for dang sure.
7:47 he looks good in black
7:51 yes yes. Please yes.
7:56 oh no take it. Clue clue clue.
8:02 sexy lady pulls up and says get in. New sidekick. 💪
8:10 is he in her purse right now? Just going through her purse, secretly.
8:21 no he does not. Except for Felix!
8:30 tiny little car car chase baby.
8:37 oh, she just tried to shoot him in the face!
8:40 Never trust a sexy dame. No it was not.
8:44 punch him. Take his bike.
8:51 he's on a motorcycle. Is that a motorcycle or like a dirtbike?
9:09 is it too early for Bond to fall in love with someone else? I think maybe yes. He's not even, hasn't even avenged the last one yet.
9:20 ha, it always complicate things.
9:25 stop trying to kill me
10:06 or try to kill you again
10:29 Bolivia. Ok.
10:43 a desert. For what? A nefarious purpose no doubt.

12:34 pop their boat! Toot toot toot toot. 💪Air! Ooh yeah. Ooh that sound cut, I like it!
13:42 he won't need it. He'll just get on that other plane.
13:49 💁♀️ yeah right. I feel like he's gonna kill everyone. I don't think she can stop him.
14:38 say no. Say no. Never seen him before in my life.
14:43 Felix is our boy.
15:10 I'm suspicious of this CIA guy. We've not had good luck with bosses, people we're supposed to trust. They're always moles. Guess I'm thinking more of Mission Impossible though. (And handsome Henry 😂)
15:35 alright I'm ready 🤵🏻♀️
15:40 mmm swag
15:51 well last time we had a showdown at the, was it the symphony or was it symphony not the opera? Maybe it was the opera? I think I'm thinking of Mission Impossible again, I'm so sorry! (And handsome Henry 🥰)
16:15 if I ever have shady business to conduct, I'm doing it at the opera.
16:26 Canadians! 🇨🇦

18:53 I think she did too! Alright I like this dude.
19:40 it's not fancy enough for him? I'd rather stay at the morgue. Ah now we're talking. Yes. The Grand Hotel. Uh huh. Ya ya this is more his speed.
20:08 champagne 🥂
20:11 she half naked? Yeah. Ok. Alright. He is Bond.
20:16 I'm sure he has a gown for her.
21:55 maybe he shall sleep with her too.
22:08 hope there's not a body in there
23:22 is he flying that? I mean we've seen him fly a plane in the other Bond movies. But this is a plane plane.
23:45 game respecting game
25:03 they're ditching!
25:38 no, that's not how it happened
28:11 oh my God. Just like Goldfinger. Woah. That's a Goldfinger throwback yeah? That's what it reminds me of anyway. Ooh I got a chill.
28:47 yeah! M's got his back. Like I said, he's a pain in her ass but she trusts him.
29:49 just finish up his cerveza

33:06 I have a little desert business to attend to.
33:58 how did he know? 😂😂😂😂
34:39 Felix!
34:51 - happy Jen end credits -
Sadly (for me) its last Bond movie composed by David Arnold (THE best Bond composer after John Barry in my opinion), he did Bond tracks from Tommorow Never Dies till this movie, and no, he didn't died or anything, its just him not making tracks, i think Quantum is his best Bond soundtrack
(Also Quantum is my fav Bond movie, i actually like them all! Except Spectre, but i didn't watched it)
Jen, thank you for these reactions ❤ its really a pleasure to look at it
Jen, You Look, Mahvelous!! Your extensive knowledge of Bond films greatly enhances the reaction experience.
Quantum of Solace seems to be the most classicaly Bond style of the Craig era of films
I thonk you hit it on the nose with the relationship development between Bond and M. I also agree that it eas a callback to Goldfinger.
Oh, and the Canadian spy at the end was Stana Katic and she IS Canadian (she was in Castle with Nathan Fillion)
Here we go now, not the best in the Craig franchise but worth watching. Enjoy Jen .
That minister dude was Judy Dench's TV husband in a long running British sitcom.
Digging the top & lipstick combo :) Shame about the movie but they can't all be winners lol, Skyfall is next & imo the best of the craig era.
In the short story, _Quantum of Solace_ has a more profound meaning:
*The Governor paused and looked reflectively over at Bond. I have called it the Law of the Quantum of Solace.'*
*Bond said: 'That's a splendid name for it. You've got to get away to save yourself*
hi jen! love all your videos, many thanks from me across the pond! UK
siena is a recommend for sure, even when the horserace event isn’t being held. but florence is the big recommend from me, i love that city
Can’t wait for the next one!!!!!!
Last score that of David Arnold, the next composer will be Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, American Beauty, Road To Perdition, 1917, Meet Joe Black, etc) Great composer, he will be in the next 2 Bond movies and Hans Zimmer, will be in No Time To Die, the final Bond movie.
can't wait for you to see the next 2.
A lot more physical than other Bonds:The Daniel Craig Bonds were definitely influenced by the Bourne Franchise🎩
Jen's Quantum of Solace = Stacks of Fun. 😃💜
I nearly fell asleep in the cinema when I watched it when it came out. IIRC, this was affected by a writers strike and I think it showed.
'Is that a motorcycle or a dirt bike?" Yes. it looked like a duel-sport. A motorcycle that's made for both off and on road.
32:35 Poor Camille - that scarring on her back was from the flames that Medrano set at her house when she was little. Now all that trauma and phobia is coming back just after she had her revenge!
Olga Kurylenko....Stunning and so talented in everything she does.
I love your commentary’s, absolutely hilarious 😂
The Craig Bond is a response to the Bourne movies, which made the Brosnan Bond movies look like Afterschool Specials.
The CIA agent with Felix was David Harbour from Stranger Things.
Thanks, jen , the shortest bond movie. Run time .. fields. Her first name is strawberry. ( strawberry fields forever) beatles song.
Oh, one of the guys at the party. Was in bind before, licence to kill , Timothy Dalton ls banker. Little easter egg.
The next one is the best one so far made.
If you read this far I salute you
That opening is in Lake Garda which is stunning. Highly recommended.
Omg! I needed Jen and Bond today!
