Jen I know how you feel because I was in the theater and when Bond died, I cried and I said that it broke my heart. But it was really cute how he finally found true love and had a daughter too, thank you Jen for reacting to my favorite movies ever and I'll watch your Bond reaction videos everyday knowing that you're beautiful reactions has never stopped. ❤😊😎🔫🇬🇧🚘🍸💀💥
Fun tid-bit about the Bond franchise having spanned 60 years: Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne in 1952, Bond first appeared in the novel Casino Royal in 1953, this latest film came out in 2021 while Queen Elizabeth died in 2022. that means that the Queen's reign lasted longer than the James Bond franchise(so far) and that every iteration of James Bond (thus far) has served "On *_Her_* Majesty's Secret Service".
I’m sad we are at the end of the Bond reactions, it was a great journey and the ending definitely made me cry. Also thank you Daniel Craig for your performance as James Bond.
@jenmurrayxo it may not now seem an upside but Bond will return in some form. I say this remembering how much shit Craig got when they announced him as the new bond... then he went on to be a tie for my favorite Bond m, which is largely about the stories they used him and Lazenby in.
@@jenmurrayxo For a long time in the UK Bond films were always shown on TV at holidays - Christmas, Easter, etc, rarely at any other time - so they were always a special event when I was growing up and there were already so many of them that it took years before you'd seen *all* of them. It seemed to make them last forever... Anyway, this probably won't be of interest, but you've not seen the 1950s version of Casino Royale made for US TV: ua-cam.com/video/ztsXWp0nj2c/v-deo.html
Thanks for all the Bond movies, Jen. I have to confess, I didn't cry at the end of this movie. But this time, I did cry I think, because of you. I look forward to your comments.
This never ceases to kill me inside. But you're right about it, because Bond never would have been able to live "happily ever after". He wasn't built for that, and with a daughter what would he pass on to her? It really feels like this was the only way it could end for him and it's heart wrenching that this was his happiest possible ending.
I sat in stunned silence in the theatre for 5 minutes, just muttering to myself "He's dead, they killed him. I can't believe it, he's dead, they actually killed him!"
We absolutely want to see your fave Bond lists (in whatever order) now: Fave Bond film Fave Bond actor Fave Bond song Fave Bond villain Fave Bond henchman Fave Bond lair Fave Bond girl Fave Bond gadgets Fave Bond music Fave Bond opening Fave Bond ending Fave Bond...etc. etc etc... That should take you about another year...😉
Bond 25, Craig's final, following Knives Out (2019). Pushed back by the pandemic. Going into this, i had all kind of feelings. The theme by Billie Ellish is great. Glad it dropped in pre-release and got the award buzz going. The story itself is so much to offer. Bond is still quite the hero and stakes even higher. Equal amounts of villians and allies to handle. The plot of the bigger picture, 'Preventing world domination' makes it all more awesome. At the heart, it's all about the stoicism of Bond. What he means to be as an legendary figure of the spy genre. Bond's sacrifice in this era at the end was one of the biggest surprises ever. Coming in and leaving out like a legend. Craig's time as Bond is there with Connery & Moore's eras. But don't worry..... James Bond Will Return. Don't know when. But he will.
I always figured that this was how it was gonna end. A gritty realistic Bond was never going to get a happily ever after. And it was one hell of a ride.
The part of this film that moved me so much was the reprise of the love theme from On Her Majesty's Secret Service. What a wonderful tribute to the musician who composed that haunting theme - the legendary John Barry.
There are massive parallels between the ending of "No Time To Die" and Flemming's short story "You Only Live Twice." In the book, James Bond is thought to have perished in an explosion while investigating the villain's lair, which happens to be a castle on a remote island off the coast of Japan complete with a garden of deadly plants. He is actually retrieved and has memory loss, so he lives amongst the locals for months. He eventually leaves to in order to find his true identity. In the next novel, "The Man With The Golden Gun", it is revealed he had been found by SMIRSH, which is SPECTRE in the films, and brainwashed into becoming one of their assassins. There were so many references to both the prior Bond films, and novels, that undoubtedly the literature inspired the twist ending of "No Time To Die."
Nitpick: It's a novel rather than a short story. But you are totally right! Also, the 'Die Blofeld, die' line was lifted straight from the novel too. Although I had a hard time believing it in this film. Bond had always known him as Franz Oberhauser (even if he does know he changed his name), I just don't see how he would be so willing to call him Blofeld.
I have to say, Jen, one of the great joys of my life over the past year has been watching your reaction to the music in the Bond films. Just fantastic. Cheers from BC.
My son and I sat in stunned silence through the entire credits. I just want to thank you for doing all of the Bond movies. I've watch each reaction. It's been so much fun. JAMES BOND WILL RETURN!
Its been wonderful seeing u react to all Bond movies! Daniel Craig was a magnificent Bond and this was an emotional send-off but as much as I like the setting of the Daniel Craig era I honestly hope they go back to the past with future Bond movies. I wouldn't mind a campy Cold War era Bond. Anything to get out of the gritty era.
James Bond always liked to go out with a bang...but not like this!💥 Congratulations Jen, You've finally finished all 25 of these Movies! As Excited as I've been for this one, I've also been dreading it...because of that Ending! 😭💔 Also, Billie Eilish's Theme Song is "FIRE" (as the kids say nowadays)!❤🔥
Jen, thank you for watching and enjoying the Bond films. I grew up watching them since my parents let me see YOLT in 1967. I even vacationed in Switzerland and went to Piz Gloria (I'm a professional photographer and have a cool picture from the helipad if you'd like me to send it to you). So many references to OHMSS, especially in the music. Just remember: JAMES BOND WILL RETURN
@@user-le6ex5rc1s Or ana de armas character that's supposed to be a beginner but doesn't act like it at all cause "girl power" and all that. They completely ruined Bond with those last few films and killing him at the end we all know why they did it. Just remember what happened to Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Cleopatra, Little Orphan Annie, Bat Woman and the list goes on. It's all done with intention.
@@fyfyi6053 Seriously, I can't even begin to fathom how anyone could possibly think this and Spectre are good in any way. The writing is possibly the most bizarre concoction of bodged-together fan service ideas, completely pretentious self-indulgence, constantly repeated plot tricks and then tv kitchen sink drama with the little family of Bond, Moneypenny and Q all hanging out and talking endless exposition. Everyone now just goes around to each others houses to explain what's supposed to be going on with exposition and pure cringefest awkward comedy and Bond constantly losing his cool...which is completely not the character, along with many other traits people now seem to think are the character. Depressing drivel, masquerading as really high art too which is even worse. A bad Bond movie used to at least be a laugh and some fun, now we don't even get that and the depths of why the movies are bad is on another level altogether. They just destroyed the franchise because of current flash in the pan media trends. I bet Bond movies are dead now and what will happen is a load of tacky spinoffs will replace them on internet streaming services, you know the ones where every character is in their 20s, plastered in so much makeup it's really obvious even on camera and look like they're fresh off the catwalk. oh yeah, they'll all behave like really unprofessional angsty and confused teenagers always yelling at each other and being miserable too (well, some of this already happened in the craig movies).
@@fyfyi6053uh-oh the “fandom” shows up to spread misogyny and their delusional entitled views. You know it was in the movie that she wasn’t really a beginner? You might be more comfortable over on the critical drinker’s channel where you can all agree how terrible it is when films have speaking parts for women.
What a journey it's been, Jen, can't even begin to thank you for this, both with your channel and the Bond series. Major respects for them ending it that way, but so apropos with the way Craig's tenure was so connected with each outing, more serial-esque than any prior iteration. When M was toasting him at the end and everyone in the room also repeated the toast "to James", it popped in my head that they could possibly be acknowledging all the past 'Bonds' or actors that have played the part, such an iconic character in pop culture at that, but alas, missed opportunity, they weren't. And sorry to come across as a pest for requesting it a lot, lol, but I so wish you would also do Cavill's Man from UNCLE, unless you've already seen it. If it was a long time ago I'd say that wouldn't count and you definitely should watch it again with 'us' lol.
Well, I liked the few minutes where Ana De Armas showed up 😅 She looks fantastic kicking butt and is super cute in her interactions with Bond. Paloma needs a spin off movie with Wei Lin and any other surviving Bond girls. Very excited for Ana's John-Wickiverse movie Ballerina after her badassery here.
Her lines about her training were instantly one of the most iconic in the franchise. How they made it into the movie is hilarious. She was suggested for the role by Craig, who had worked with her on the movie "Knives Out." She began diligently training for the role, but was rather new to action sequences and not quite confident. She mentioned this every day to producer Greg Wilson, Cubby Broccoli's son-in-law, until one day she asked him, "I'm just not sure. Do you think three weeks training is enough?" He looked up from a draft of the script and said, "You know what? That line is going in the movie."
AYYEEE CONGRATULATIONS ON FINISHING ALL THE BOND FILMS! I Hoped You Enjoyed the film, fun fact, Billie Eilish is THE YOUNGEST Singer to ever sing a bond theme as she was 17 when she sang it, ALSO Thanks for watching Never Say Never Again! My Late father loved that film, and it meant a lot to me you were able to see it (I'm the one who suggested it) ALSO IF Rumors are to be taken seriously THEY ARE CONSIDERING Setting the next bond film in the 1960s! (ALSO I DO A MEAN No Time To Die Karaoke Cover ;) ), AND For the record, the Watch joke is MY FAVORITE Daniel Craig Bond Joke XD ANYWAYS KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK! CHEERS! :D
I love all the touches of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" in this movie. You hear the music from OHMSS a few times in it. It's even better because OHMSS is one of my top Bond movies.
Jen watching you conjures up the memory of the day night I watched this movie. Except I actually had it spoiled for me because of a friend in another country. The fact that you came into this as a casual Bond fan and the movie left this much of an impact on you is a testament to how well crafted and sad the ending of No Time To Die really is.
Great series Jen. You've been the best Bond reactor. Think I'm going to go through them all again. I enjoyed all the Bonds but the whole story arc to Daniel Craig has definitely been my favourite. He's such a great actor and played him as a real human Bond rather than an untouchable super hero . Made it all 3x more emotional. Think you'll appreciate it all when you've found your head space . Ps I'm cool with Cavill 🙂
An epic, exhilarating and emotionally charged end to the run of my personal favourite James Bond of all time. I'm eternally grateful for Daniel Craig's take on the iconic character and will sorely miss him 😢. Also a hearty thank you, Jen for reacting to the entire film series. I always look forward to your videos. Best wishes. 🥰x
Loved watching your reaction to the Bond franchise! Thanks for doing all of them. This one definitely hurt a lot but it'll be rebooted with another actor and another timeline. Similar to how Craig's Bond is in a different time-line than Brosnan, Connery etc. Fun fact, Bond's island house where he retired is the same house that Ian Fleming had written all of the original Bond novels.
Thanks for the commitment Jen! All the Bonds on your channel. It's an absolute that I will probably be re-watching all of them. Love your reaction today. Big time fan, always here...Eric 😊
When you understand the DC era is a re-boot, rather than a continuation with lots of dubious continuity issues like the SC, GL, RM, TD and PB era, then it's not really a death. It's just how they handled the reboot. They gave up on trying to do continuity in favour of reboots. Reboots give a huge license to do what you like. I'd like a reboot that sets the movies in the original era.
"Bond's co-owner MGM was acquired by Amazon in 2022, and long time 007 producer Michael G Wilson assured fans that the character will return. Many names have been bandied around by fans including Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, and Rege-Jean Page, but the most credible rumor to date is that "Kick-Ass" star Aaron Taylor-Johnson could be the next actor to play Bond."
Whenever there’s a lull between Bond films it’s tough to find things to get reinvigorated, and your watchalongs have helped fill that void. So, thank you for giving us something to continually look forward to over the last year!
I didn't see this ending coming either. Very bold & unexpected. This film is the best contemporary bond film I've seen due to the multiple gut punches of emotional tragedy, love & sacrifice. Watching all the bond films with you has been a terrific experience! Thanks Jen! 👏 👏 👍
Well done Jenny Penny. Mission completed. You have gone above and beyond the call of duty in watching all cannon and non canon Bond films and Bond spoof films. 😢🥇🌟
Hi Jen, I don't know what the producers have in mind, maybe this is the end of this particular thread since the Daniel Craig movies seem to be a self-enclosed story. However, this ending is very similar to the ending in the book "You Only Live Twice", and Ian Fleming did bring him back in an almost sensible way.
People were literally sobbing at the theater when I saw this. Can’t say I wasn’t one of them. Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever. Hopefully the franchise will continue.
Daniel Craig is "the best Bond ever" ..No he was the most recent James Bond sure. But Sean Connery Roger Moore Timothy Dalton, And absolutely Pierce Brosnan ..hell even George Lazenby is better.
I did actually expect Craig's Bond to die in his final movie, since it fits with the themes of NTTD and the Craig era. Themes of NTTD: * Retirement * End of the old glories of MI6 * Absolute disappearance of the faces that Bond met * Permanent loneliness * Disappearance of the 'spy Bond' due to his blood family Themes of the Craig era: * Bond being always a locus of pain and disaster for innocent people * Presentation of a world that might be better off without Bond * James with allies who need him, yet look down on him at the same time * Bond's eternal & tormenting struggle against decay His death would have upset me in another adventure with another version of the character (say, Moore's Bond or Brosnan's Bond) or in a story that didn't have the themes from NTTD. So I feel like Bond's death was a unique, cohesive and faithful way to end the Craig era.
What an accomplishment, Jen! Thanks for watching ALL the films, including the non-canon films, like your favorite the original Casino Royale. LOL I sure am interested to know what you're overall assessment is of the whole series.
Well... the ORIGINAL Casino Royale would be the 1950s TV adaptation in which Bond is an American... not many talk about that, perhaps understandably, but it's free to watch here on YT: ua-cam.com/video/ztsXWp0nj2c/v-deo.html
Can’t believe it’s over😔 It was a fun ride😃 My only complaint was not seeing Dalton getting one more film during his run as 007. Craig did a solid job even though he’s not my favorite
I just watched this movie for the first time earlier today, and I loved it! It's definitely in my top 5 bond movies of all time, and possibly my top 3... Anyway, thanks for doing all these reactions and inspiring me to finish the Daniel Craig films, Jen!
Fleming intended for "From Russia, With Love," to be his last Bond novel. It ends with Bond losing consciousness after being nailed in the shin by Rosa Klebb. Audience demand led to Fleming continuing the series.
Ok everybody get the tissues out I’m going to cry too not because the ending of this one is really sad but because we have reached the end of the bond movies.
This film is really both a nod to and a subversion of James Bond tropes. Not only with the parallels to 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' having Bond being in an unlikely lasting relationship, which is then cut short, but also following through on the logical next step of him having a child, finally casting Bond as a 'creator' rather than a 'destroyer', something he didn't think himself capable of. But also, traditionally as you've noted, there has often been a 'first love interest' who always either dies or betrays Bond, spurring him forward into the next part of the film. So, the inclusion of Paloma, who is clearly uninterested in him, physically capable rather than a damsel he fails to save, and who just leaves amicably, alive and happy, when her part in the story is done, is a deliberate departure on the writer's part from the repeated tragedy we've grown to expect for 'Bond girls'. Unlike the usual M.O. of action heroes, Bond doesn't end SPECTRE himself at all and only kills Blofeld accidentally as part of the plans of another. In fact, notably, the only 'big boss' that Daniel Craig's Bond actively deliberately killed throughout his whole run, is Raoul Silva, who was in the process of trying to kill himself (and M) at the time anyway. And now, Lyutsifer Safin, who while disturbed and nihilistic, is cast as a psychologically damaged victim whose life was destroyed by SPECTRE too, and who chose to spare and save Madelyn's life as a child, kidnaps her because she seems to be his only remaining connection to humanity, and eventually simply lets Mathilde go, because she doesn't want to be with him. While Safin embodies the diabolic plans, aesthetic and lair etc, of previous era Bond villains, the way his story plays out is quite different, with a tortured tragedy of his own. Then having Bond willingly die, because he recognises he is literally poisonous to those he cares about, is a fitting end for a character doomed to never have a 'normal' life, the one thing he has grown to want over his arc.
The reality is, with this story arc, regardless of whether he lived or not they really have no option but to reboot it. This series itself was a reboot, paying lots of homage to the earlier movies, and incorporating many characters and elements, but otherwise ignored the prior films and Bond. The death just makes this Bond arc feel complete. We saw him receive his 00 status, and we saw the end. That despite whatever he (or we) may have wanted, he lived for the job, and died for it.
When Brosnan started, he was the seasoned agent and Dench was the new boss. Then with Craig, Dench was the seasoned boos and he was just promoted to "00" status, so the Craig era was sort of a reboot itself.
I loved this. I must admit I shed a tear with you at the end. I really didn't take this as an end to a franchise, just the Craig version of the character. We saw him get his 00 in the first film, and his whole journey through to his demise. I really liked that they did something they'd never done before, and really made me feel something for the character that wasn't possible previously. This was a great great reaction, and very well judged. You made me think about the inevitability of this outcome in a way i hadn't before. And of course, some great music appreciation! Thanks Jen for a great journey through this series.
I really do love this movie, even though Craig wasn't my favorite Bond. It really brought a moving conclusion to his character. It let him become human. To be this caring character, yet still the man who gets the job done. It's a great balance for his final film, and IMO is incredibly redeeming for the character. I know some/many/all will say "that's not Bond though", but I'm glad they let Bond wrap up his character this way. I grew up on Bond, the films have ALWAYS been a part of my life. My mom let me watch the films on TV in the 70s and 80s because she loved the movies. I only wish she could have seen this movie and the conclusion to the character. It was a shocking ending to me, but a good one. Rest in Peace James. You earned it.
OHMSS is my favorite Bond movie, and if you listen they soundtrack frequently uses sound clues from it... it's a brilliant touch for a movie very much like that one to call back to it, even though it's not popular.
Let us raise a glass to both Daniel Craig for doing such a great job AND to Jen for watching the entire Bond series (including the 1967 Casino Royale). We are now all Bond out until the next installment. Until then, there are the many off-shoots that perhaps Jen can watch. Maybe the Flint movies (Our Man Flint and In Like Flint) starring James Coburn. I am sure others can have more suggestions as well.
First off...Congrats on doing the entire run of Bond films!!! They have been so much fun watching them through your eyes, Jen! You are awesome! - Ana De Armas was not doing all her stunts in heels. Movie magic being what it is, she was in more athletic-type shoes that were CGI'd out and replaced with the heels. I just learned that a few days ago! I loved her in this so much!!! I wanted more of her in it! - Rami Malek is as creepy as Safin, the villain. Such a change of pace from Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. He and Daniel Craig got along like a house on fire on set. | - You might have missed it, but when they were at Q's flat, he said that he was waiting for someone and that he was expecting "him" soon. I am pretty sure that this is because Ben Whishaw, who plays Q, is openly gay and asked if his character could be gay as well. This was an excellent little touch to his character. - This is still a very hard-to-watch Bond film because of the ending. It makes sense for Craig's Bond, but...not for Fleming's Bond, who always comes back. Anyway...thanks so much for these reactions.
I see you had the appropriate freak out at "We have all the time in the world" .. me jump off the couch "NO YOU CAN'T SAY THAT!" The theme is spot on perfect for the movie. One of the best. "I'll just be a minute" DAMMIT!!! "You have all the time in the world." DAMMIT AGAIN!!! To James.
Sweet reaction.. ❤. I cried like a baby in the opening week of this movie in cinema.. also as i know you are not professional cryier as some reaction ppl are.. your reaction to the end felt real and fresh 🥰
Yup. Same feeling at the end of the movie when I went to see it in theaters. Me and my friend we just froze, not able to comment, completely speechless. But, as you said, as much as I hate the fact that he dies, this movie is just sooooo good! Thank you for the journey. Can't wait to see what this franchise will give us next!
This film has several extremely small details that connect it to the books but two of them stand out to me. Very minor book spoilers. 1. The working title was Shatterhand and Dr Guntram Shatterhand was the alias used by Blofeld in You Only Live Twice which also features a poison garden. 2. Safin survived the shooting at the start because his internal organs were on opposite sides of his body so when Madeleine shot him in the heart she went for the wrong side. This physical anomaly was shared by Dr No. It's a nod to the book nerds but I appreciated it.
I Hate To Be Pessimistic. @@johnhenryclark911 They'll do the same thing "Casino Royale" did--start all over again. Craig's Bond isn't connected to the Connery through Brosnan Bond. Hell, they could conceivably go back to the formal series. But this universe is done.
@@johnhenryclark911 The same way Bond could be in his 30s getting his 00 status for the first time in 2006's Casino Royale, when he has already been doing it since the 60s. I get what you mean though, until DC era there had always been a sense of continuity in the franchise, with the character resetting to a younger age with each actor. They took a chance by rebooting (a term that didn't even exist at the time) the franchise. So I can understand why they would want to close DC's time in a more conclusive way then other actors. That's not what I would have done. Will the franchise next get a similar reboot like Casino Royale did, or will it act like a continuation of the films before DC. I don't know. But they fully intend to make more. It's been documented in the news and the ending credits of this one even had (like all the others) text reading "James Bond Will Return"
@@randomhuman97 Absolutely untrue. "GoldenEye" begins with Bond in Russia in 1986... between Moore but before Dalton (the date chosen specifically for that reason) and then jumps ahead to Bond being tested for service after his actions in "Licence to Kill." And in 'The World is Not Enough," Elektra asks Bond "Haven't you ever lost anyone?" and Bond clams up cause he's thinking of his wife. And in "Die Another Day," Bond recognizes and refers to the jetpack he used in "Thunderball." It is NOT a "soft reboot." You guys got to understand that just because a story doesn't reference every little thing that happened before doesn't make it a "reboot" or "standalone" story. That's fanservice.
I grew up with Bond and seeing it in the cinema I was in a state of shock at the end. I couldn’t believe they actually did it. But after a longer time with thoughts it’s the only real logical ending to give him. He’s a loner, an assassin who’s only function is to protect us from evil. The character of Bond isn’t meant to have a nice quiet life with wife and kids. His existence is for our safety and when that’s done, cinematically we salute him and he’s killed off.
Lol you realize that the people who watched Roger Moore playing James Bond SEVEN times in tbe movies said exactly the same thing as you did.."Moore waa perfect and his run was THE Bond, start to finish I loved the connected story we got, incuding the ending!
Quite a shock, right? I wasn't expecting that, either! But I love the film - so classily shot, and a great cast. Fascinated where they go from here… Thank you for all your Bond reactions, Jen, they've been brilliant 🙂
Went to see at the cinema when it came out for my birthday and couldn't believe at the end that a Bond movie had me in tears...I know the ending has split opinion but I thought it was a beautiful way to finish the Craig Bond story
Madeleine was 13 and Safin was about 17 or 18 at the time. People obviously mature rapidly from 13 to 18, so that is why Safin looked a lot older at the time he killed Madeleine's mother.
Great journey watching all these again with you. It was a blast! Yes, please do a wrap up video with your overall thoughts, a few rankings and your favorite moments.
I've sat in the theater watching this just like you here...gasping with disbelief..."they can't do that, they can't do that...oh my god THEY DID!!!" The whole place was dead silent and then the end "His name was Bond, James Bond" and Louis Armstrongs' song from the George Lazenby film gave me the rest...needed some time to process that afterwards, but even after 5-6 times viewing I am still shedding tears at the end...
With all the references to On Her Majesty's Secret Service I was sure they were going to kill Madeleine, so I liked this inversion. As always James Bond will return.
I saw this in the afternoon on opening day in the US, while everyone else was at work or in school. My boss knows that I will be taking the day off whenever a new James Bond film opens. They came up with an ending I never expected. I had to wait through the credits at the end, looking for the words "James Bond will return."
Top of the mountain & end of the journey (for now). Full license & privileges in the _007_ club, granted. More Daniel Craig: 2004's _Layer Cake_ - the '00s classic that earned him the Bond role. Recommended.
One of your best, Jen! As a long time Bond fan, I had the same "I can't believe it" reaction to the end. Your emotion was very genuine and one of the reasons I love your videos. Your toast at the end was very heartfelt and a really touching moment.
Well done for sticking with the series! 'NTTD' is a great send-off for not only Craig but the whole run in general (although "Bond will return" apparently). The set-pieces are great, personal stakes are raised significantly and Craig turns in his best performance of the lot.
Indeed, at the very end of the credits it says the usual message - James Bond Will Return. The producers have said they are discussing what direction to take the series in next. I don't expect a new one until 2027.
I'm still mourning the end of the Craig era. The loss of the Craig incarnation, the loss of both Ms, and the support team of Eve Moneypenney, Q, and Tanner. Even though "James Bond will return," I feel, for the first team in decades, how it truly won't be the same.
Thanks Jen for your reactions, emotions! Happy to have you at Bond fandom! That was quite a ride and this one especially. Yes, waiting for your Bond films review video.

The Aston Martin that Bond is driving at 21:34 is the one used by Timothy Dalton
Fun tid-bit about the Bond franchise having spanned 60 years:
Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne in 1952, Bond first appeared in the novel Casino Royal in 1953, this latest film came out in 2021 while Queen Elizabeth died in 2022.
that means that the Queen's reign lasted longer than the James Bond franchise(so far) and that every iteration of James Bond (thus far) has served "On *_Her_* Majesty's Secret Service".
Fitting that the next Bond will be serving in His Majesty's Secret Service.
"We have all the time in the world..." The fact you caught that makes you one of the best Bond reactors ever!!!
I’m sad we are at the end of the Bond reactions, it was a great journey and the ending definitely made me cry. Also thank you Daniel Craig for your performance as James Bond.
Thanks for being along on the ride with me! Can't believe it's over
@jenmurrayxo it may not now seem an upside but Bond will return in some form. I say this remembering how much shit Craig got when they announced him as the new bond... then he went on to be a tie for my favorite Bond m, which is largely about the stories they used him and Lazenby in.
For ultimate completion you should still watch CASINO ROYALE from 1954 with very first Bond-actor Barry Nelson.@@jenmurrayxo

What a journey!!! Your BOND reactions have been the best on UA-cam. I am sad to see them end.
Thanks for being along for the ride! Cant believe it's finished
For now.
I love the appreciation for the one great espionage film franchise in the world everyone respects and recognizes
Thanks for all the Bond movies, Jen. I have to confess, I didn't cry at the end of this movie. But this time, I did cry I think, because of you. I look forward to your comments.
Thanks for being along for the ride with me!
Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die is one helluva three-film run!
4 film run Casino Royal kicks the story off
@@jeffreymiller6847 sure, but Quantum of Solace was between Casino Royale and Skyfall.

"She has your eyes". Heartwarming and gut wrenching at the same time 😭
I'm number 2 👍 for sure!!! Congrats to Jen Murray for doing all the Bonds!!! Not just some, ALLLLLL. She beat Shan Watches Movies!!
I have to say, Jen, one of the great joys of my life over the past year has been watching your reaction to the music in the Bond films. Just fantastic. Cheers from BC.
Thanks for being along for the ride with me 🥂
My son and I sat in stunned silence through the entire credits. I just want to thank you for doing all of the Bond movies. I've watch each reaction. It's been so much fun. JAMES BOND WILL RETURN!
But maybe he shouldn't.
Agreed!

Such a fitting ending to Craig's tenure. Great reaction. I've loved taking this Bond trip with you. You have made it truly special. Thank you.

Yes, an awful, pretentious, forced-drama misery fest of an ending...perfectly fitting for the Craig movies.

They will do another Bond. This is a 5 movie Bond from beginning to end.

I am always in tears in this movie. A beautiful ending to a beautiful run. What a great Bond Craig became.

Sorry, I got distracted during the first part of the video, so I may have missed that. Won't happen again.
You have all the time. 🙄
I was so glad to see this in 2021 in the theater. The movie was only delayed 18 months due to COVID🙁🙁🙁
I didn't want this day to come :(
Same lol
Congratulations! You are the only UA-camr who saw all the Bond movies, the rest only saw a few.
She did a lot of action also in "Ghosted" with Chris Evans
AYYEEE CONGRATULATIONS ON FINISHING ALL THE BOND FILMS! This was my fav Bond so far.
Bond films are the coolest thing on Earth.

JEN: Isn't it now time for the James Bond spoofs OUR MAN FLINT (1966) and its sequel IN LIKE FLINT (1967)? 🙂
Thanks for being along for the ride Eric!
22:07, one of the best parts to No Time To Die. The second scene between M and Bond, listen to the music.
Perfect ending to the Daniel Craig era as Bond. But as it always says in the credits. “James Bond will return”
Another WONDERFUL review! I even felt your tears! Man o man. I bet that the daughter will be a new 00 in years to come. We'll see!
You made it Jennypenny! Congrats. You did a wonderful job on these.
The full gadget set of the iconic Astin Martin being deployed in the pre-credit sequence is pretty dope too, and a great callback to Bonds of yore.
Themes of NTTD:
* Retirement
* End of the old glories of MI6
* Absolute disappearance of the faces that Bond met
* Permanent loneliness
* Disappearance of the 'spy Bond' due to his blood family
Themes of the Craig era:
* Bond being always a locus of pain and disaster for innocent people
* Presentation of a world that might be better off without Bond
* James with allies who need him, yet look down on him at the same time
* Bond's eternal & tormenting struggle against decay
His death would have upset me in another adventure with another version of the character (say, Moore's Bond or Brosnan's Bond) or in a story that didn't have the themes from NTTD.
So I feel like Bond's death was a unique, cohesive and faithful way to end the Craig era.
What an accomplishment, Jen! Thanks for watching ALL the films, including the non-canon films, like your favorite the original Casino Royale. LOL
I sure am interested to know what you're overall assessment is of the whole series.
Well... the ORIGINAL Casino Royale would be the 1950s TV adaptation in which Bond is an American... not many talk about that, perhaps understandably, but it's free to watch here on YT: ua-cam.com/video/ztsXWp0nj2c/v-deo.html
I forgot how badass Ana de Armas was in this one, especially in that gown and heels!
Your fangirl reactions to every Bond film have been great fun. Well done.
The Poison Garden is a reference to the novel of Dr No, but left out of the movie - we’ve looped back!
Fleming intended for "From Russia, With Love," to be his last Bond novel. It ends with Bond losing consciousness after being nailed in the shin by Rosa Klebb. Audience demand led to Fleming continuing the series.
Exactly, Fleming himself 'killed' Bond in a sense, but that didn't stop him from bring Bond back for new adventures.
I grew up with Connery and Moore, but now Craig is the best Bond and always will be. "You have all the time in the world."
Fab analysis!
Bless you Jen.
I know you really like Daniel Craig as Bond and this ending is a real tear-jerker.
But just remember that... Bond Will Return. :)
Thank you for going through the Bond movies. I enjoyed watching them with you very much. 👍😊
🥂
The ending really got me
First off...Congrats on doing the entire run of Bond films!!!
With Craig, you watch how he started and how he ended. His story is my favorite collection of the series, from a journey's perspective.
I see you had the appropriate freak out at "We have all the time in the world" .. me jump off the couch "NO YOU CAN'T SAY THAT!"
The theme is spot on perfect for the movie.

You can see the next one in theaters. You'll of course have to take all of us with you.

@codyherrick4422 even Brosnan was a soft reboot of the franchise.
Except for the TWINE family motto, there's no relation to the previous bonds
@@randomhuman97 Absolutely untrue. "GoldenEye" begins with Bond in Russia in 1986... between Moore but before Dalton (the date chosen specifically for that reason) and then jumps ahead to Bond being tested for service after his actions in "Licence to Kill." And in 'The World is Not Enough," Elektra asks Bond "Haven't you ever lost anyone?" and Bond clams up cause he's thinking of his wife. And in "Die Another Day," Bond recognizes and refers to the jetpack he used in "Thunderball." It is NOT a "soft reboot."
You guys got to understand that just because a story doesn't reference every little thing that happened before doesn't make it a "reboot" or "standalone" story.
Craig was perfect and his run was THE Bond, start to finish. I loved the connected story we got, including the ending!

I like this one but it wasn't as good as Casino Royale and Skyfall. But a good sendoff for Daniel Craig.
Makes me tear up every time. Yes, men do have emotions.
Yes I thought that's where it was going too!
