So I leave Broome and head inland on the Great Northern Hwy in 41 degree heat - I make the mistake of not taking enough water and feel the extreme effects of the Australian heat ! I look over the custom CVO Road Glide and review its performance as I make my way to Perth and then my way home, I meet back up with Veronica !

Wales will take a week if you stop at all the castles! Get to Harlech by far the best castle in North Wales except for Caergwrle my home castle.. cheers H
If you kept most of your skin covered up you wouldn't need so much water, because you wouldn't evaporate so much sweat, and wouldn't get so dehydrated. I've ridden 8 hours in 35-40c heat only stopping for lunch in the middle and fuel stops with no problems. Vented leather jacket with armor, and riding jeans with armor. 90% comfortable at any speed over 50kmph and most comfortable at highway speed. I can't say it enough. If you at the least had pants and a white long sleeve shirt on you would have been SO much more comfortable. Next time you're riding in the heat, stop, take off the black shirt, put on the long sleeve white one and you will immediately feel more comfortable and as a result safer. Don't have to take my word for it, try it for yourself. Edit: not to mention having protection from the bugs and burns.
i rode 3000 miles in 100 deg heat with leather jacket. more comfortable than no jacket
100% this. He needs a leather jacket.
soak your shirt in water underneath then chuck that jacket on.
Only idiots wear leather it does not breath textiles are much better for long haul. I rode 8million km in 400 degree heat to mars I was good
Worked at a HD dealership for 30 years. Still can’t explain black T-shirt in excessive heat.
I've been riding during summer heat with other riders, most wear shirt sleeves.. I was asked why I'm wearing long sleeves.. said because its cooler when moving and dont get sun burned

As a Australian Postie. I work everyday in the Queensland Hot sun. Keep yourself covered. Long sleeve shirt and long pants. You'll dehydrate faster in shorts and T shirt. And a ride like that you'd really need a camel back. With packets of Hydrates.

loved when everyone showed up at the dealership to greet you two. Can't wait until the next adventure.
Working as a mechanic in summer when the workshop is in the high 30's in overalls made it hard to concentrate, best solution I had was rolling up a clean rag and soaking it in water then wearing it around my neck like a scarf and just wetting it now and then, which you could do while riding.
Helped cool the blood supply to the brain enough to stop fade and generally just felt a bit less like being oven baked.
When riding in Summer in States I found those neck snakes and bought a heap home, great at cooling the blood going to the head

It was an arduous trip for You and V. A great relatuonship builder that was made evident in your and her interactions with eachother. In some ways this is a love story as it is a moto vlog. Danny! I know you're busy with life, but I hope you see this. Thank you so very much for sharing this experience, it was absolutely brilliant! By the way, years ago when I was invested heavily in motorcycles, I worked with a company in Texas, even flew down to greet them among other commitments. They were named Cool Power, they made a unique moto helmet that had a heat sink "mohawk" along the top. I worked with the prototypes, I have no Idea how they did in later years.
The cooling system used Peltier cells, these are used today in common 12 volt plug in coolers. The system had a soft silicone bladder that rested along your head, inside the helmet. Most people do not understand this, but your head is a huge radiator of heat, splashing water on your noggin is the best! In the desert heat, I must attest, those helmets were fantastic.

As many riders here in Canada live vicariously through bike videos waiting for our season to begin, yours were very entertaining & inspirational. I sat here many nights watching your vids and felt all the tears falling on keyboards of Harley riders as you put that beautiful CVO through it's paces. Actually spit out a mouth full of beer myself when you posted in your last vid "too dangerous & reckless to attempt on a motorcycle"! lol Could never decide who was crazier, you or your passenger??? Having lived and ridden in central Queensland ,40C the best investment is an airflow coat ,you sweat into the coat ,the wind blows through keeping you at least cool enough.
You got one thing right ,more than one water container.
A camel back is also essential , constantly sip water.

Im taking off next week have hyundai i40 with cubcamper to simese cats going for to week dont no where ill end up clear my head. Furneral 29th on saturday morning going. You have struggle with depresson well atm im fucked need get away if i didnt have caspa 4yld simese simba 7yld simese be worse. Those to have keept me going.
