    Egyptians had a high grain diet. That's why their society was subject to more CVD than other traditional paleo societies more than a century ago.

    My observation is that Diabetics are carb addicted, especially to simple sugar.

      Type 1 I would disagree

    • @robwestley7370
      @robwestley7370 3 роки тому +2

      @@greglopez179 type 1 is not the general diabetes it is an autoimmune disease, the main diabetes is as said caused by too many carbohydrates for that person, every person has a different level that there body copes with some can tolerate a lot of carbohydrates and others are not as fortunate, and have metabolic syndrome, which is only reduced by taking the soda and sugar and carbohydrates out of the diet.

    32:05 didn't the ancient Egyptians eat a lot of grains? They constantly saving stores of grains for drought in the bible.
    Isn't there something about the nobles having awful teeth from the sand in the flour from being stone ground? The richer you were the more refined and ground the flour was. Wouldn't that match up with ancient Egyptians having higher rates of heart disease? I'm sure I've also heard that the army was fed on cheap grains.

    • @colleenlazoruk9305

      The wealthy, 'lucky' grain eaters had rotten teeth due to carbs breaking down/feeding microbes that helped in the process. No sand necessary.

    Calcium score essentially misses out soft plaque which are vulnerable compared to hard plaques & stress test misses out soft plaques less than 50 % obstruction.

    • @LTPottenger
      @LTPottenger 3 роки тому +4

      Soft plaque is irrelevant. It is always around and will always break off. The heart attack occurs once there is so much calcium buildup that the soft plaque can't get through then you're dead. If you can keep your plaque at the same level that is enough to keep from getting a heart attack.

    • @LTPottenger
      @LTPottenger 3 роки тому +1

      There is also a difference between showing some plaque and dying of heart disease. You can have a lot of plaque before you get heart disease, and on a mostly meat diet it would be very hard to get enough plaque to eventually get a widowmaker.

    Hi
    I'm 48 years, I'm running from high school and still I run every day 4 miles but recently I found out that I have calcium score of 136 on
    (LAD) Left Anterior Descending 136(AJ-130) 23(Mass) 45(Volume-130).
    Normal BP: 120/80
    Glucose is normal (89/Fasting)
    Triglycerides 93
    HDL 59
    VLDL 16
    LDL 154
    Total Cholesterol 229
    EKG is normal, Stress test is normal and Nuclear test is normal
    Except CAC/LAD: 136
    My Cardiologist prescribed atorvaSTATIN and Aspirin. I tried few doctors and all doctors are saying take both everyday forever.
    I'm really lost in all directions.
    Any advise is really appreciated.

      10 grams per day of table salt or 5500 mg of Sodium .

    LCDH: Please do us ALL a favor and provide clearly the DATE of the events, (virsus date of your upload, and let us know also if it's your repeat upload). In this case I see 2020 - which was a very long year. Which date in 2020 did this event take place.
    Same request for ALL of your (lame) repostings. I must call them lame as you are preventing the viewing public from knowing the when/where and more specifics as to the initial video. Do we not a a right to google this, and find out more for ourselves? We may, in fact, be interested in more resources available from the events/speakers.

    Calcium score is for hard calcium plaques, would a CT Angiogram enough to know the level of soft plaques. If both calcium score and CT Angiogram are fine, is there a high probably that your heart is more or less healthy?

    • @LTPottenger
      @LTPottenger 3 роки тому +1

      There is no reason to care about soft plaques. Your body will constantly throw off bits of plaque but this only becomes a problem once your hard plaque level is so high that the clot cannot make it through then the artery clogs and you get a heart attack. You can learn all about this in some of Ivor Cummins's talks about the CAC score.

      You can check Robert Lustig MD on youtube he has a really great video about it.
      Also check out Paul Jaminet perfecthealthdiet.com/category/disease/liver-disease/
      "Polyunsaturated fats are usually a factor in liver diseases. As we discuss in the book (pp 57-58), polyunsaturated fats - either omega-6 or omega-3 - combined with alcohol or fructose are a recipe for fatty liver disease and metabolic syndrome, especially if micronutrient deficiencies figure in the mix."

    Just because you can do something (Eat Meat) doesn't mean you should...TBH... I believe for someone to change from eating meat to longer eating meat...This will ONLY happen for a couple reasons probably more reason but the two major ones 1.) Spiritual 2.) Health (life or death situation.. eventually tho I believe after someone drops meat and starts eating plants they see things differently Ex. People can I understand why meat isn't the best option in a spiritual way... This is why it's so hard for people to stop eating meat.. Because it has to be a spiritual change.. just my opinion
