  • We install Audi TTS 4 Piston Brake Calipers and Giro Disc Rotors on our Alltrack. We also finish with our Forge Motorsport lift kit in the rear. After completing our lift we take the Alltrack for a test drive, bed the brakes, and locate where we are rubbing.

    It's funny, Alltrack sounds like a more track oriented version of an Allroad. But really it's more off road. But I love the idea of turning an Alltrack into a true track monster (yet sleeper), building on its Golf R similarities and overlap.

    Kind of torn on this build, in that, the alltrack was already silly high from a jetta wagon and this lift may just result in an SUV in the end. Nothing wrong with the story and it is fun following the details. By the way, rallycross cars are really low.

    I think you've got those calipers mounted on the incorrect side. I believe the anti-vibe weight, or counter weight is supposed to be on the forward rotor rotation side matching the pad rotation arrow that shows on the OE Audi brake pads for these calipers. I believe you needed to pull the bleeder valves and cross-over line and reverse the order.... Please confirm. I believe the pistons are slightly offset in this caliper and rotor rotation indicates you need to switch sides with your caliper install and swap the bleeders and cross-over line order. Again, please confirm.

      @ericmichel3857 4 роки тому

      Oh is that what that is, I never seen that on a caliper before. Why would it matter if it is on top or bottom? The pistons look symmetrical from what I can tell. And it looks like the line and bleeders are factory installed, and you certainly want the bleeders on top so...

    I installed a stage 1 unitronic tune on my 2012 GLI and shortly after had some intake manifold issues that brought me to a dealership for repair. The dealership told me my tune was causing too much crank case pressure and I have had it off ever since. Car has been running perfectly since it was repaired and I don’t know if I actually had a crank case pressure issue. Anyone have any tips and thoughts on putting the tune back on now?

      Just ordered these for my mk7 can you help out... are they too big in diameter to fit in the wheel or do they come in contact with the wheel would I need a spacer or 19s... I really don’t wanna run 19s

    • @ZZGTKING
      @ZZGTKING 5 років тому

      NvrrSrryy it’s the ET, not the size, If you fit wheels like TE37, 18inch should be fine, with stock wheel I remembered more than 20mm thick spacers are needed to fit the wheel so I gave up, don’t want to ruin the steering feel and dynamic behavior. Also I live in China and the road condition is very complex but with stock rims I don’t have to worry about damaging them when I am late for work, they are like 80USD each in the second hand market.
