Watching this while wearing my freshly serviced 1971 King Seiko 4502-7001 Hi-Beat(36000 BPH). 50 years old and still runs well within COSC. Heck, it even has an instantaneous date which GS only just recently reintroduced with its latest Hi-Beat movement. Vintage KS and GS have been underappreciated but things are changing. Really enjoyed watching this!
And now Seiko made a king seiko reissue putting a lame 6r movement in it, shitting on its own legacy.
How does this not have more likes and views? GS is the very essence of pride of watch making!
The gentleman who designed this beautiful feat of precision engineering, is most definitely a musician at down to his beating heart. Which is echoed quite literally through this symphony of moving parts. Like a Maestro, who’s able to bring harmony to an orchestra made up of many different types of musicians. A symphony is born.
It’s all possible because of his genius ability to keep time. I would’ve guessed he’d be more of a drummer than a guitarist. Either way.......... He’s created a Masterpiece.
And THAT takes talent, and tenacity. Both of which he clearly has.
Too cool.
Proud owner of Grand Seiko
Just discovered these talks. On my second one. The first one was a few hours ago. I'm addicted. Was always a fan of GS for years and read up so much on it but this is so thoroughly explained. Thank you. One day I hope to afford one. 🇿🇦🇿🇦
I’m watching this wearing my SLGH003 and am totally amazed on the new movement, specifically the dual impulse escapement on a free sprung balance wheel. Thanks to GS for the lecture...great new calibers.
I have been a big fan of Seiko watches for nearly 3 decades. Seiko delivers impressive innovations across many time keeping technologies. Keep up the great work and thank you for this wonderful presentation Seiko and HSNY!
Great Video and thorough introduction to Grand Seiko. Def. learned a lot-and on my grail list now. Thanks Teddy and Joe!
Thank for further enlightenment of GS to my knowledge so far✌️👌😃🤓🤙, wow...
I’ve been consuming watch content and learning as much as I can for about a month now and I wasn’t expecting this lecture to be so interesting. The more I learn the more I want to learn!
Honestly I didn't expect such an interesting video it didn't felt as long as it was
Once again, some amazing insights. New information on GS-technology is always appreciated, especially from the creators themselves. Additionally, Joe does a great job conveying GS to an american audience and bridges the significant culture gap quite well.
Thanks to Grand Seiko ! My Snowflake is magnificent. Spring drive is running around +10 seconds, per MONTH.
My expectations were for the details to "be right", even under magnification. And have the highest standard of accuracy, built by "craftsman" with the intent of excellence.
Grand Seiko surpassed my expectations with this watch.
Very interesting series on Seiko and their spring drive mechanism. Great content !
T0 is an absolute stunner!!! 👍🏼🇯🇵👊🏼
amazing video - sooo interesting
great content 👌
G.S give that man a promotion! Informative presentation superbly delivered.
Incredible wish I could afford one
Seiko movements are amazing
i have the baby alpanist with a 6 r35 its better than the rolex explorer
i wear it Dailey it has a 2 sec + a day it has even a minute a month accuracy
That T/0 sounds so good
totally the price will surge!
Hate to be the guy with the "beater" but SRP777,but darn close to a SBDB009.
And now you tell me, that ROLX is innovative by giving us new color dails and bezels........its a shame that ROLEX is overhyped. Not even close to watchmaking artistry.
Grand Seiko and all other Independents should be honored.
Rolex is dog Doo doo
❤❤❤
❤
T0 sounds like a techno track :)))
is Grand Seiko working on any anti-magnetic technology?
Any work on silicon that GS is working on?
Spring drive and 9F are already resistant to magnetism.
@@jdavis234
I don’t think so. Please see the manual available on the grand seiko website. Both for quartz and spring drive it says that the watch can get magnetised
@@jdavis234 also the mainspring is made of ferrous materials.
They released recently the SBGX341 with a anti-magnetic 4000 A/m 9F movement
When will the T0 movement be used in a watch?
👌🏻
Great video but sooo many adverts. I couldn't watch more than 20 minutes before getting too irked by the constant interruptions.
Thanks for pointing this out! You are right, the mid-roll ads were too much. They are now turned off and there are only ads before the video begins.
@@HorologicalSocietyofNewYork Great, thank you.
so the production watches dont have those cool blue curved hands?? but the same old boring grand seiko hands?
حلم. حلم.
Too thick and bracelet are why gs never sells
God he talks so slow Jesus Christ
Watch the video on 2x speed, lol
I find his cadence appropriate. 👍👍
