Fascinating plan. I may have just found my plane after two years of searching. Got a few questions ability your wing and the stall characteristics....who wld be the best person to talk to?
Daryl Johnson Thank you for your interest we don’t feel the need for flapperons the wing is large and draggy stall speed is around 25 miles an hour so flapperons really wouldn’t improve things too much.We always strive to deliver kids in three weeks but we do have a couple in front of you so let’s say a month feel free to call me at anytime with any questions, 623606966 to call or text thank you
@@gair-planesllc6254 Thanks for the answer. The price isn't on your website(which is a bit buggy btw, just letting you know that), can you please state what it is? Thanks!
In order for it to be an ELSA - the manufacturer has to first have built and certified the aircraft as an LSA. As of this writing the Mule is not on the approved list, thus there can not be an ELSA model. It is an experimental amateurbuilt aircraf that meets the definition of the light sport aircraft category, and can be flown by a light sport aircraft pilot. The Ultralight Flyer
The Mule looks great! Me love America... So much cool stuff. Wonder if I could get dual citizenship so I can come back to UK for my free health care. That would be kinda perfect. :)
The Merlin was NOT based on the Kitfox or an Avid clone! It was designed from the ground up, as a two seat ultralight trainer in Canada. Some of the noticeable differences, single strut, D cell wing construction, air foil, suspension system, just to name a few. The Ultralight Flyer
Mmmmmm,Nice, I still have a 1994 merlin with 912 engine. Lovely plane and it is lots of fun!! Nice vid!!
Thanks for watching!
Canadians are such nice people 👍
They are nice...unless you're playing hockey against them. But afterwards everything is cool.
Very nice,, I always like this channel

The best would be to contact them via their website. Failing that I have many hundreds of hours flying on the Merlin.

Hi Garrett , is there a flaperon option or is it not needed? Also, whats your lead time for kits currently. I’m very interested.

Is this one LSA compatible?
Yes its an ELSA
It can be flown with a sport pilot license and meets the weight limit, but has to be built as an experimental aircraft

How do you manage to do interviews when there is always annoying aircraft engine noise to interfere ? !
Average price of kit msrp?

@@gair-planesllc6254 that is a steal. I don’t fly with a license… so this one may be a bit too big 😋

Looks like a kitfox to me.
