Agreeed my 4c had frustrated me coz it gets all kinky after wash and I end up relaxing it but now I have spent the year getting my hair trimmed off my hair stylist said to cut it off in stages lol
1. Fenugreek seeds- soak in water for 24-36hs and use in spray bottle to hydrate hair daily 2. Don't comb kinks, put in protective styling (that lasts 4-6 weeks). I.e. cornrows, crochet, braids. At most, use wide tooth comb 3. Use natural products 4. Scalp massage with olive, avocado and coconut oil for penetration. Jojoba and grapseed oil for slip and shine 5. Conditioner with slip like sauve coconut 6. Have a wash routine. Don't brush when really wet or really dry. Use blow-dry tension method or threading 7. Detangle hair before seeing any stylist, or do ur own hair 8. Moringa powder in smoothies and teas 9. Leave your hair alone 10. Go natural

Girl, that breaks my heart that your stylist isn't interested in the health of your hair. Fire them!!!!!!!!!! A great hairdresser teaches you how to properly care for your hair by doing just that. I'm so happy you mentioned the growth plateau because I'm experiencing that right now and it's been confusing me so I'm happy to hear that it is a thing that other people go through
For the first time ever in my life, and I am 62, I got crochet braids. I took them out myself and did not know that there were some braids, of my own hair that I did not take down. Great advice! I totally agree with using natural hair products made by small businesses on Etsy. I have an Etsy store & I also customize natural healing-care products for my customers using only the best organic, hand, picked ingredients. I also make everything to order, so it's fresh & better quality than the products sitting on the shelves at the store & in warehouses for months or sometimes years before it reaches the consumer. I'm on my natural hair journey & I'm starting a new UA-cam channel sharing some of the tips that have worked for my super curly hair, starting with healing from the inside out. Your channel has inspired me! Keep up the great work! You're beautiful!!
I really love your sense of humor, I like the fact that you are real, I laughed so hard when you said "my hair grows and yours don't" lol and then said you are probably not going to come back but pls do"🤣. You are funny girl, love from Nigeria
Hello Eugenia, I love watching your videos. They are very informational and extremely helpful. Since watching your videos, I've started using the Aloe Vera Juice, MSM, and Fenugreek mixture and my hair has so totalky grown! I'm like wow. I've never had long hair before but like you said about these all natural products: they work! My length before using was probably to the nape of my head, but now a little past my shoulders! It only been about a month if using it, that's what is amazing to me! Thank you for sharing all if your contents. It's truly been a blessing to me!!!
You're so right about not detangling on wet hair, esp if you have fine hair like me. Even though our hair is stronger than straight hair and can be combed wet without being ripped to shreds doesn't mean it's still not in a very weak state. It's best to detangling on DAMP/slightly wet hair period. Your hair isnt constantly shrinking up on it's self either like it does when wet=more progress. I learned that the hard way when I used a tangle teezer in shower😭
I thought i was the only one who questions hairstylists’ method of combing hair!!!! Unbelievable, heartless, careless! How can they advice me after that?!?!
I do 2 months as well, and I’ve been keeping up with the 2 months wash period for 3 and a half years now; my hair surpasses mid back. It’s a great way to grow kinky/curly hair, but in between time it is absolutely essential to oil/moisturize your hair(every 2-3 days). Great tips btw!!!!!
I love this. Thank you for the best advice and different advice from the basic stuff everyone keeps giving. I’m 4c and I’ve plateaued. So I’m definitely going to try all of this.! 🙌🏽 new subbie.!
OMG I'm so glad you said that about the stylist. I've seen that quite a few times where a stylist has yanked my head or has taken a small Barbie comb like you said LOL. Some of them can be so rough and not care about ripping the ends are strands of your hair.
Love this video. Lol I so agree with the detangling before going to a hair dresser. I haven't found one yet that takes the time to detangle my hair with out ripping it out!!!!
Charlene .W. I did January 2018... and wore a wig until I could get braids. It’ll be 2 years in a couple weeks. It was a slowwww process but I’m starting to be happy now. Lol
so glad i found your channel and im so excited to try some of your tips for my 4c hair!! i've been natural since 2015 and my hair is struggling, it fell out after i miscarried a year and a half ago , it was growing okay before that , but i noticed when i got pregnant my hair really jumped and then after it fell out and hasn't been the same since then. can't wait to try some of this stuff out!!
Good tips! Getting rid of detangling tools helped my hair out a lot this year. Lol I was dying when you said "Cry, it helps." 😂😂 Also, you're beautiful ♥️
Great tips! I never thought of getting hair products from etsy! Just subscribe! I'm Hispanic with curly hair and my husband is African with tight curly hair. I love to watch these videos because my son and future children I know will have kinky curly hair and I want to keep it natural and healthy!really great info!
You're so cute and helpful! Just want to say that in high school I texturized my hair and grew it long and yes, it's practically the same as with natural hair when it comes to sealing and moisturizing, protective styling, all of those are still important for retaining any length whatsoever!
I just subscribed to your channel and am going to start my natural hair journey now. I always say natural hair is painful to comb but have changed my mind and starting now in 2020. Thank you dear. Much love
UA-cam recommendations brings me and Lord have mercy you're an adorable girl, breathtaking actually with a lovely heart. Blessings to you and your family 🕊️
"At least I got long hair and you dont." 🤣🤣🤣You are so so right. Leave your hair alone, and yeah, your hair may look hella raggedy under your wig, but youre growing it!!! Your advice is spot on!!
So true what you said abt these hair stylists rushing and breaking your hair. It’s ridiculous how much hair I’ve lost going to a professional. The last time i went i detangled and moisturized my hair prior and it made a HUGE difference now i only go for trims and i blow dry my hair b4 i go
You are doing a great job taking care of your hair! I would also suggest taking collegen everyday. I put collegen power in my coffee and it has made my hair stronger and that also means less change of breakage.
Such lovely hair! I wish I’d known of you when I was natural. I might have had the extra encouragement to stay with my 4C hair as it was. I’m still grateful for the tips and techniques I learnt while natural, though (unfortunately, learning and implementing them still only got my hair to just about collarbone length in 5.5 years).
I cut my hair two weeks ago and it's already growing back super fast. My hair grows back fast anyways. I already had that kinky hair, even with I had process and relaxed my hair, I still had that nice curl pattern. I wanted to try something different and here it is, chopped off. I use aloe vera, honey, Jamaican Castor Oil, and olive oil. I had to experiment with different hair products. What works for you doesn't mean it going to work for everyone else. And I make sure to massage my hair every night also, it helps stimulate hair growth also.
Thanks for the tips! I have the same problem, I hit a plateau with my hair growth years ago and even though I've been natural for almost 11 years, my hair hasn't grown past my shoulders! I know it's growing but it keeps breaking off and no matter what I try, I still get a lot of breakage 😭. I'll try some of these tips, particularly the natural hair products but mostly importantly I'm gonna ramp up my protective styling! 🤞 I'll see more growth in the next year.
Thanks for sharing your journey and routine beautiful I love seeing how other naturals grow and maintain healthy natural hair. Looking forward to more videos. :)
Daniyella Harmon Same. I don’t care if it’s waist length(which is the holy grail length amongst black people), if I have to keep it under a wig for a lifetime for it to grow and stay long, then I don’t want it.
@@generalidakatana2561 You dont have to wear a wig am going to butt length just leave your hair alone. I do braids with own hair and twists i hate wigs
@@butterfly9274 Look up what Relaxers does to black women bodies/ internal system, maybe that's the reason they would rather wear a wig than relax their hair. There are wigs that looks similar to African American hair or maybe they want to play with color.

“When they start yanking your hair cry!!” I love it loll
I don't like videos where people chat for long, but this one is worth it. Thanks for the info.
I really love your sense of humor, I like the fact that you are real, I laughed so hard when you said "my hair grows and yours don't" lol and then said you are probably not going to come back but pls do"🤣. You are funny girl, love from Nigeria
Girl I am more than motivated to try out your tips. You are gorgeous by the way❤
Low manipulation styles are just as good as protective styles (if not better) in myyy opinion
Elvonne's Essentials low manipulation styles is a form of protective styling.
Truuuuu (in my 2Chainz voice) 🤣
Well how long is your hair is it as long as hers? No hate just a question
Gerda pierre No, I cut my hair off for the 2nd time in March 2018 but you can see the length in my “watch me stretch my wash n go” video
FACTSSS
Hello Eugenia,
I love watching your videos.
Finally someone that gives timelines with their routines.
Gosh I love your personality. I'm really feeling this girl. Keep up the good work hun
who's daughter is this. she's cute as a button.
hoekage ...Aint she adorable!👍🏾
Hi I like your hair
How do you do it
Literally haha❤️
You are gorgeous girl & with a beautiful personality. Your skin is flawless. I love my people 💕
Soooo much truth in this video. Cant wait for your next one, Queen!
Your young but you broke it all dowwwn girl! The best realistic tips Ive heard dear thank youuuu will defo follow your advice.
0:11 You look absolutely gorgeous in that oufit. Everything is literally beautiful about you. Your hair and your skin are so flawless
Great tips btw!!!!!
for years I would do SIX months hahaha I called it the leave it the f alone method. hahahaha
Love
Lowkey feel like shaving my head and starting fresh 😕
Charlene .W. Yeah you should do it ! I have done it recently - no regrets!
Charlene .W. I did January 2018... and wore a wig until I could get braids. It’ll be 2 years in a couple weeks. It was a slowwww process but I’m starting to be happy now. Lol
use peppermint oil, the circulation to your hair follicles will increase thus increasing hair growth.
Girl I shaved my head in 2017... greatest decision of my life
Oo oh I've had these thoughts before too 😂
Just subscribe. You are telling me more info that anybody on here. Keep up the amazing work👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️
so glad i found your channel and im so excited to try some of your tips for my 4c hair!! i've been natural since 2015 and my hair is struggling, it fell out after i miscarried a year and a half ago , it was growing okay before that , but i noticed when i got pregnant my hair really jumped and then after it fell out and hasn't been the same since then. can't wait to try some of this stuff out!!
I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage last week Thursday and pain of it none can fathom. May God heal you and restore you even the hair
Great job w/ explaining your hair tips! I definitely wrote down the info. Thank you for your insight!
I’m such a fan!! You’re soooo beautiful, I am definitely going to commit to your routine for a while
I do not like hairstylists! They don’t care if they break your hair. My hair has went through so much 😭. You’re inspiring me. Thank you
I don't understand how I never ran Into you before! OMG! I love you😍😍😍! You are everything! New subbie😘
Glad i came across your channel! Love how transparent you were, you just earned a subs🥰
You're so cute and helpful! Just want to say that in high school I texturized my hair and grew it long and yes, it's practically the same as with natural hair when it comes to sealing and moisturizing, protective styling, all of those are still important for retaining any length whatsoever!
sorry for the late reply but does texturizing your hair make it curlier
That hair color is so pretty on you!
thank you :)
"Sir, ma'am, sir, stop" lmao I love you
I’m a new watcher. I love your Chanel and I’m learning a lot and look forward to applying you experience and wisdom. God bless you.
Thank you for being real and not just doing it for views
So true what you said abt these hair stylists rushing and breaking your hair. It’s ridiculous how much hair I’ve lost going to a professional. The last time i went i detangled and moisturized my hair prior and it made a HUGE difference now i only go for trims and i blow dry my hair b4 i go
*You are so freaking pretty. Your red undertone skin & that Rapunzel hair 🤯 Beautiful* ✨🧜🏿♀️❤️
You just gained a new subscriber. Very formative video. I thank you.
The way I’ve been natural all my life and I’m still at shoulder lengthhhhh😭😭
Sambiro Kitawi at least u got that! I’m here still looking bald😂😂😂
Same here😢😢😭😭
Same
I cut my hair two weeks ago and it's already growing back super fast.
When do you let your hair out? And for how long? I would hate to do all this work and not even show it off a little lol
Tis witchcraft is holy grail length? I never really cared for it to be that long. I would be trying to cut it off honestly
Daniyella Harmon yeah! Don’t understand why us black women hate relaxed hair but love wigs😏
@@butterfly9274 Look up what Relaxers does to black women bodies/ internal system, maybe that's the reason they would rather wear a wig than relax their hair. There are wigs that looks similar to African American hair or maybe they want to play with color.
Your sooo funny and sweet the ending had me in stitches 😂 New subbie right here doll 👍
Am amazed. This is how you guys hair is supposed to look. It’s pretty and beautiful. !
I love you, I’ve been looking for content like this for 5 years. I wish I found you sooner😭
When she said “Anything that does not last your hair for 4-6 weeks is not protective style”
Sis I have really sensitive scalp that gets dirty really quick and like clock work starts itching me every week. So I’ll wash my hair before my scalp bleeds from me starching it’s trying to make it last for 4 weeks.
Fit Sue same it sucks 😩
Black jamaican castor oil is needed
Girl yes to you!!!! Finally someone who’s actually 4C talking facts and with results to show. You are heaven sent! One question: where do you buy your Moringa powder?
i get them on etsy
Thanks for the video. There are people who have relaxed hair and still grow their hair beautiful and strong. Everyone's hair is different.
Wow!! your hair is so so long and healthy
I have 4c hair.. right now I am trying to start my hair Journey
I with keep following you until my hair growth
Thanks so much for the video
The most growth I ever got out of my hair is when i put it in a protective style and left it for 2 months... amazing tips
Girl I think you just saved my hair’s life
Your literally so pretty omg ✨
This video was very much needed for me because every since I did the big chop it’s taking my hair a while to grew 😭😭😭. & seeing this video I took notes and I will be trying all the tips, methods & products you recommended. Thank you Kel 💕😘
You're so welcome!
