Hey man! When I described Brown as overrated I meant in the sense of his fantasy outlook, not really just as a player. I think he’s pretty solid.

Brown is overrated? Brown is averaging 6.35 YPC while Moss is averaging 3.90 YPC on the season. Brown is clearly the more explosive and dynamic RB the Bengals have. Maybe that’s why they finally gave Brown more carries since they were 0-3 heading into Carolina and Brown gives them a better chance at winning

Chase Brown sees the 4th softest defensive boxes per play, meaning he sees extremely soft defenses more often than most RBs. Moss sees the 19th softest defensive boxes, meaning he's always getting an extra man or 2 per down.
Chase goes 3.6 yards before contact, Moss goes 2.6 yards before contact because of the softness they both face. YPC means little to nothing when you look at quantitative metrics.
Chase is overrated. Moss was a better prospect coming out of college. Moss was paid 4million to be a backup because the Bengals front office and coaching staff are horrible at talent management. If the hype for Brown was real, then why didn't he beat out Mixon last year for at least 40% of the work? Because he's not what you want him to be

@@AWitlessIdiot YPC means little to nothing?? Yea I'm sure all the analysts on NFL network would agree with you. Chase Brown was leading the league going into week 5 in YPC, was 2nd in the league in rushing success rate 65.5% and is EPA per rush was +0.25. But yea Chase is not who I want him to be lol.
Chase goes for 2.4 yards after contact while Moss goes for 1.2 yards after contact. Chase was a 5th round rookie last year, of course he's not going to beat out the incumbent 1st round pick Mixon. Why didn't Moss beat out Singletary in Buffalo for the starting job all those years? Sounds like you drafted the wrong Bengal's running back in your draft.

@Nuckflip sure..... but the bengals talent management seem to be a problem regardless.... since I posted my comment and the bungals started using chase as a lead 1st/2nd down back, how good has chase looked? Looks like donkey to me

Moss had a rough week, but still had six carries and the snaps were basically 50/50. The point of the video was to explain that Brown’s fantasy value had a ceiling directly tied to Moss’ involvement in the offense. This video also explained that I think Brown is a good running back, but I think some of the hype around him was a little unwarranted due to offensive tendencies. That combination of factors allowed me to come to the conclusion that Brown isn’t overrated as a player, but as a fantasy asset. 👍
