Hi Ana, my 40s, like yours were filled with some very big problems and challenges. Looking for a bit of gratitude for the good things in my life really helped me to cope with the remorse and sadness I felt for the things I had lost. Yoga has been a sustaining tool that helps with my physical health and my mental well being. I will always feel remorse, sadness, and some anger when I experience unwanted change, but I've found that the simplest things - a bike ride, watching birds gather at the feeder in my back yard, or a phone call to a friend can lift my spirits for a little while. You and Brian have had to face, and continue to face, towering obstacles, road blocks, and quandary. I do hope you can find safe harbor.

You are wise beyond your years. Dear Ana, I don't always get to listen to you the day you put out your videos, but I seek them out. I am close to the end of the road with an issue that has been going on for almost 4 years now. I don't know what the outcome will be. But I know, whatever it is, it will be alright. Everything always works out in the end.

I love what you said about gentle challenges, and I agree. I think it’s good to not let anxiety, fear, and hyper-sensitivity rule your life…tempting as it may be. Otherwise, next thing you know it becomes too much to even leave the house.
Finding balance is key. That, and learning to trust yourself.
It pains me to look back in my 20s and some of my 30s, and see how I disrespected myself, both in what I put in my body, and the relationships I was in. Now as I work to repair all of that, I’ve never felt better. Change is scary, but it also opens the doors to new experiences. I’m excited to see what’s next in your adventure! I admire your courage, creativity, and ability to remain authentically present and connected throughout the experience.

I had to make big scary changes when I was younger, because the prospect of continuing to live the same way for good was scarier. Changes that are not chosen are much harder to deal with but I found that every time it gave me either new opportunities in ways I was unable to have or even imagine before or led me to personal growth. And it never ends. Life is a series of big adventures and I try to remember to embrace that, especially if going through difficult and scary times.

I like what you said about intentional decluttering. I'm in a place now where I have been living in my current home for a year, and there has started to get some clutter in those corners where it's easy to ignore it, or clothes I bought that don't look right on me, or the garage. So I'm trying to pay attention to those places and clean up and declutter so that the house gets back to the way I like it.

I've seen the two inspiring quotes before, but it's been so long they weren't front of mind, so thank you for bringing them back into view. Whatever changes are coming, at least you will be weathering them together. I'm very glad you're able to maintain contact with your family. Stay safe. Namaste'. 💖💖💖

Thank you dear Ana for another thoughtful vlog. As I've grown older I find that during challenging times, I get more done and am able to focus more by stripping everything down to the basics. I see you are doing this too so bravo. It seems so many suffer from anxiety these days. Recently I've read that Neurofeedback can help with this. You might like to check it out. I'm hoping to check it out myself but it will be awhile yet before I do.

Ana, the idea of this video, to accept and prepare for new seasons in our lives, perhaps try new strategies, is quite forward looking and positive. I think you forties will be good years, Ana.
With a gentle smile, great intelligence and an open heart, you have encouraged others to be well, creative, and resilient all the way from your Siberian home and them though the stresses of cross-border moves, needing to generate income to pay bills, and leaving family, possibly permanently. I think you’ll continue to connect with family as best you can, will continue to make a good life with your husband, and you’ll increase your earnings over time, by following your own advice :-)

Thank you Ana for your wonderful videos. I can relate to so much of what you say in your videos. I am also an introvert and creative - drawing and photography being my main artistic expressions. I am also quite sensitive and I have been through several periods of depression in my life. I am in my late 40’s and I just discovered a year ago that I am autistic. I do also have some traits indicating adhd, especially procrastination or executive-disfunction. Autism and adhd are often connected. I now think my depression is best explained as autistic burnout after periods of stressful changes and from constant masking or hiding my autism. I am what used to be called high-functioning autistic or Asperger syndrome- but high-functioning comes at a cost because when you hide your autistic traits and discomfort in various circumstances eventually you suffer burnout/depression. If you suspect you may have adhd I recommend you also look into autism - there are some quite good online tests for autism spectrum quotient (AQ) that may be helpful. Knowing now I am neurodivergent has been a tremendous help understanding my strengths and challenges and with that knowledge I feel better equipped to maintain my mental wellbeing.

As you say Ana, change is always happening. Change brings both challenges and opportunities - change fosters resilience and creativity - change allows us to see how we have grown as well as how strong and resourceful we are. When we allow ourselves to be centered in our inner wisdom, trust our intuition, know that the loving and supportive Universe wants us to have the most loving and joyous life we can imagine, and access our natural balance and flexibility, we can move with more confidence and more excitement that if we get lost in fear or anxiety. In watching your channel, for some time now, I have seen how much you have grown and how much you have allowed yourself to find the flow that moves through life, and use it to take you places you may not have thought you were capable of going. All the best to you and Brian as you continue your inner and outer journeys. Peace & Blessings.

This is the first video I've ever been recommended by you, so I am new to your channel. and I'm sorry to make it about this because I know it's not at all what the video is about, but seconds in and I am questioning. You are in your 40s? That is amazing, I am a 25 year old woman and I feel as though you look as young, or even younger, than me. I am really curious to know what your lifestyle is like, such as diet, exercise, sun exposure, and other things you might do or not do (for example, drink/not drink, saunas, cold exposure? which can mean like wim hof style or living in a very cold environment in general). I know stress also plays a big part in aging.
I would be really grateful to know more about how you can achieve such a youthful and healthy look, I'll look around your channel now for more answers and also to listen to your life advice.

Ciao Ana, I found your video during a moment of my life in which a lot is gonna change. I use mindfulness meditation to not fall into overwhelming emotions but my best "skill" (that comes from not so good things about the past) is to disconnect from my emotion. With this method I do not feel overwhelmed by the anxiety or the fear of failure, but I also deprive myself of the good emotions too (excitement, curiosity, joy...). I know that this mechanism, even if useful, is a bad thing for my personal growth, so I'm experimenting other kind of things to ground myself in the right place while the change happens. Your words are like hugs in a world where everyone's best suggestion is "get over it, all of us pass through changes and nobody died for this, it's not a tragedy!". Thank you 🌻
