As mentioned in the video, windows versions that are NOT Windows 11 or a Windows 10 version that is 2004 or ABOVE will NOT be able to do this. The Measuresleep program will just give you the 15.6250 ms resolution every time regardless of what you run for Timer resolution or for the benchmark. Switch to Windows 11 and apply the registry fix if you want to continue with this video or go to a Windows 10 version that is OLDER THAN 2004.

imagine not using win11, considering that win10 will soon no longer be supported by Microsoft and its also has less options and potential for perfomance tweaks.

Did anyone else get an issue where the deltams is as high as 14.000 I still set it to the lowest on the graph though? I wasn’t getting delta Ms as low as 0.05

I set .5680, and when I open MeasureSleep it still says .5000 it doesn't change.

does this work on Windows 11 home because when I click A after pasting in Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted" I don't get the same thing you do. Also when I tried to do the micro adjust benchmark I couldn't do it because it was blocked or something

Im showing it default from optimized value from graph to .50 res shortly after startup while running measure sleep. Any idea why this is?

Just a note - if you've previously used another timer resolution utility and have entered BCDEdit commands in the command prompt, this will not work! Those settings will keep this method from working properly.
You will have to go back to the command prompt and re-enter the BCDEdit commands with the opposite values to "reset" your system back to the way it was. THEN you can use this method, and it will work!
Yo so how do i revert it back? Cant find anything about it. I used the normal Timer Resolution program.

my current resolution is 0.499 and on my pc that is better then 0.5 ive tried both and 0.499 makes everything feel faster and less delayed but everyone says 0.5 is better
Every pc is different, 0.5 is just a measurement for you too start testing.
If that specific number works for you, keep it.

@@erraticfn yeah i figured it out, basically you have to try and switch USB ports for your devices until it doesnt happen anymore, try switching locations / back/front etc, make sure you try all combinations but after you change the USB port for a device you have to reboot the pc and no, not reboot, but shutdown and then start it back up, dont touch it for like 5 mins and then try see if the sleep spikes to .5 if it does, then swap the usb ports for each device again, until you shuffle to a proper setup that windows can deal with.
If all fails, try resetting CMOS battery and then try reshuffling the usb ports your devices are connected to, sometimes even re-seating the GPU, booting with no gpu, then re-seating it back on will help windows assign different IRQs for the devices.

Can you detail or give the path that your script is editing in the registry, in case I want to delete it or undo it? I know doing a restore point would also suffice, I just would like to better understand what a thing I'm clicking on is changing in the OS registry.
U can just open the reg file with notepad and see what it is changing 🤣

Edit: Hello Xilly thanks for the guide, very thorough. It does work and helped, however « measuresleep.exe » and « settimerresolution.exe » are both corrupt with potential threats according to virus total.. i will use latest version of ISLC which allow now for 4 digit timer res and changes the same reg edit also

Your CPU is unstable or RAM, or its overheating, this is an issue you have to look into rather than following this video in my opinion
@@Xilly yeah i think it did that cuz it kept asking for permission to open the file during the test so once i just gave it permission to open it everytime it didnt crash or nothing and the test worked and my pc has good specs and was a prebuilt that i got 5 months ago so yeah just in mind if anyone had the same problem as me

IF YOU'RE PLAYING COD OR VALORANT DO NOT DO THIS.
It will fuck up your timer and delta values and starts jumping around back and forth unless you stabilize it with only .5000 and not .5070-.5060 etc.
I still think it is a useless feature if it means that the game will just force other timings.
Disable it immediately if the game just forces itself. It's a desync function at that point.

You have a ton of questions so no worries if you don't get to mine, but I read the other questions and don't see mine yet... Once you do all of the steps, stress test, graph, etc. does it matter how you go about setting the TR? Like for example, I use Project Lasso and it boots on startup and it let's you set your TR... would it matter if I set my TR there instead of using the startup .exe file you suggested?

em 0.5040 o delta time fica valores altos de 0.5 a 0.52, em 0.5060 pega valores de 0.007 a 0.0140 mas com variações para 0.5ms e em 0.5080 o delta recebe valores de 0.0140ms a 0.03ms com mais raras variações para 0.5ms que o valor de 0.5060. estou testando diferentes valores e o valor que se manteve com uma variação de delta de 0.02 a 0.04 com muito rara ocasião de 0.4ms foi de 0.52ms

always make sure the content creator is legit and has a discord or something to communicate. a lot of scammers just buy views and subscribers to make you think that they’re legit but I vouch for Xilly he knows his shit and the ppl who hate just dont do his tweaks right or have outdated hardware that need different tweaks. don’t be a noob, learn from your mistakes and get more knowledgeable on your pc

Hello, i don't know why it's working on somes games but not others
As example : it work on overwatch but that don't work on Call of duty, it's like call of duty forced the computer at 0.5 you cannot use it at 0.52

@@iinnk2992 theres nothing you can do for a game that wants to use its own timer. regardless of whether HPET is on or off, the cod will set itself to 0.50

In the measuresleep it still is displaying resolution .5000 even though i changed the value in the shortcut, am I missing something?
Don't run time resolution app as admin if you use any rgb software like openrgb or so , will limit TR from applying whatever ms you write in also TR will be set to 5000ms when playing WZ 😉 as form me personally can't see any diff.
I get 0.4-0.5ms "hickups" every 3-5 benchmark string, with every "best" timer for my pc (tried almost every reso from 0.5 to 0.7) I also running games in 1440p with smooth 220+avg fps on ultra/high settings so.. idk why do i even care.
What about for the latest Win10 above version 2004?
It'll only work on Windows 10 Versions that are below 2004 or you can just upgrade to windows 11 if you can.

Yeah there are multiple tests done by the likes of Savitarax, Khorvie Tech, etc. I used to think all of these tweaks are not useful at all but I've noticed a very nice difference on input lag with the tweaks applied.
That being said you should always have registry backups and system restore points in case anything goes wrong.
