@@thelegendtl It was just there for show. If anything, it was most likely reused footage from the 2000 spaceworld tech demo that we never saw, since the e3 trailer used some footage from it
I hate that theory of "depressed/zombie Luigi". It's obviously just some pre-rendered FMV they used now and then. There is 0 proof that it's the game over screen. A death has already been shown in beta gameplay and it's the same as the final.
8:06 In my opinion, this was actually the early demo version of Luigi's Mansion, where Game Boy Horror had a clock, instead of HUD counter. And the pre-release Electronic Expo 2001 build of the game does not have to be the full game, because after the clock's reached 1:30 AM on E3 2001 Nintendo Booth version, you'll be sent to the title screen by E. Gadd.
Thank you sooo much we finally got inside the demo beta gamecube booth!! Crazy how we didnt get alot of those games!! I would pay thousands to hear atories of development and ideas for the gamecube hardware software and all its early games it is my lifes quest to own everything and know everyrhing there is to know about the gamecube
Man, those early E3 booths were so nice! It feels as if the more we go the less we get... And im not talking about cancelation cause of the current ciscumstances.... They just dont do them like they used to.... Now that Nintendo pre record their stuff and that playstation arent showing up anymore.... :(
@@justingaming8301 It seems you have misunderstood my comment. I was referring to 8:27 being the end of the beta game, so the beta game ends at 8:27, as to why I said 'beta game over'.
Love watching these videos

There it reached 1:30, that "beta game over" with zombie luigi never actually was a game over.
It was shown in Spaceworld 2000, E3 2001 trailer, and Koisk October 2001 International trailer
It’s not zombie Luigi it’s depressed luigi
It is a game over for the beta version it is

Seeing Donkey Kong Racing right there makes me really sad...
3:21 Suicune’sattack animation has no swirling cold wind in the early build.

Pam G a lot of them were Rare projects, they got bought by Microsoft in 2002 and cancelled the GCN games they were working on
God who knows what Donkey Kong Racing could’ve been like
Wow. It's a "never before seen" kinda thing for me.
3:41 "Aw, fuck!"
That scrub playing as Captain Falcon needs to git gud.
That was Donkey Kong racing an unreleased game Diddy Kong Racing was for the N64
Always thought the fuchsia gba was red when it first came out, then my parents had to tell me it was pink. Damn color blindness.

wait, no Metroid Fusion?
Seriously, what did E. Gadd's text boxes say when the timer ran out in the Luigi's Mansion demo!? I couldn't read them at all!
Sorry. Video quality wasn't great 17 years ago.
Brad Lynch I really wish someone could clean the video to make it readablr
Damn dude cant believe this was seven years ago
Your math might be a little off.
@@MarinoV1 I'm...I'm not ready for what the correct math would tell me.
Donkey Kong racing too bad that game never got to see the light of day
