- Rodrigo’s spectacular late leveller ensured City shared the spoils with Chelsea in what was a pulsating and eventful Premier League clash at the Etihad.
Former City man Raheem Sterling had earlier seen a 42nd minute goal fire Chelsea into the lead and with City spurning a host of chances it looked as if that might prove decisive.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side again showed we can marry character with class as Rodrigo rifled home that deserved leveller seven minutes from time.
City poured forward in search of a late winner and also saw an injury time VAR check for a possible penalty turned down as our 11 match run of consecutive wins was finally checked.

Chelsea is an unusual team. Draw against City twice, draw vs Arsenal and yet they lose to small teams in poor fashion. Chelsea has potential but lack playmaking. If they can develop a decent defence and midfield surely, it will be lethal if underestimated. Probably next year they might have a good chance to redeem.

that is no excuse when opportunity is as clear as an open door then your responsibility as a gunman is to capitalise even the most obvious of chances, let's be honest, not being able to come out with even one is worrisome even with talent of his calibre, it is not anyone's fault when the questions start arising "was he a one season wonder?", Yes we're not crucifying him but if a player starts going into a match and he gets the ball and fans have the anticipation he will miss then surely something is off, because it ensues there are a lot more problems than there are solutions towards the player, and if your performance is not up to par with previous "glorified attempts" then we can only assume to fix "replace" or get frustrated even more since solutions are not coming up. I appreciate his contributions with everton but questions will arise regardless of your previous contributions if the current ones don't match

The problem is he's just too rushed and put too much pressure on his shoulders. Last season was more relaxed, even the Yoga celebration is no more this season, but i trust him he will find his balance.

Pep must sought out his defenders. Walker proves that you need more than pace to defend, you need football intelligence. He is easily caught off position, and with his pace he doesn't track back intelligently.

Haaland is not good at headers. Chelsea knew that and didn't allow City to play centrally and pushed them out wide.
But even then, the miss in the 2nd half was unforgivable.

Kyle walker is really poor, the guy concedes from the same spot over and over again. He defends deep and costs city allot of goals. City has a reactive defending structure and a profound lack of proactive defenders. Haland lacks creativity with the ball, he prefers to shine on rebounds and tap-ins. Kyle is the weakest link. City beat lots of average teams and surprisingly get lots of praise from the tabloids, they really can't do nothing on formidable teams. City get rid of all your average defenders. Haland too wasteful. Haland is good but make no mistake, he ain't world Class period.

First of all We need a proper replacement in RW/RM position like mahrez who can dribble pass and scores and foden as a CAM along with kdb because we only tries to attack in left side doku miss a lot and lot ball possession and he is still young he has to adopt PL environment and today if jack was in doku position who doesn't lose the ball unfortunately he was not available lets see what will happen😁😁

Rodri is a fighter.but most of our strikers really they dont have that technical skill look at what foden does he is so skilled he is a star.but we have strikers who miss 20 chances and score 1 goal.

City problem is not Haaland not scoring, but defence that is in shambles. All four defenders level dropped this season remarkably. Dias can't run and he is always the first person to stay high up the pitch. Walker can run but can't close down his opponent intelligently. Akanji always too slow to react to counter attack. Get Kovacic into the team more often to cut off the chaos that go on there by removing Alvarez. Keep Bernardo or Foden on the left. Replace Akanji with stones. We need a top right back, walker is clearly at the end of his career. He looses focus of what is around him easily.
They should stop overlapping, and that might solve the problem. Let the defense be in their positions and stop crossing into the opponent's half

Rodri was clutch as usual, but that performance was concerning. Ederson was brilliant, saved us from what could've been much more
not shown on this highlight was the Chelsea handball at the end (not to mention a shoulder and a shirt pull), no idea how that was NOT a penalty, but of course opposition fans will still cry that "City gets all of the dodge pens". nonetheless, we shouldn't depend on a last minute penalty to win in the first place.
hopefully the team and Pep get their act together in the next matches, hopefully putting Foden back in the midfield and quitting the Alvarez experiment, perhaps benching Walker as well as he hasn't been doing great. i expected more from Doku, i still enjoy him more than Grealish but hopefully he improves with time.

I know this is all cope talk but you are not seriously arguing that should have been a pen. The pull shirt happens all the time, if that should've been a penalty we would have 3 each game. Then the ball hits the ManCity players, and hits the guy's hand which was right next to his body. The chelsea guy couldn't ever predict that was going to happen, nor did he act careless in the area.

This game really is about the personal, Gundo would have played in Akanji place today, and he has the abilty to break through pressing lines. Foden would have been playing the 10 role instead of Alvarez as foden has much comfort in tight spaces turning past defenders, and Mahrez would have been on the RW, rmb last season, it was Mahrez that tore chilwell apart scoring against chelsea, and assisting as well. I think this season is still transitioning for Pep and he needs a wirtz or kimmich type player to be a double pivot with rodri.
