The better part of me insists that we don't turn away sick people, even the misguided ones, some of whom are misguided due to mental illness and other factors outside of their control. I kinda hate saying that. I know of some extremely fragile chemo patients who shouldn't even be in the same hospital unit as them, but I still can't find it in me to say we should let them go untreated. That said, I'm sure there must be a way of prioritizing patients based on what matters most: their insurance coverage.
@@milhouse14 Yes, I know. I don't blame the sick as much as I blame the Supreme Court right now. I think they made a horrible decision about businesses not being able to mandate vaccines for their workers to create safe places for us to work. Less people would be getting sick if working places could keep their properties protected from serious covid cases, but they can't. Now our hospitals will be overrun, and our supply chain issues with empty store shelves will remain as a result. We can't let this turn us into monsters.
