His story breaks MY heart too. In contrast to Arizona, I live less than an hour outside of New York City. For the last 2 years, I've been looking for people to spring clean my yard, pickup the leaves in the fall and cut the lawn as I am unable to do it due to severe back and muscle issues. Last year, I called like 15 companies and only ONE returned my call and wanted to overcharge me. Finally, though someone I know, I had a guy do the lawn for the summer but he didn't do the leaves in the fall (which are STILL there) and he keeps promising to show to cut the lawn but its up to your knees in spots now. I literally cannot find anyone to work for me!
Then I hear stories like THIS man who wants to work but cannot find any. It HAS to be the area I live in that everyone seems so prosperous. Hell, I even wanted to give the free turkey I earned in the supermarket at Thanksgiving to my local food bank and was turned down saying they had enough and to maybe try again at Christmas! Unreal!
