C17 974 - SDSR Trip to Wallangarra - Saturday 6th August 2016

On Saturday 6th August 2016, SDSR ran one of there monthly steam trips down the Southern Line to the border station of Wallangarra. The motive power for the day was C17 974, hired from QR Heritage for 6 months while repair work is completed on 971.

good to see that C17 812 will steam again at SDSR .maybe a number of QLD heritage railway could possible fund the restoration of C17 1000

good to see 974 back at warwick hopfully it stays up there alot longer then 6 months say for example 6 years .maybe two BROWN BOMBERS TO WALLANGARRA and back would be to see to .

Yes that is correct. Not sure if it will be used for tours but it will be restored for the owner.
