What an awesome comparison you gave us. Very professional and high quality video review. And if definitely help to put on my buds on. I would have to say I prefer the sound of the Buds pro. Not to say the Buds 2 pro aren't good. But I prefer the warmer sound of the Buds pro. And also the mic test with the background noise I heard you way better with the Bud pros. I was going to buy the Buds 2 pro but I think I'll stick with the Buds pro. Unless something goes wrong with them then I'll upgrade to the Buds 2 pro.
I have the older buds pro, in my opinion they have a wider sound stage than the new buds 2 pro due to its physically larger drivers. I believe the buds 2 pro will improve with updates. Also the takeaway of the adjustment levels in the ANC section is a drawback, I don't know why Samsung stripping away features which can be supported by all Samsung buds. As always great review! Please could you review the B&O beoplay eq? 🙌
@Sterben to call it misinformation is very ignorant... if you believe the buds 2 pro have a wider sound stage that's your opinion. But I got ears and I know what I hear. Physically older buds pro have larger drivers so they can not be inferior in sound quality especially base range.
I own both, I did comparisons, the Pro1 sound brighter and the Pro2 sound Bassier, but not in a bad way, Bass is not just Bass, there is a wide range of frequencies on the low side, AKG brought the right bass frequencies to the Pro2, for me is not an Upgrade, both are 2 different amazing earbuds, I preffer the Buds 2 Pro because I love Bass and they deliver, but the Pro 1 for the low price is a steal.
Seriously. It seems like the buds pro are literally the definitive version of the buds. You can use bright on the EQ or EQ the same rise at 1.7khz. By default the design of the body of the buds pro is tuned perfectly
@@elmaster6207I hear the bassier sound curve but I also hear the lack of air which causes the buds 2 to sound like the bass is always muddying everything up which is why they added such a phonetic peak to the vocal range right at 1.7khz where it may make the phonetics sound clearer but that's also the same frequency as nails on a chalkboard so it kinda sounds way more shrill.
When Buds Pro was released they sound pretty basic but after a few firmware updates the sound become richer and much cleaner. I think it's too early to judge about Pro2 sound, we have to wait for updates and probably it's gonna have a perfect sound output, same with anc. Because right now with my Buds2 I barely hear the noises with anc on, meanwhile with Pro2 background noises keep bothering me coz I can her them clearly even with anc.
@@deinemuddaisdoof don't worry they're gonna get a first update in next 2 weeks, samsung should fix and boost anc plus optimize sound output. We will see 👀
I got the Pro 2 about a week ago and the first thing I noticed is how much more comfortable they are than the Buds Pro. The Buds Pro have a bigger bump on them so they can't quite seal the sound as much as the Pro 2. For me the Pro 2 sound a lot better just for that 1 reason. The bass is a lot punchier (which I really like since I'm a bass head), the mids and highs have got a slight improvement, but it's not as much as the lows which I really like.
@newfnshow031 no the buds pro r good asf I'd still be using them if they didn't go to shit the other day so I ordered the 2s and I don't think it's about affording it's more do I really want to spend 200$ on ear buds wen I already have one that work flawlessly
Buds 2 Pro have best sound to the majority. They follow the Harman curve a little closer than the the other Samsung buds and they have bigger drivers than the other buds
I've never had any of the previous Samsung earbuds so I can't compare to those. However, I just received my Buds 2 Pro along with the Z Fold 4 and I must say, these sound better than the Sony XM4 and Bose QuietComfort earbuds as well. So I've always been a Bose guy and only got rid of them because the controls suck and the app was not good at all. Sound was good though. I got the Sony XM4s last month and I thought the sound quality was comparable to Bose but the volume just wasn't as loud. However, the controls, customization and the app just made the listening experience so much better. My only knock with the XM4 is that it was not comfortable at all for me. No matter what size tips I used, it was difficult for the earbuds to go in my ear. And the biggest problem was that it would make my ears itch like crazy. It was so bad that I had to get the crystal tips that was recommended on this channel. Drastically reduced the itch but still the actual buds made my ears itch a little too. Couldn't keep them on for too long. However, with these Samsung earbuds, the sound quality is much better, fit is much better although I don't know if they are very secure yet. And the controls are basically similar to the XM4. The app is also pretty good even though I'd give a slight edge to the Sony app. Oh and these headphones are much louder than the XM4, and just as loud as the Bose Quiet Comforts but the sound doesn't get distorted like the Bose. I love these so far.
Well when crinacle , a UA-camr that only tests audio gear says the galaxy buds type earbuds are amongst the best ever , you know you've made a good decision . Cheers . Enjoy them
I'm considering to buy this as well. Might replace my XM4, I took them to the shop once already to replace the battery, my left side is like 100% to 20% in less than 1 hour and they only replace only 1 side of the earbuds as well because my right side is 2 hours and a half which noticeably degraded but they said it's not qualified as replaceable yet and now It's was already out of warranty. I'm gonna go to test Buds 2 Pro in shop for the Hi-Fi 24 bit to see if it can beat XM4's Hi-res.
@@kiryuukazuma04 Dang that sucks. I got my XM4 from best buy last month and purchased a best buy warranty. Today I returned them and got my money back no questions asked. I was able to notice a difference in sound quality between the two. One thing I will say is that the noise canceling on the XM4 is much better than the Buds 2 Pro. But you can be the judge. Hopefully it works out for you.
At a $100 Canadian price point for the Galaxy Buds 2, they have my vote. Happy I prefer their sound signature over the newer Pro iteration. Thanks for the fantastic critique as always lad.
This was a great review! very detailed and exactly what I was looking for! I don't think there is a big difference between to Buds Pro and Pro 2. Amazon currently has a Cyber Monday deal on the Buds Pro for a 100$ right now.
Very well done! I prefer both the Buds2 and Buds Pro. While the midrange might at first sound less enhanced than with the Buds2 Pro, I think the former 2 share a more natural sounding midrange that I prefer. The Buds 2 Pro do have better definition with the bass register. For the price differential I am very happy with the Buds 2, with the exception of call quality. I am one who uses ambient sound often and do prefer the ability to tailor the amount of passed through sound.
Thank you! Someone pointed out on another thread that you can still customize ambient sound through the app's accessibility settings. Just not as straightforward as the Buds Pro.
Wow. This really helps me make up my mind abt which tws to pick. I just started looking for a new pair and I guess I'll just go with Buds pro as they have a more balanced sound. They would probably be cheaper too at this point which is great!

I upgraded from my galaxy buds pros to the buds 2 pros and the sound was a bit of a shock at first. The sound profile is totally different, not in a good way, but not in a bad way either. Its just different, but I got used to it quick
The only noticeable difference in my opinion is the fit, because of the round shape will stay better in your ears. In terms of sound from your sample Galaxy Buds Pro sound better, Buds Pro 2 sounds similar to Buds 2.
No😱, I have the pro.. and the sound is a bit satured, not very clear, exactly what I heard on this video And this is the reason why I don't use it for listening to music... After seen this video I'm sure, I'll buy the pro 2 Just hear the sounds, are much clearer and separated....
@@juliuscaesar8801 they really do. Most professional sound engineers rave about them. I personally returned my sennheiser tw2's and kept the pros. The sound stage and the sound is great. They should of done nothing with the 2's except change the fit imo.
@@eduhenostroza Most people prefer a more v shaped sound with more bass and treble and I guess that is what you prefer as well. I prefer a more natural sound which I can adjust myself if need be. The buds 2 pro are more vocal as shown by the graph in the video. But the buds pro always sounded perfect and I never needed to change the eq. And I have to disagree the soundstage is huge on the buds pro, in comparison it sounded like the buds 2 pro didn't even have a soundstage. lol And hard to tell from the video, but the 3d soundstage on the buds pro is pioneering.
Thanks!! 😱😱😱 This is the best comparison that I've seen 👏 You show exactly what I hate of my buds pro, the sounds are very mixed, it's sounds satured for me, exactly that I heard on your comparison, and the buds pro 2 sounds much clearer, all the sounds are separated 😱😱😱 Now I'm Sure, I'll buy it, thanks!! I have all of the buds because I keep getting them as preorder bonus to Samsung smartphones. Tbh, for my ears, buds plus still sounds the best. Then Buds 2 pro, Buds 2, Buds pro (actually it's very hard to hear the difference between B2 and B1P when you are using them both irl. For me they sounds 95% same), and then Buds 1. They never fall off because of the rubber wings, which can happen with other buds, during the hot day or at the gym when you get sweaty). They sounds the best from all of them to me (at least for the music I listen to), and even tho they don't have the real ANC, with the custom plugs PNC does the perfect job. I can hear next to nothing except the music while in the mall but also I can hear approaching car when Im just working or doing some stuff outside. That said, I can't wait for Buds 2 Plus and I hope those will be at least as good as OG buds plus.
I have had the pros and now have the 2 pros. The 2 pros are crazy bass heavy which like because I listen to hip hop. You can hear a cleaner separate of highs and lows. Thing that surprised me the most with the new ones is anc is better and the ambient feature is way clearer.
For real, i have the Sony Wf1000xm4 and if i can the GB2 Pro have very similar bass response(after i EQ them of course). What made Sony sound so rich and dynamic is thanks for their mid range focus tunning, while GB2Pro is more treble focus
I really wanted to buy the buds 2 Pro. I could imagine myself switching to it while I'm recharging my buds pro. But I think I like the music on buds pro better. The buds 2 Pro music sounded robotic and artificial for me (is it because was using the buds pro?). I prefer the heavier tone and wider soundstage of buds pro. Nice vid.
@@electronicservices1062 but if you have to equalize them first they are worse imo. I mean you could equalize the original buds pro to your liking too, so no real reason to upgrade. Or am I missing something?
Buds pro for me sound the best across the board but the only thing stopping people from buying it and I think alot if people would agree with is the design
IMO you can distinctly hear the brighter sound of the buds 2 pro being pushed forward at the expense of clarity. In Contrast, you here the bottom and higher end of the Buds 2 a bit lacking causing a not so crisp and almost muddy sound, still not bad just not premium. Because of what I just said I would choose the Buds pro which seems to give the best clarity and best tuning all things considered.
I think that spike in that 1.4 Khz range it's simply unlistenable to me. It sounds so off. I am someone who likes purity of sound and I like a more balanced and flat sound with a little emphasis perhaps, because so many recordings are recorded so bass heavy already for me. I have the Galaxy Buds Pro as well and I those in the soft EQ to get them to sound more balanced. I'm using a filter as well (sweatguard material I removed from Comply tips) and a smaller size of spinfit CP1025 eartips. That way the Galaxy Buds Pro sound the most smooth to me. I am of the opinion that by having a smooth sound with no peaks will give room to all the frequencies and as a result give a really natural sound that is incredibly detailed as well with great soundstage. It is a little bit counter intuitive that way. I wish Samsung would give us a full parametric EQ with Q factor control as well. These don't even have some simple sliders to EQ them in some way. Galaxy Buds Pro 2 are sounding completely off to me. I completely understand the different perspectives on what sounds good and what we prefer to listen to. Our ears also get used to a particular way an earbuds sounds. This is my opinion on this. You can really tell by listening to pink noise how off an earbud can sound. There should not be any loud whistling noises and rumble, but a nice even sound.
Le me listening on buds pro. One of the best buys I ever made. Lovin' them 💖 Only thing I hate is when some good song comes and I want to sing along... voice detect spoils the vibe. ( Can't turn off voice detect each time ).
I own buds pro for a year and it was perfect even the fit. I got yhe buds 2 pro as a freebie and I can't tellt he difference in the sound quality until I watched your video review. I agree with every thing that you preented here.
Thanks for the review and comparison. Based on the review, I prefer buds pro sounding compared to buds 2 pro. Hence, decided to keep buds pro and do not proceed with the upgrade.
I actually prefer the buds pro sound....the pro 2 is much too airy . I like a full tight closed sound with more depth. for me these are actually by default more treble and emphasis on highs and vocals with no foundation or core....the original pro's are much more balanced.
As someone who isn't in the Samsung ecosystem I have no use for these earbuds. But listening to your sound samples I personally prefer the Galaxy buds 2 Pro they're more dynamic and I like the bass extension. Nice review Aaron thank you. 🤔💯👍🇺🇸
You don't need to be in the samsung ecosystem to enjoy the galaxy buds line up. I used mine with my iPhone xr back when my s20 fe was boot-looping, and had no complaints. The galaxy buds are just solid stand alone TWS
This is the second video of yours I've watched now with samples for the Buds Pro 2. I really think there's something that's causing inaccuracies. It always sounds tinny on your videos but in real life, they never sound like that. Not even close to your samples. BTW, this isn't meant to be a negative about your video. Just something I hope you look into because it is interesting.
That is good feedback. Thank you! It will never be as in real life though because you are hearing what the microphone hears, through UA-cam compression, through your earbuds which have their own sound signature. Tricky business
@@aaronloudnwireless I think it might be something else about the buds. I have the Bud Pro 1 as well and your sample doesn't sound tinny for that. Just something odd I'm noticing with the Buds Pro 2 samples. You're not the only video where this is occurring. See? It's interesting! Lol

The balance of sound can be adjusted to your own personal taste with a good 5 to 10 band EQ in an app. The fact that this is not possible with any of the Samsung buds is the reason I won't buy them. I still enjoyed your very comprehensive comparisons nonetheless. I agree with many of the comments that the Galaxy Buds Pro have the best sound.
I made an update about the earbuds in the replies of this comment and spoiler alert, it's not good. I upgraded from the buds+ to the Buds2 pro, HUGE improvement on sound quality and I love the bass. Overall, I am very happy with these earbuds. There is one thing that I'm sure Samsung will fix with software updates but my right ear is quieter (not the earbud, my actual ear) than my left, so I have it customized to be more to the right to keep things balanced but when turning up my volume using the earbuds themselves, it moves it back to the default middle mode but as soon as I use the volume buttons on my device, it puts it back to it's customized setting. I also noticed that sometimes when turning down the earbuds, the mid-point of the sound would change. The problems are not too annoying but I'm sure they will be fixed in the future. The earbuds tho are very great, 100% worth it.

I'm listening through my Galaxy buds+ which is still amazing. I think the buds pro has an over all balance, the buds 2 pro has more clarity on the vocals and there's this separation between vocals and instruments. The buds 2 is like 1 step down from the buds pro.
Great video! Realised the mic quality for the Galaxy Buds were the best performing out of the 3. Not sure how that stands as of today as I need to get a new set of buds and mic quality is priority.

I have a Galaxy Buds 2 and whenever I talk to people using my earbuds, I get negative feedbacks. I'm sure that I'm wearing them probably and using Wearable app. What could be possible reasons? As I can tell from the comparisons it's not bad. I'd be quite happy if you could answer my question. Thanks.
I has the buds 2 pro for 5 days and it eats up my previous buds pro in all aspects and my airpods pro in sound quality when it's in dynamic mode. Period
You have an extremely weird spike at 1200-1600 on the buds2 pro. Mine don't have that. Mine are much closer to buds pro. Did you have anc or ambient sound on? It changes the frequency response. I just checked and mine do in fact sound like that when ANC or ambient sound is on
Still no aptx hd/ adaptive / ldac.. Xm4 is probably still the best tws to rock flac files on a non-samsung device. Tried the xm4 in the store, tweaking a little eq on their app and it's great.

Samsung also brings back a lot of features so they will probably add that in the future! The wearables gets Updates all the time
This is misinformation, in-ear headphones are closed-backed and thus they don't have a wide or wider soundstage. That's just not true.
@Sterben to call it misinformation is very ignorant... if you believe the buds 2 pro have a wider sound stage that's your opinion. But I got ears and I know what I hear. Physically older buds pro have larger drivers so they can not be inferior in sound quality especially base range.
Does buds pro work well with Xiaomi phones?
@rezakmt6075 they work well with any android device. only with iOS there are limitations.
It sounds clearer on the buds pro, but buds pro 2 was ok, not worth the upgrade
It’s because it haves more bass with buds
Thank you! The only channel that compares sound and microphone quality! 👌💪
No problem!
Just got my Buds 2 Pro. Very nice! Now just waiting for my Galaxy Flip 5!
i love your reviews! Nothing explains how each product works better than a realistic comparison like this!
I do hope so, I would really like the seemingly better fit of the 2 Pro with a sound profile more similar to the Pro
@@deinemuddaisdoof don't worry they're gonna get a first update in next 2 weeks, samsung should fix and boost anc plus optimize sound output. We will see 👀
@@olegr6019 is it out yet?
@@StaticNebula26 Not yet but it's coming 😉
I got the Pro 2 about a week ago and the first thing I noticed is how much more comfortable they are than the Buds Pro. The Buds Pro have a bigger bump on them so they can't quite seal the sound as much as the Pro 2. For me the Pro 2 sound a lot better just for that 1 reason. The bass is a lot punchier (which I really like since I'm a bass head), the mids and highs have got a slight improvement, but it's not as much as the lows which I really like.
the buds pro is so good even samsung cant beat its own product 🥶🥶

Buds 2 Pro have best sound to the majority. They follow the Harman curve a little closer than the the other Samsung buds and they have bigger drivers than the other buds
The dedication and commitment to making this video must be appreciated. I am here now because Buds 2 is on sale today on Amazon.
I never saw a video like this, testing every bit of the product. I appreciate it, It is a huge effort to make these videos
Thanks a lot man

I don't think there is a big difference between to Buds Pro and Pro 2. Amazon currently has a Cyber Monday deal on the Buds Pro for a 100$ right now.
I have been waiting for this kind of review since the launch of the buds. Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!

Hey, I also bought the bods pro 2 and in ambient mode I get a static noise like wind. Do you experience this?
No one do the comparison test like you for these earphones. Keep it up man:)
The only noticeable difference in my opinion is the fit, because of the round shape will stay better in your ears. In terms of sound from your sample Galaxy Buds Pro sound better, Buds Pro 2 sounds similar to Buds 2.
The way your review techniques have evolved! Great work Aaron!
Best channel ever, mainly it's possible hear these types of ear phones with quality. Grate!
Thank you!
I own the bud2 pro and it's the best ear bud I've owned. The bass mode is what I use the most
If I have to choose - I would definitely go for Galaxy Buds Pro. It's warmer in sound while the new ones are too harsh for me.
fr, that's a big difference
Carlos you are right on the money. I took back the pro2 and kept the pro. Buds pro have a fantastic sound!
No😱, I have the pro.. and the sound is a bit satured, not very clear, exactly what I heard on this video
And this is the reason why I don't use it for listening to music...
After seen this video I'm sure, I'll buy the pro 2
Just hear the sounds, are much clearer and separated....
Thanks!! 😱😱😱
This is the best comparison that I've seen 👏
You show exactly what I hate of my buds pro, the sounds are very mixed, it's sounds satured for me, exactly that I heard on your comparison, and the buds pro 2 sounds much clearer, all the sounds are separated 😱😱😱

Glad it helped, thanks for watching!
I just met your channel and its amazing.
Welcome! Thanks!

Nice vid.
Yea the buds 2 pro sounds thinner, and iif you're using another buds 2 pro to listen to it, it exaggerates it a bit
Yeah you gotta listen to them on reference headphones. I just got the buds 2 and after changing the equalizer they sound better
Yeah I have the buds 2 Pro and they sound better with some eq and adapt sound on.
@@electronicservices1062 but if you have to equalize them first they are worse imo. I mean you could equalize the original buds pro to your liking too, so no real reason to upgrade. Or am I missing something?
Thank you for your review! Love how buds pro are balanced in overall sound, so definitely sticking with them.
Buds pro for me sound the best across the board but the only thing stopping people from buying it and I think alot if people would agree with is the design
@Tori I respect your choices but it's just the mirror like look on the buds
Great job Aaron. Always look to your videos for my buds selections!
Awesome! Thank you!
Lovin' them 💖
Only thing I hate is when some good song comes and I want to sing along... voice detect spoils the vibe. ( Can't turn off voice detect each time ).

I actually prefer the buds pro sound....the pro 2 is much too airy . I like a full tight closed sound with more depth. for me these are actually by default more treble and emphasis on highs and vocals with no foundation or core....the original pro's are much more balanced.

They work with all devices, just better with Samsung
