Any plans to try open itb's for track use? Depending on the length you go for you can pick up good gains in mid to high rpm range but have heard they're not good for daily use due to heat soak. Love the car she looks mean on those nankangs

To be honest, i haven't done any research on open trumpets. Ive always lived by the idea that anything open in the engine bay ie air filter, trumpets are susceptible to inducing heat soak so i just didn't look into it. All i know is everyone ive seen on AE111 pages is people stick 100mm trumpets and end up taking them off and going back to stock.

I have a 111 4age Carib and my general hot oil temps are 110 but I'm using an oil filter sandwich plate which Is the shittiest way to do it

Yip, seems like quite a few people say the say same thing about the high temps. I have a sandwich plate also, what would be the ideal way to read oil temps?
