- Nigeria hosts some of the largest and most powerful ministries in the world today. This did not happen by chance. It is the product of definite seeds that were sown in the country at a specific period of time in our nation’s history.
Indeed, the Bible speaks about a time to plant and a time to reap that which is planted. There was a planting season when a belief system founded upon the knowledge of certain truths within the Scriptures was established. It was a time when the weightier matters of the law were clearly taught.
Then came the time to reap; a time when people started harvesting great results from the lives of those that embraced and understood the truths while they were being sown.
Round about the early 70′s a wind of the Spirit began to blow over the land. Young men and women started to express a new belief system which they had called getting-born-again. It was known as the SU movement, fashioned after the name of the principal organization behind it - the Scripture Union. The conscience of young people had come alive and a heightened emphasis on godliness and character was established. Consequently, the hope that this new birth experience would become the moral force of the Nation was born, and the moral compass of what would later grow and develop had been set.
By the late 70′s into the early 80′s another move was initiated, it seemed headquartered in Tulsa Oklahoma under the leadership of Kenneth Hagin. It first started to sweep through campuses in institutions of higher learning such as the University of Benin, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Lagos, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, University of Ibadan, Ahmadu Bello University, Ambrose Alli University and many others. All of which started receiving the content of this movement through the printed page.
Books like, How to be led by the Spirit of God, The Two Kinds of Righteousness, The Art of Intercession, The Faith That Moves Mountains, The Blood Covenant, How to Turn Your Faith Loose and The Authority of the Believer became must-reads. The saying; “the just shall live by his own faith” became the anthem of the day. The individual’s access to his God, as well as his ability to hear from Him directly and receive revelation knowledge from the Scriptures, was established.
Simply put, the charismatic pentecostal movement had been born!
Leaders from this Movement who had acquired skills of the practice of the knowledge of the truths began to establish what is known today as mega-churches in major cities across the globe. The foundation was laid on a deep interaction with the Holy Spirit by long hours of prayer and meditation on the Word of God. We believe that the planting season is back in Nigeria and the seeds that will produce a finer harvest and a form of the Faith for years to come must be sown.
The fundamentals and the foundational truths of the Faith movement and the promise attached to them will be recaptured at the World Faith Believers Convention - WOFBEC 2024.
What Pastor K said that Jesus rebuked the wind and told the sea, peace be still. He said rebuke that pain and tell your body to be still. I rebuked the pain in my stomach that I have been feeling for some months now and told my body to be still. Instantly I felt relieved. Glory to Jesus. I return the praise oh Lord. Thank you Jesus.🎉

A sermon with good intentions and a blessing to me, but with some practical naivity and biblical inaccuracies: e.g the bible says "a great door and effectual is opened unto me and there are many adverseries" - 1Cor 16:9. So whereas it is true that some have become paranoid with "need mentality" or "enemy mentality", in establishing a sound assertion in one area of scripture, Pastor Kingsley contradicted other important tenates of the faith. Their inbalance at one end is met by Pastor K's imbalance at the other end. Overall its always a delight to listen to Pastor Kingsley though.

Don’t focus on the adversaries, focus on God who is able to defeat the adversaries.
I love Pastor Kingsley, but I have to agree with you that there are inaccuracies as I have also found where he said that it is religion that tells people that God is always measuring (see video recording @18:25). He said that God does not look for reasons why you are not qualified, no fault finding (see video recording @18:37) He also said that when we ask God for something it doesn’t have to be for the kingdom or Holy (see video recording @17:42)
The Bible says in 1 John 5 vs 14 to 15 “this is the confidence we have in God, that if we ask anything according to his will he hear us and because what we ask is in his will (for the kingdom) we guarantee that he will give us.”
In James 4 vs 3 said “ye ask and receive not because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” This tells me that God vets the motive for what we ask before he answers our request. Therefore we can’t just pray anyhow and expect God to answer.
Jeremiah 17 vs 10, “I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”
Based on my knowledge about of the scripture and how God operates, what Pastor Kingsley said in those three parts of the message, is contrary to the scripture.

This is a wonderful teaching but there is a place for warfare prayer as well. Nigerians engage in this prayer because of their experience which is quite different from what happen in some other part of the world . I agreed we must not pray in fear but we must pray according to the Spirit of God as you rightly stated. It must be balanced.The Bible says we wrestle not against flesh or blood but…….God will help us to serve in truth and faith. God bless.
Jesus already won the war, tap in by faith. The Bible said Jesus defeated death and defeated hell. Be careful not to be fighting an already won battle. We wrestle not by our own strength, but in the name of Jesus which all things bow to his name and the only way to activate this is by Faith.
The battle is in the mind. The scriptures say we wrestle against things that oppose the knowledge of God and take captive every thought and bring it to the obedience of Christ. This will let you know that it is a mental battle. For instance, this thought that enemies and witches (whom Jesus already defeated) are your problem, is a stronghold that you have to wrestle against in prayer so you can be truly free.
