Storm Chasing Arizona's Monsoon 2024

In August 2024 I spent 20 straight days chasing monsoon storms all over the state of Arizona.
Some days I was close to the Mexican border while other days I was close to the Utah border.
Storm chasing in Arizona can be a lot of fun, Yet very frustrating as well. Drive for hours for a storm to fizzle out before you arrive. Trying to find a nice areas to setup and photograph the storms was also frustrating.
Arizona has a lot of power lines, Very difficult to get away from it all, As well as all the development throughout the state. Finding a nice spot was a real challenge most days
I ended up with some awesome moments with some violent storms and had a great time overall.
I was using my Nikon Z9 for internal 8k Timelapse recording, Nikon D850 for interval images of the storms.
I was using KF Concept magnetic filters for my Nikon 20mm and 70-200mm as well as my 50mm.
ND 8 and ND 64 were my go to filters for this trip and they worked out great.
I did have a MIOPS Flex lightning trigger but I found it missed 90% of the lightning strikes which was disappointing for the price.
