Artist Christopher Bauder / Noor Riyadh Festival 2022

Christopher Bauder is a Berlin-based international light artist and designer. With his team and musical support, he has created internationally successful installations such as Deep Web and Skalar. Bauder's audiovisual performances always take place at the interface between art and technology.
For the Noor Riyadh Festival, Bauder teamed up with Bulgarian techno producer and DJ KiNK (Strahil Velchev), who is highly celebrated for his dynamic, spontaneous live performances to produce AXION, a large-scale light art installation located in the Saudi Arabian desert.
"With its grid-like array of light tubes and mile-long sky lights, AXION resembles a giant scientific device for space exploration, particle detection, or interstellar communication. But once you step inside, it is a reflection on the potential of axions, dark matter, and the idea of the unknown."
