Ich habe das Konzert live erlebt. Alexander Malofeev ist der Inbegriff dessen, was ein Konzertpianist sein sollte. Absolut brillant, natürlich. Technisch einwandfrei - auf jeden Fall. Atemberaubende subtile Kontrolle über alles, Dynamik, Farben, Rubato, Agogik und Phrasierung Aber er hat auch eine Wärme und Menschlichkeit, mit der er eine tiefe, emotionale Verbindung zu den Zuhörern aufbaut.

🎉What a butifull sound,poetic,genuine personality.Great! He will be an excellent Chopinist. His soul is singing. Being a polish/ french pianist retired, I have played this piece and coached for Warsaw competition ,I appreciate his style, very close what I imagine beeing right for this piece.

He should do IT more often. IT suit him very well. O was born with Chopin and it is my profession. I studies on Warsaw with great teachers before moving to the west.He understand deeply the style without aby doubt. Bravissimo.

A supreme artist. The very finest in a current world of excellent performers. No-one excels him so far this century or even the last. His Chopin is a revelation like everything else he performs. He provides the gravitas, the solidity of this other genius, so often missing. Chopin with a Russian accent! Perfection.

@@emilyhutjes I am so sorry that you couldn't attend Alexander's concert in Amsterdam ... you definitely deserve high respect for this decision, other people would have gone there inspite of their cough attacks. I love Malofeev, I think he's an astonishing pianist, but this interpretation isn't for me. I don't think I've ever heard so much rubato and ritardandos at cadences - which for me kept interrupting the forward flow. Personal opinion. That said, I would like to see him playing more Chopin
