Thanks! Was able to do it with this video. One thing to add for the 4 clips is you actually just need to press down on the center circle and they will be easier to pull out.
This comment should be pinned. I couldn't get anything underneath the clips near the strut towers and the video kinda glances over those 2, so I didn't know if there were model year differences or if I just had to manhandle them out. Saw this comment just in time to save my clips. 😅 Thanks! And huge thanks to the poster for making a 90 second video that shows (almost) everything you need, instead of a 20 minute one. 👍👍
honestly well done on the edits on this video. I'm not no expert but those were some pretty good cuts my dude, keep it up you might have a talent! thanks for the tut! bout to do this tomorrow.
There is no need to remove anything other than the 4 pins. I saw a bunch of videos where people were pulling off their wiper arms?! Crazy. This video is much better. But even still. No need to remove the strut tower pieces or the black corner pieces. Literally just the 4 pins, I actually only needed to remove 3 of the 4 pins technically. And you can squeeze your hand in there.
For center tabs make sure u got another hand on top of the tab when pulling the plastic cover up, they like to pop out. Luckily it fell through the engine bay onto the ground lol
Is there a fuse to remove instead of doing this? Oh and where does the other end of the connector plug into? Edit: found the fuse on my i20n it’s located on driver side fuse box. It’s the 10A “module 7” fuse.
I am curious, Does the base non turbo veloster have these as well? I cant really see anything that looks like that through the vents in the plastic right there on my 2016 Base Veloster
The overall sound won't change much, but the biggest change I noticed was no more buttons rattling in N mode. I don't know why Hyundai added a rumble motor at all, it really doesn't need it.
its a small two pin connector that plugs into the sound generator. That little puck next to my hand is the sound generator, it is bolted to a brace under the dash.
Watched the vid. And it took me 10 mins to to everything!! 👏 ‼️ great vid made a huge difference

Thanks for the kind words! I hope it goes smoothly for you
I always thought it sounded weird. I had no idea this thing was there... unplugging tomorrow!

I should have done this years ago
thanks, is she tuned?
Don’t worry I broke enough clips for both of us 👌🏼
i lost one of the 4 clips, do you guys know where to get the clips?
How will this car sound without sound generator?

Is that on 2022 Veloster N models
I believe they all have it.
What difference does it makes ?
More wooshy stu-tu-tu-tu turbo noises
Why the hell is it there in the first place? What’s it do?!?
what was that plug for

I broke every one of those fucking clips
Don't worry, I broke the cable when pulling it trying to unplug it lol
Bro clean your engine bay lol.
