    Part of healing from sexual abuse is the realization that the shame of the abuse belongs to the abuser and not the victims. I hope this talk inspires other survivors of abuse to speak openly and heal from traumatic childhood experiences. These men are helping to spread awareness by being vulnerable. Please don’t leave comments about how they should or shouldn’t be acting in this interview. This is their story, not yours. Parents talk to your children about sexual abuse. It’s your responsibility to minimize your child’s risk of sexual abuse.

    What nobody touches on are the effects of the abuse on the entire family, the abuser didnt just abuse the victim, they abused the entire family. The victim is not alone in the process, the after effects happens to the entire family, all the emotions, mentally, and emotionally and the effects are long lasting, can be a lifetime.
    He is fortunate that his father killed his abuser, because personally, him no longer existing aids in recovery and he knows that his father supports him, which is important.
    I pray that he continues to be strong and faces life head on.
    His father was put in a terrible position where he was forced to protect and defend his family, I hope he was never haunted by his actions. Life is never easy one way or another.

    The interviewer seems happy to have another person to talk to that is also open about their experience. Jody has also incorporated humor into the whole experience & so they both seem pretty comfortable. I think it’s good that they have become friends. I’m pretty sure that there were at least a few predators who rethought their actions after seeing that guy get shot on tv. The father must have felt guilty for not seeing what was happening & betrayed by the guy he tried to help, that would have overwhelmed anyone’s brain. These guys ended up encountering the wrong people at a really young age when they didn’t have all the cognitive tools they needed & I think they’ve dealt with it really well. I really enjoyed this talk!

    I also have been sexually abused, and up to now It's still difficult for me to talk about.. and after like 2 years I finally was able to tell my mom about him (I was in 4th grade when it started and he was my school ride) and I swear if my mom knew how to use a gun she would've been Gary Plauche but she was a black belter in Taekwondo and yes she did kick him down and yelled at him for sexually harassing me. Moving on to 2 years I was in 7th grade I heard a news about him going to jail for touching a little child luckily her mom was there when it happened and she was able to put him in jail for 3 years. when I saw him again I was so scared I couldn't even talk or move I instantly told my friend to not ride that ride because he's the guy I was talking about all the time, she instantly understood and went home with me instead. I was so happy and felt safe because of my friend and up till now she's still the best bestie I ever had

Being sexual abused is not going to change your sexual orientation which I believe is determined at birth. But I will not discount the possibility, that depending on the age and other circumstances, it can confuse someone as to what is normal...it creates a doubt. 39:06 this is what I have been saying to people, now even Jody said it. Guess that makes him a pea dough empathizer? No, that's how idiotic people functions for coming to such conclusion.
    There you have it, Jody and I think alike on this specific part. One is THE victim and the other is a neutral party.
    1:15:05 What is this? It's not a RULE that people can't overcome the horrendous trauma? HUH?? Yeah, again Jody spitting facts. Some do, some don't. Deal with it.

    16:03 I will disagree here. I'm an aunt and I love to spend time with kids rather than their parents! I don't get along with the parents ethos & values but we do live in the grandma's house (different culture). So when I'm visiting, yes the kids do come over and I give them cereal and play with them. I'm like a mother to them. Definitely not a molester and I don't have such interests in them (sounds weird even saying it!)

    Maybe it’s just I’ve never seen a discussion like this be so relaxed and comfortable for the victims to speak on, but I hope Jody is truly healed. Sometimes the way he talks about Jeff it’s almost like he misses him or idolises him to some extent which would be from the grooming but I think the fact he’s turns out so ok is the fact I think Jody is gay. And could of looked at Jeff in a different way (please don’t hate me for this thought I know I have no right to allude to these things but something feels uncomfortable about how comfortable they are but that may be on me to fix not them

    “Even stone cold killers love their kids, and people like him have to go.” I definitely see the danger of just letting people murder people accused of doing something but I think this is a case that’s understandable and forgivable for sure.

    For God's sake stop putting a stigma on tickling lots of child molesters don't tickle at all and clearly you have no children because if you did you would never even say that!! Obsurd to make that assumption just because you were tickled by your molester!!! I was molested and would never ever joke about it or talk like you do.. Stop going around throwing stupid suggestions people are molesters if they tickle or wrestle with kids... 🤦‍♀️

    • @jplauche
      @jplauche Рік тому +7

      Jeff never tickled me. But many child molesters use tickling as a way to test the child's boundaries. And of course people tickle that are not molesters...but ticklers suck! End of story.
