I dont think He condones abuse, because I was in an abusiverelationship and left. About a year later, I decided to give my life to The LORD. I had been studying The Bible, and thought about going back to my ex, but I was convicted to NOT RETURN, by The LORD.
You don't. You respect the fact God hates a man that abuses a woman and leave him to God's eternal consequences. You can forgive to move forward but you will never and should never forget. A lot of the Bible's violence is mostly because God is trying to protect and preserve His people...he HATES evil so he destroys it when it comes threatens His kingdom, even if it means destroying cities. Satan does the same thing....he destroys homes, families, marriages, and children. He loves domestic violence. We must always stand up to such evil and never allow it.
A person should not stay if she is being abused. The Lord did not exactly encourage me to go back, so, I think that a woman should never stay in an abusive situation.
I just want to say, I am certainly not judging anyone who stays. I understand that it's hard to leave for some people. I just meant that it's best not to stay, if it is possible to leave. I have been though abuse, so I do know how it impacted me. Shalom.
This is my opinion, I am not sure if it is 100℅ Biblical as I am still exploring the issue myself: A few years ago my brother was being sexually abused by our uncle. I always cried to God because of it as I was a helpless kid and my parents were not taking enough action and God rescued him from it. Now take that in a marriage where a man is being abused by his wife. Will God then change his standards of destroying the wicked and saving the victims? Of course not. God doesn't change. However, in the same vein, God's standards of marriage don't change where Jesus says all divorce is sinful except under adultery so I think legal separation is alright. If you divorced someone and God says not to go back, good on you but for any men or women struggling, please seek a legal separation. With separation, I believe you can settle all terms such as financial and child custody aspects without splitting the marriage. You will be separated but not divorced.
I tried to like this video but the button didn't work! I clicked the thumbs down just to see if the buttons worked ( I do not dislike this video) . it took the "dislike" and said it will notify the creator of the dislike ! Why is UA-cam only allowing "dislikes" for this video! Again I don't dislike your video. I want you to be aware of the "like" button not working. keep spreading your message. The more I follow the bible the better my marriage has become.
I agree, what if religious leaders use the scripture where it says the only reason a spouse was to divorce his/ her spouse would only be because of Adultery?
What is the wife lies about domestic violence? What do we do as Christian? Do we pursue the truth if she continues to lies and go to trial or settle base on her lies and give her what she wants?
The bible telling you to "love your wife" is not the same as " do not abuse your wife". If domestic violence means that the couple has lost their connection with god and the wife "respects your husband", shouldn't she stay and help her husband reconnect.

GOD always understand your problem. He doesnt ignore them.
Here's the thing though how do you respect a man that abuses you?

Seperation yes get to safety. Not biblicall to divorce. People base their opinions on emotion and Not Scripture.

Adultery is still abuse. It's emotional, psychological and mental abuse. Many don't know that.
What about emotional abuse?
