I found this song years ago, by accident. I clicked on a video that featured 19th century pictures of the dead. I believe the pictures had been found in an attic somewhere in America after being lost for decades. This song was played as pictures of those 19th century Americans, in life and in death, were shown. The combination of those pictures and this song produced such a powerful mix of beauty and darkness. I've never forgotten it. But the video is nowhere to be found these days, possibly due to the copyright of the song, or the nature of the photos. I would love to find it again one day. I also wonder which particular set of photos were used, because I'm sure they still exist somewhere.
One of the greatest songs ever made that nobody really knows about. I wish the artists who made this get some wicked recognition! Well done. Very well done.
Neofolk is one of the few forms of real high art music to still be around. That,Soul Music,and Chiptunes. Real Classical isn't a thing like it used to.
