Having trouble pasting the texture to the mask? The mask stays white? When you go to copy the texture, first you must select the entire layer (ctrl-a) and then copy it (ctrl-c). From there you can ctrl-click into the mask and paste the texture. Another tip: if the texture effect is too strong on your design, click the texture mask > properties tab > and use the density slider to adjust strength.
I'm not a big youtube guy watching wise, but your videos have been a Godsend. As someone who has taught themselves everything from DJing to photoshop to digital marketing, etc. your videos have been hella helpful not only just for t-shirt designs but other areas in design as well. hi i'm korean. i want you to know i really appreciate for your lectures actually i wanted to buy something, anything just to thank you. but... your onlineshop is full of really useful things!! i'm not a designer, just want to learn skill to make something look cool. you're my teacher. super thank you!
With this one, I actually just finessed some copyright free clipart. Every once and awhile you can find some good stuff that just needs a little TLC to make it cooler. I'm not an illustrator, so sometimes I need to resort to that.
Hey man! Awesome video! I did not know about the option key trick haha, thats cool! Also on messages, if you go to System Preferences> Notifications> Messages you can set the alert to None and then it wont pop up on screen. I just learned that trick because I had the same problem!
Hey bro. Great video!! I am trying to find somewhere that will screen print but having problems with finding somewhere that will do the size (no bigger than your stuff) and apply the right gradients. Any advice on where to look or a different type of print? Thanks.
Thanks for watching! Just keep looking around and try to get recommendations if possible. Every printer is different and going to have more/less experience.
Once you've used your Layer Mask, hit Command + A then you can bring up Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and adjust the texture to your liking.
yooo @fuller -- How do you save down these files in a transparent format that preserves the mask and is print ready? Do you save .png? Do you flatten the image first? A quick tutorial on that would be amazing. Thank you
@@FULLERMOE That didnt work, all tutorials are great, but missing the most important piece for DTF prints. WHen I delete the black image, all black goes way and I have a bunch of white little texturs everwhere

@@FULLERMOE Can you make a video for beginners, did not have luck followning this video to place the texture, some people are just getting started and it is not easy to do, like the method of placing it did not work for me when I figure out how to open it. I have seen a bunch of texture videos and I've had trouble with them. People either do not go slow enough or just expect everyone to be at a certain level. @@FULLERMOE and sorry if my first post came out annoyed. This is the fourth texture video I have watched and still have trouble. At least you shared which button to mash down at the bottom corner that is a square with a circle, two other videos cut it off on the screen and said mash this button without even showing which one leaving me stuck. I just want to figure this out..sigh
If you’ve watched a bunch of videos about the same thing and it still doesn’t work…sorry to say, it’s probably not the designers who are making the free tutorials for you, you’re probably missing something. It’s impossible for me to make videos that suit everyone’s level of expertise but I do my best. It just sounds like me like you’re frustrated and taking it out on me to be quite honest.

How do I lighten the texture??.... I like to use the vintage crackle but sometimes it’s just too heavy
Once you've used your Layer Mask, hit Command + A then you can bring up Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and adjust the texture to your liking.
Is there a way to add vintage textures to photos in procreate??
Man i'd love to see a tutorial on that Childish Gambino art
Appreciate that. Might do a Behind The Design type series with me and other designers to give some more insight. Kinda like VH1 Behind The Music lol.
yooo @fuller -- How do you save down these files in a transparent format that preserves the mask and is print ready? Do you save .png? Do you flatten the image first? A quick tutorial on that would be amazing. Thank you
You should just be able to delete the background, merge your layers and save as a PSD file. Otherwise same method but save as PNG.

When I paste my texture into the layering mask it is a different color than the original image? Any idea what’s going on?

You'll only see the semi-transparent look if you don't have a background or if the background is not visible.
For some reason when I paste the texture in the layer mask it does show up? Or maybe it goes under the white
