If you've been paying attention the last few years, you have undoubtedly at least seen the Netflix Documentary in the Netflix Carousel. This movie talks about the accessibility of molecular biology including technologies like CRISPR.
Much like individuals in that documentary we are able to leverage these technologies to optimize (both ethically and by profit) production of these animals. This is advancing herp husbandry. This is the world of breeding reptiles and research combined together for actual scientific results.
It's very exciting!
