Michigan was way overrated, when they faced great team like Notre Dame and Ohio State, they were completely outplayed. If Michigan were in the SEC, they would probably be 6-6...
Michigan didn't lose because they are a bad team, they lost simply because OSU was better. This is coming from an upset Michigan fan but looking at the big picture a 10-2 season is still something to celebrate. Plus Michigan still gets to play a bowl game.
It looked like Meyer and entire team scrutinized every detail of every game we/Michigan played this year on tape. They exploited our weaknesses --less speed in many positions, inability to adapt to rushed offense or change defensive strategy -- and we looked as if we hadn't practiced all week. Or scoured their game tapes, especially their offensive line. We played like a deer in the highlights for much of this game and the blame starts with Harbaugh and Brown.
Harbaugh tried to play smashmouth football against a team that is blatantly larger, more athletic and far quicker. His game plan made absolutely no sense in the context of the personell UM has.

Why does it always seem that Michigan has such unathletic corners? Watson was getting toasted all game because he just doesn’t have it. I feel like Don Brown just likes short run stopping corners instead of athletic coverage guys. That will win you games in the B1G. Won’t win you a national championship.
As a Michigan fan, I'd be happy if the school would follow the University of Chicago's excellent lead and drop football and maybe all sports and strictly focus on academics instead. Right now the university has a great academic reputation and it would only get stronger if this sport -- with all of the CTE and various other serious injuries -- were to be given the boot. And if you think about it, the sport really is a joke from the standpoint that it almost never fails that "bad" officiating calls are made and when that happens you might as well just think of the game as being (subjective) synchronized swimming because fairness has been tossed out the window and one is then only left to guess who would *really* have won (the game) if that sort of maddening garbage wasn't added. (Of course, I'm not talking so much about this particular game as tOSU was so totally dominate in every phase, but you get what I mean.) People often compare football to chess but in chess one doesn't get to make an illegal move and then carry on and pretend like it didn't happen. That makes football a highly flawed game and one might as well watch water droplets race down a windowpane ... and let folks jump up and down and make a big deal out of it as that would make about as much sense and, too, young men wouldn't get stuck with horrible life-long injuries. On top of that, if colleges were to drop the sport, NFL teams -- with all of their greedy ingrate ant-America players -- would have to find their own way of producing players ... instead of getting to use colleges and universities as freebies to keep themselves in business. Michigan sucks. Always has and always will. This game made me feel a lot better about my Huskers because we only lost by 5 at The Shoe. I hope we can play OSU next year in the B1G championship.
