  • The thief on the cross has often been an example of God responding to a type of “deathbed confession.” But does God respond that way today? Why did Jesus grant salvation to the thief on the cross, and what has changed since then? The word of God is clear about who obtains salvation today. Listen in as we discuss this important topic on this episode of The Salt Block.

Thank you for asking ... In answering your question Natpatterson... The evidence is as follows: Water Baptism was a commandment of the New Testament Covenant starting 50 days after Christ's death, on the Day of Pentecost by the Apostle Peter who declared it in Acts 2:38. This commandment Acts 1:2,3 of Jesus Christ was biblical recorded throughout the entire First Century Church in 1. Acts 8:12-14 to the Samaritans, 2. Acts 8:35-39 to the African Eunuch; 3. Acts 10:44-48 to the Gentiles, 4. Acts 19:1-7 the converts of John the Baptist who was baptized a 2nd time according to this New Testament Directive. In Heb 6:2 the doctrine of water and spiritual baptism are list as foundational and essential to the Christian faith. In Jn 3:5 incorporating the same two baptisms Jesus told Nicodemus that one must be born of the Water and Spirit in order to enter into the Kingdom of God. Mark 16:15,15 says he that is baptized shall be save ... and the same is said in I Pet 3:21...

I would like to hear your thoughts on Old Covenant vs New Covenant. Are you implying that water baptism has always been a requirement of God (Old Covenant) or are your saying it only became a requirement after Jesus died and was resurrected (New Covenant)?

We are saved by faith not by works. These guys do not understand scripture. You just doomed millions of people to Hell. Do really think that Jesus needed to be Baptism. These guys live by works. I bet they believe they can keep the LAW😢😂😂😂

I'm not sure you've really studied this topic. What is sin? Do you believe a believer can stop sinning?
