I honestly had hope for this girl and then I saw on FB she passed away. As a recovering alcoholic of more years than she was alive, I know how difficult and shame filled the hole of alcoholism can be. Every minute of every day is spent in dread of how you know your day will end. I'm currently sober 2+ years and never looking back. I've learned that when I focus on the past, I'm controlled by shame. When I focus on the future I'm controlled by fear. I focus on my now because that's the only thing I have. My now is what defines me. I could've easily been Jessica in a thousand different ways. Mark, you allowed her voice to be heard. Her fears to be shared. Her burden to be lightened. At least for a brief moment in time. I'm so grateful for your channel. You give a voice to those who otherwise would remain in the shadows. RIP Jei Bee. You mattered.

“School was my get-away.” THIS is why I’m a teacher. Because so many kids have a safe place away from their messed up homes for at least a part of the day with someone who genuinely cares about them as a person. I think a lot of people don’t realize this aspect of school. It means the world to me.

And YES SHE IS STILL HURTING ABOUT NOT HAVING A FAMILY SUPPORT SYSTEM. As she stated she does have family just they are NOT CLOSE! So that’s why she feels so alone. And she looks to the streets for 💕 LOVE! this will go around &around until SHE WANTS TO GET &ACCEPT HELP! The drinking is I think the biggest problem .

Your totally right, having a support system especially with a family that still loves you and really cares for you helps a lot. It helped me I'm recovering and I'm loving myself to the fullest now, I can't lie I went back plenty of times back todo the same things that destroyed me but now I'm seeing I have so much potential and this is about me but then again it isn't all about me, people look up to me and love me so I must do right cause changing my life I can change others with my story and that's what motivates me more.

well dying from the virus presents itself as the first threat, the mental health affects will definitely come in time...but immediately I am concerned about the virus for my kids. Of course children in abusive households it is more immediate because they are overdue from being removed from their homes in the first place. But if you have a "normal " household, the virus feels like the most immediate obstacle.

It's not like I was allowed 2 go much of anywhere when I wasn't grounded. So I just went to school 2 enjoy the freedom of not being abused. For those of you who claimed fraud and doubted, as i see on many of these videos. Your inability to have human empathy is a reflection of the society that ends up creating the tragic situations, stories and outcomes that this channel shows. They should not have to die to be believed. Take a good long look at your broken selves and realise, in another life, it could have been you.

I’m so so so sorry you’re experiencing these things. Mark hit the nail on the head...stability. Support and love is absolutely something you need and deserve...you’re likely going to have to be that for yourself which is so hard to understand and really feel/get bc if you weren’t taught how do you know what self love is feels like means etc and then when you don’t feel worth anything it’s all the more confusing. It’s not as easy as people make it out to be. Ive heard it endless times too. I really have. I believe a way of going about it sometimes is just going through the motion, you may not be connected to it mentally emotionally etc but just do it, like a robot, until you get it, it will come to you, believe in the process 🙏🏽 and talking to someone you’re comfortable with and someone you believe in (LCSW therapist psychologist etc) is going to be extraordinarily helpful to you. Your goals are more than realistic! Make posts on Facebook to do cleaning. You don’t need a whole lot to get it started. My aunt started her own cleaning business like 30 years ago. She went from nothing, to very comfortable. You can do it. I believe in you. There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, even if you don’t see it, it’s there. It’s awesome that you have a job. It’s rare to see that on this channel. You’re blessed to have a job during this pandemic. I can definitely relate to you about your mother. My mom and I do not get along AT ALL. She has told me she hates me and wish she never had me as well. I moved out at 18 and was “stuck” in an abusive relationship for 3 years. Had a son with him. My mom is an addict. So I could never become how she is. After YEARS of suffering. Working shitty jobs, being abused by my sons dad. I escaped. I always have had anger and attitude problems so it has made it hard for people to love me. But I found my other half. We have a home and I have a decent job. I never thought I’d make it out. And I did. You can too. I promise

I moved out at 15 and school was also my getaway. Had too many boyfriends and I was abused, but luckily I also had good people who helped me to grow up with more confidence.

I keep seeing comments about how these videos should be shown in high schools. As a high school teacher for 15 years, I'm here to tell you that will never happen. Even if every parent was ok with it (which will never happen) the school board would shut that idea down asap. I got in big trouble for showing episodes of Intervention in my high school health class during our unit on drugs and alcohol. Yes, some parents would be ok with it but again, that depends on where you live and when it comes to making something part of a curriculum, you're going to need a large majority of parents giving the "ok" and then the school board needs to also agree. A lot of you don't understand how many students in each class come from super religious families who demand that they preview movies before they're shown to their child and sex ed classes are taboo for them, as well as certain holidays. Yes, some teachers can show these videos but making it mandatory across the nation? Keep dreaming. I would love to see these videos as part of the curriculum but after the hell I went through after showing Intervention, I've let go of that idea a long time ago.

If they are not, then how can they make mentally sound decisions for children if they themselves are not mentally healthy. Which leads them incapable of understanding of, self awareness. We need change! So much corruption, this is not what America is supposed to be like! My Dad was an alcoholic who got sober in AA. He was sober for 21 years before he died. He was a kind, funny, smart & hard working man. I am not ashamed that he was an alcoholic. He was an orphan at 11 years old & was abused in foster care. My Mom who supposedly wasn't an alcoholic was physically abusive but I do not remember my Dad being physically abusive. Even when he was drinking. My brother is an active alcoholic but I know underneath he is a very good compassionate person. He hasn't hit his bottom. His wife has stayed & he has a phenomal job making 6 figures. His kids have lots of problems though. I went to Alanon for many years as an Adult Child of an alcoholic. Alcoholism is a family disease. I am currently a member of OA. I compulsively overate to deal with life. I never had a drinking problem. It wasn't for me. I think my Dad was the good example & my older brother a bad example.
