You took the thoughts from my mind. I very much dislike the style of the furniture you find in stores now days. And honestly, if you were blindfolded when walking in, could you really tell the difference between the stores?? I never thought about thrifting until I started watching your videos and I love your style!! My parents have both passed and I’m bringing a lot of their things over to my house. It’s comforting, familiar and, I think, beautiful.
The floor lamp with the whimsical feet stole my heart. I kept expecting it to start dancing around the room like the enchanted furniture in Beauty and the Beast. There are small similarities between the lamp's feet and the feet of the two tier round table. Love them both! Praying for your husband's health and your son's safety as he serves in the military. God bless.
I also think the barstools legs are vert pretty. I know when you do your magic they will look even better. So glad to see you again. Pat in North Carolina
Love the floor lamp with the 4 legs!! I have come to love floor lamps! A 92 year old dear friend of mine passed in Feb. and I helped care for her. Once she passed her niece asked if I wanted anything. She had a beautiful floor lamp that has a stunning glass globe. I never dreamed she would let me have it, but when I asked, she said "It's yours!" I got a couple of pictures as well, but my home is small, so I didn't want much. She had so many lamps that she kept burning and it really made me appreciate those lights. This particular one has a low watt bulb and the globe has such a lovely Victorian drawing on it, soft pink, and is just lovely when lit. You have so many pretty things and I love your furniture! Those barstools are lovely with the designs on the legs! Never saw any like that before. Looking forward to the next video and see how you paint things! I hope your husband recovers wonderfully!
Can’t wait to see the whole room come together. I think it is going to be gorgeous!!! If you have any doubt just take a photo of the room and that will tell you if you need to make changes. That is what I do and it works for me. Have a wonderful week😘.
Try polishing the "metal" trivet with silver polish. I received two as a wedding gift in 1974 and they are both sterling silver! Cleaned up they look lovely under a crystal vase or cut glass cup with flowers in them. I put one on my entry table with a silver-plated compote candy dish holding a large magnolia! Reflects light and gives a sparkle to the entry. It also is a great furniture protector. I put five small silicone "dots" such as those used on cabinet doors to keep it from being so noisy when closed or slammed. By the way, I am in the Summerville, S C area.
That bird lamp is stunning it will bring the lue velvet couch if your rug jus has a touch of light blue. I do the same put everything on the floor and go fro there
Love the bar stools! They are so unique and I know you can make them outstanding! With your painting talent and beautiful fabric seat coverings, they will be beautiful.
Deborah I love those bar stools because of the legs as well, I always love older furniture with a lot of detail and you are right if you painted them they would turn out wonderful that way too. That lamp with the interesting feet is great, so unusual. I have a walnut colored three piece cabinet with bookcases that I bought online many years ago and you are right they are beasts to move, but I still love mine. I will look forward to future videos to see how you decorate that room.
Deborah, I totally enjoyed watching you share all your multiple treasures. I agree that you have quite a collection, but in no time you will have everything put together and looking beautiful. Your Ethan Allen armoire is a real beauty. Furniture like that just isn't made anymore. What a great find! Can't wait to see it all put together! XO
Love the furniture placement in the Living room! The floor lamp with the curvy legs is beautiful. Great find! Love the bar stools!!! I think they would make great plant stands or with recovered seats! Amazing price! I have some trivets like the one you found. I use them under my plants and have also hung them in a window. No idea what they are really intended for, but love finding them. Can’t wait for your next video!!!
Happy Tuesday Deborah, family, and fur babies. GOLLY GEE, I am waiting patiently for your reveal and home tour..Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and tips. STTB(SHARED TO THE BURGH)
Have you considered...pushing the flat sides of two towers together (for all the towers) to make two lovely bookcases? I would mentally stumble every time I walked into the room and noticed the flat edges at the tops of the end pieces. Or I would replace the crown molding with a wrap around. (OCD much???)
I love the furniture in your living room. maybe some different throw pillows from the colors in your paintings. thank you so much for sharing your home with us. I hope your husband has a speedy recovery.
I love how you sprinkled your furniture around the house! I love the couch in the kitchen and how you positioned the glass table up next to it, that looks really good! And I must say, the base for the glass table is Devine! So good to see you again- I love what you do!❤️
I believe you have the right eye for picking items! Your living room looks terrific, can't wait to see it all finished up! I always look forward to your videos!! TFS Nadette
I really have enjoyed watching this type of video along with your usual decorating videos. It's so nice to see you back doing videos more frequently. I get excited when I see your videos pop up on my notifications. So much fun to go along on your journey! 😊❤
YOU just do what YOU want. Stop worrying about what we might think....stop. WE all have stuff here and there, we are human.!!! LOVE all you do, beautiful decorating. please keep your ideas and videos coming... STOP WORRYING... Jan from Aiken..
The out come will be amazing!after 3 years I'm still tweaking alittle here&there I love how it's all come together don't stress build your home as it comes❤
Thank you Connie. I am enjoying the process as we go. It really does take a lot of time. And even when I'm frugal, it takes a lot of money and energy. I realized I need to sell a lot of pieces I'm not using anymore because I'm running out of space. Lol. Have a wonderful weekend. 😊 Xoxoxo
Hi Deborah, can't wait to see how everything turns out. Love your videos, so glad you're keeping a sofa in your kitchen/ dinning area. I would redo the bar stools and use them, they are very pretty! Great video! Hugs 💕
Oh Deborah it looks gorgeous !!! I absolutely love detail in furniture an you always find great deals ! Love the kitchen nook, that couch looks a lot better in the kitchen, an what a very unique tall lamp. I’m already looking forward to your next video. Safe travels an hope your husband is healing and getting healthier 🙏🏻 I hope y’all have a wonderful an blessed week 💖🌷
Hello, the couch looks Fabulous there in your kitchen with the fruit lamp! Barstools are very pretty. Looking forward to seeing how you finish the room. Thank you for sharing!
I think what you thought was a trivet or a coaster near the end, may actually be a cover for a potpourri bowl. You always find such wonderful things and you just have the eye for how they will work together. I know what I like but I can never seem to make things work together... lol! You have a gift, thank you for sharing! Praying for your family, God bless!
Everything looks great. Can't wait until you have everything painted and in it's proper place. I like the bar stools, just cover them, they will look great. Love all your videos!!!!!
I love seeing your process. You were right, it was too heavy on the one side of your room with the shelves and cabinet together, it is balanced now. You have a good eye for seeing the lines and potential in pieces of furniture. I really love how it is all coming together and am looking forward to seeing what you have to show next! I did go to Batesburg Leesville this past weekend and had fun going into the thrift shops. My husband was talking to one shop owner and caught up on some of the people he used to know. He actually owned a restaurant in town some years ago and we drove by the building. It seems it is being renovated for a new business. I am sure we will be back for a visit again soon. Have a wonderful week!
Not a fan of those two book cases not being connected to the armoire, the very design of the top of them just leaves them looking disconnected. If the three pieces were too heavy on that wall where the armoire is, then I’d try and put them on a different larger wall. I generally love everything she puts together, especially using those rooster lamps in the kitchen and my favorite of everything she’s done is the etagere bookcase in the guest room. I think it’s just so exquisite….love how it turned out, only one thing I’d have tried to do differently is to put in glass shelves, with lighting at the top. One can get glass strong enough to hold china in a cabinet, so I think being able to use glass there would work. And of course Deborah is so sweet in addition to being beautiful that it’s always a pleasure to watch her videos.
Loving all your video's and thrifted finds. Great find on the barstools. You have such a talent for decorating and have some beautiful pieces❤Looking forward to watching you transform the each room!
Those were all great finds and I can’t wait to see how you put it all together! I always look forward to your videos! I would LOVE a makeup tutorial video because your smokey eye is perfect.
I love the tv cabinet and side towers. Such great, sturdy pieces. I am anxious to see the room put together. No doubt it will be beautiful. I also like what you have done in the kitchen area with the sofa and the glass top table. I hope your husband is doing well.
Woohoo!! I can't wait to see what/how you do to your furniture in your living room!! You find lots of beautiful pieces to fix up or paint. I know everything will look beautiful.
I would pull the love seat to center and place leather chairs in front of fireplace and leave the blue sofa where it is. The “U” shape pleases the eye and your wonderful tables on the sides would look fabulous -that’s just my opinion -your home is fantastic!! Have fun choosing your decor.
Love your style and a little bit a paint will take any outdated piece and make it spectacular! Love the bar stools and with paint and new fabric, they will look AWESOME!
I really like those barstools.I can see them painted in one of your wonderful colours with new upholstery. You are certainly finding very unique pieces. Can wait to see how you put everything today! Tfs
Excellent pieces and I love your big unit/units. I have one similar but it's five pieces with lots of glass fronts. You gave me a great idea to seperate the two large units and make another and lessening the heavy look in this room. Thank you for that........I need to try that! Love all your finds and love the bar stools. Yes, a new top with fabric would be nice for sitting at the bar as you work. I love also the idea of them being on the patio with plants or even in the rooms about the home with big boston ferns would be gorgeous. You will know what it's correct as you have that knack. Love the feet on that tall lamp you got as well as the books. I enjoy all you have it's my favorite kind of styling. Have fun and enjoy. Hope your husband is feeling better soon. Have a beautiful week!
Thank you so much! Let me know if separating your big unit works for you! I have the other set of bookshelves up in the bonus room. I have a good idea for those, also. It will be probably next year until redo that room. I have it packed full of decorations and wood. Lol. I'm glad to have kindred spirits on UA-cam that like the same kind of decorating. 🤗 My husband is feeling better each day. The doctor said 4 to 6 weeks recovery and he is at 4 weeks. Slowly, but surely on thr mend. 🙂 Have a great week and I'll see you soon! Xoxoxo
Great ideas ! You have a talented way of creating a cozy, warm beautiful room . I appreciate how you explain the thought process when designing. Looking forward to seeing it develop. 😊
I detest modernity. I have to say, that I love your style. And am so glad I'm a subscriber. If it were me, I would reupholster the barstools. The style and wood are beautiful!
The main reason I come for your videos is because of the furniture and style. I am into British Colonial and I have several family antiques handed down. I agree it is hard to find furniture with character not into the whole modern, everything white/black. Looking forward to seeing how your room turns out.
I LOVE British Colonial Style. It reminds me of the Old Southern Charleston style. What a blessing to have handed down Antiques to add to your decor. 🥰 I'm not into modern styles either. I get bored just looking at them for 2 seconds. 😆 I'd love to see your home with British Colnago design. There aren't many channels out there, if any, that show that gorgeous style. Xoxoxo 🌸
Hi Deborah l think the placement of your large furniture looks great. The bar stools have a lot of character l wouldn't change them. Can't wait to see what you paint. Do hope your husband is doing well. Your kitchen area looks lovey. Take care ❤❤
Deb...you are my favorite youtube person and so glad you are posting more these days. I love all your furniture, however, just my opinion, in your living room, you have actually placed 2 entertainment centers and personally, I would move one out. I love your thrifting segments but it seems you have a lot now and I am always looking forward to you decorating what you have. I feel the sofa in the kitchen is rather large for the glass table and can't help thinking a sweet rounded shape bench with colorful pillows might fit that better than the sofa. I love your style and I am just sharing ideas. You are such a sweet person and beauty is only skin deep but your beauty is throughout. Very sincere in your videos. P/S ~ love the table in the bay window with plants! Thank you for the videos, always. 💕
Enjoyed watching your process. My 2 cents would be to remove the checkered loveseat and put that into the kitchen instead of the living room couch. Face the orange couch from the kitchen to the big cabinet with the recliners together flanking the fireplace and put the 2 shelves back to the cabinet as before. (Your Christmas video showing the big cabinet with the 2 shelves was just lovely and made sense of the space) Move the little cabinet between the 2 shelves now behind the blue sofa. Slip cover the living room couch if it's too much orange/brown. Dot in the tables so every seat has a place to put their drink comfortably. You're fabulous at pulling together colors and would no doubt do a terrific job. Hope your husband has a speedy recovery. All the best.
Since I could not sleep and woke up early I watched your last video with the two chairs and those are beautiful I love how they look and would not do anything to them. I really like how they look in your living room. What a find and so far I think you did very well. The new lamps are beautiful but for me if they were mine I would make them a solid cream color not white to bright. I love your style.
I enjoy seeing a room "built" rather than done at once. This is fun to watch! You do get terrific buys!
You took the thoughts from my mind. I very much dislike the style of the furniture you find in stores now days. And honestly, if you were blindfolded when walking in, could you really tell the difference between the stores?? That's so funny, I was thinking the same thing about the lamp! I wonder how many others were also!
I agree about looking through books and magazines. Much better than pintrest.
Seeing what you have in the room I can only imagine- it’ll be a show place when you get going on it, fabulous!
I love the stools , I would add gold rub & buff on raised design & recover the tops .
I also think the barstools legs are vert pretty. I know when you do your magic they will look even better. So glad to see you again. Pat in North Carolina

I love what you did in the kitchen sitting area. It's so old world and cozy looking.
I love a camel back sofa.
Deborah you have such great vision for items you find. I love all your thrift finds too!
You’re slowly getting there, I enjoy seeing you create. I have missed you and so glad you’re back.
You have the loviest pieces, I can’t wait to see your magic done, love your style so many beautiful French country pieces…love love
Can’t wait to see the whole room come together. I think it is going to be gorgeous!!! If you have any doubt just take a photo of the room and that will tell you if you need to make changes. That is what I do and it works for me. Have a wonderful week😘.
I love your velvet sofa , maybe you could just cover the love seat with something similar or neutral .

Agree with you, they just don’t look like they belong in that grouping.
Omg....i have a lamp addiction and i love ur bird lamp!!

The stools as plant stands seems like the best way to use them! Sometimes stools are not comfortable for long sitting.

Can’t wait to watch what’s next
I have a lampshade just like the one on the brass lamp with the little birds on it only mine is flowers. It looks exactly like that.
Debora I dig your creative brain, a lot. Thank you. :)
