This is Dewalts cheapest 20v max set...And it is great...More money you can upgrade to the bit holder and charge indicator on battery and everything else you spoke of..No need to complain.
When I was at the AWFS I spoke with DeWalt people and if I wanted to I could up grade to 20v with charge indicator for $80 or the larger 4amp for $119. That would take my sale price out the window. Again my Porter Cable came standard with indicator. No complaint just observation compare to other brands. Thank you for your comments and I appreciate the time you spent viewing my video

the indicator, the bit holder, and the only having two batteries are due to the fact that its the "base model" ( kinda like a car). i have 4 4 amp, and a 1 .5 amp xr batteries. i juggle those between brushless impact, hammerdrill, led light, band saw, vacuum, and radio. ( i have more tools, but hardly use them) its just the nature of the game. general rule of thumb is 1 battery per main tool plus 1 for every three that you use constantly. ( the one on the charger(s). im a commercial electrician so i depend heavily on always having juice.
So it just depends on how much you need all of those things. If your lively hood depends on it then stack up. if not, then take the extra 3 minutes to go get a different bit or 45 minute brake to charge your battery if your fartin' around home hobbying.

The Drill doesn't come with a belt clip. You should look at the description of what you're buying. 14:00
i am.not sure with the Dewalt lithium ion batteries drills unless you buy the xrp line they look cheaply made and by the way the xrp line comes with a hard tough case but you get what you pay for i still got my Dewalt DW990 xrp 14.4 volt drill about to rebuild the batteries and replace the brushes and maybe replace the chuck i got mine in 2001 new $280.00 forgot where I purchased it it got the hard tough case i see you got a xrp model is it the 14.4 v or 18v ? i would keep it if you still got it they are made hear and built like a tank find yourself a dead battery for it on ebay original DeWalt branded and take the cells out of that battey that dont fit in the charger and put the cells in a original case for the battery use a T--10 Torx screwdriver and you will be fine am.not saying use at job sight but its good for around the home and belt clips and bit holders they sell em.cheap on ebay they do have batteries that fit them both that have the fuel gauge built in hope i can help i too ended up. a lot of my father's tools and stuff and I understand where you're coming from i hate to just dump em they mean alot bless you

I have the drill just the drill and it has balls also have the 12 v screwdriver and it works great u got a great price 4 u set I got the max fit bits they r great
Yes Ruben i like the dewalt bits i have a set of DeWalt and Milwaukee but use the DeWalt all the time. Thank you sir

also people say the DCD771 is not 4 contractor use I used it 4 that and it held up
The Lord is wonderful. I use my impact all the time. Contractor grade or not i treat it the same. No wimpy tools in The Shack. I use them all equally (LOL)

I was watching a video of you going through the new Dewalt tools you bought back in May 2015. What were you "flagged" for? What did they say you were doing that was wrong? Just curious.

Thank you for viewing. I apologize for the rant but I understand copy rights when I'm using music for my intro or music for the video. When it comes off the radio in the background and you can faintly hear it and UA-cam flags my video because if it I got a little upset. If I remember right it was a Rolling Stone or AC/DC song. This past year I've learned a lot and refining my videos and no more issues of copy rights. Just the frustration of learning

the bigger dewalt battery,s have a fuel gage on them
why they look like that? are those the old ones,? the new ones have more features
Gerald these are base models most now are brushless they may have changes the base model some but with the line of the 20 volt max, new features and relocation of certain features they truly look outdated.
did you ever call Dewalt to get the belt clip from them?

+The Shack I see. like you, I'm not liking the brake clack noise as well. doesn't inspire much confidence. my 20v black and decker drill doesn't do that.
Sip Chen Liew I’m not sure if it’s the nature of the design but if people have been saying things about the noise back as far as 2011 then you would think they would try some type of a damper or something. If you watched my review of, if I was going to keep it or not, the drill was truly faulty and the new one still makes a click noise but no where near the sound the faulty drill made. DeWalt is a great product. As in anything you will put out a bad one here and there. I got the one in the million. I have an OLD Black and Decker drill. Old stuff is tuff.
