I upload complete books on NotebookLM and just ask it questions! It's like having a research assistant with a photographic memory that will answer any questions about the uploaded text!

We are in pre-launch mode and your knowledge base points and FAQ are what we might be able to put to use right away. Very good stuff!

This is great. Hadn't thought to ask it to provide content ideas from the knowledge I've provided. I've been using it very basic but had an ahh ha watching this. And that's to use it just as I do Gemini and GPT. As an actual researcher/partner/assistant. Not sure why this hasn't occurred to me until now. Nice vid bro!

This is a fascinating video. Maybe I missed it , but can you expand on how a small business can do this for other entities, thus monetizing it? One of the suggestions you mentioned is making money from doing this. I'm thinking that a consultant might be able to use this, but I would like your thoughts as well. Thanks

yeah, my idea there might be a service where you collect industry information on a weekly basis for your clients into a notebook, then create various summaries of that info for them. perhaps one for ceo, one for sales, one for engineers etc. this would include some manual work but could be a valuable service!

Howdy! I see that Google NotebookLM now allows for URLs. In your experience or estimation, is there any effectual difference between just putting the URL vs. converting the website to a PDF? Is Google NotebookLM slower in responding, etc.?

its a good question, i just did a quick test and it looks like it pulls the info from the link into the memory, so if the link breaks down the road you should still have the data. so there is probably no advantage to converting it to pdf. additionally, i just noticed that you can put UA-cam links in as well! thats super handy!

what I've noticed about AI as it doesn't have access to a lot of information and it has rules about what is considered credible sources and doesn't seem to be able to evaluate its own information especially about 'science' as it repeats conclusions and summaries without the ability to evaluate studies as to how legitimate they are likely to be.

yeah, they seem to have many guardrails around certain information and while it can process info in various ways it doesn’t inherently know how to evaluate things unless it’s given instructions.
