Only yesterday I was discussing tapas with a friend, and sharing ideas for different tapas recipes. A serendipitous posting! Excellent content as always
I love Barcelona really need to go back! I learnt recently that tapas is served on bread so you can put the bread on the top of your drink to stop flys getting in!
I learnt that recently too, @ 10:55 to be precise...😉 But the question remains: who's leaving a drink around long enough that flies get interested, especially in a hot country? And also, if they didn't serve little bits of food with the drinks, then there's even less to entice the flies with in the first place.
The vast majority of cheap/everyday pinxos would be better with a thinner slice of bread. But that that's the filling part which justifies the price and soaks up the beer! So in essence, is the point of it to a degree. It's no longer about covering your beer.
Tapas and Pintxos are different things, from different parts of Spain. This video is focused on Pintxos which are originally from the Basque region in the north of Spain.
I spend so much time on carrer de blai every time I'm in Barcelona. I did have the worst patatas bravas in one place there once though. Can't remember the name of the place but it was sliced boiled potatoes 😂
Blai 9 and Pincho J are some of the best on the street. Loads are poor. Zodiaco is hit and miss but never had an issue in there. However the best place on there is not a pintxo bar and is Basque/Argentinian - Koska Taberna
Absolutely love it, I’ll be at the Manchester live happy hour show, live Tapas rating whilst getting steadily more wankered segment?..😂 brilliant as always Robbie
I would like to think that Robbie would never eat fois gras - it's horrendous cruelty. I'm not a vegetarian and neither is Robbie but there are some things decent humane people don't eat - and that's one of them 😔
I don’t think you can hold the moral high ground regarding foie gras if you aren’t a vegetarian. The dairy and egg industry are arguably as bad or worse than foie. Even in the free range egg industry, male chicks are ground alive en masse. I accept your option however.
I thought I was being clever trying to read the reversed lettering on the window behind him in the next shot, thinking that would be the name of the bar, but it just says "lunch & dinner"!
Seems like everything had bread at the bottom. I might check that street out if I'm in the area, but, honestly, none of it looked all that great. Regardless, thanks for sharing your experience!
@@RobbieKnox incredible my mate- had 5 hours there- vino was exceptional- the red at blai 9 was out of this world! Keep up the videos robbie- pure entertainment. Down to earth bloke and so relatable- great work!
I like that the ratings got higher the more drinks you’d had
agreed ahahah
Had a half pint with every tiny bite 😂
Outstanding composure remembering to thank the brand towards the end of the video after x amount of drinks
Brilliant video I like that Robbie got gradually more drunk as it went on 😂
Held it together better than expected!
10 minutes: Off the beer now, onto cava.
11 minutes... That a pint I see? Top notch Knox.
I've had the time of my life in the background whilst the Octopus bomb went in was pure poetry.

Literally doing this route now! Thanks for the advice Robbie. Favourite so far- chicken burrito at blai 9 and chorizo a few bars down was exceptional
UA-camrs will now be flocking to the Tapas street in Barcelona in 'all Wetherspoons in London' fashion. Ground breaking work, Robbie
No they won't.
The pincho tapas bar equivalent of 'doing the 92' or 'the Tube challenge'. Heroic effort from the two of you
Loved it, the variety of Pinchos was only matched by the eclectic variety of hairstyles Robbie was sporting. 8 out of 10.

Yes! Practical and tasty!
I'm so happy you found the kebab thing in King Pincho. I head to Barcelona for work often, and this district is great, but stinks in the morning!
Was absolutely buzzing that there was a new robbie knox video and it did not disappoint
Oh we do love a midweek Knox upload!
Croquettas are my fav! The filling is bechamel with whatever they have left over - jamon, meat and seafood etc.
OMG i heard about this on the pod a while back, remembered it recently and now im very happy
Hooray!

The city is not called Barça, only the football club is. The short version of the city's name is BARNA.
Genuinely looking great man, fitness journey is paying off tenfold!
Great seeing the different choices of tapas! I completely missed this street when I was in Barcelona haha, damn I missed out!
Next time Vee!
I always thought tapas was quite cultured. I never realised it’s just any old shit on a stick. Thanks Robbie!
Tapas is Spanish for shit on a stick.
I think pinchos is the stuff on sticks, but tapas is all sorts of small dishes.

Theres a korean style tapas place near me that just opened. Im going this weekend! Cant wait.
I went to this street after seeing this video and it was great, thanks for the education
Thanks pal. Great fun isn’t it?
@@RobbieKnox amazing cocktails and Spanish finger food, one of the trip highlights.
My favourite place was 'pincho J' I think it was called .
I like the fact that you saw it out and battled on until the end true warrior Robbie your a hero
I have been to this street twice now , great food and prices reasonable
So good isn't it?
Need a skiing video Robbie, would love a St Anton review
Will have a Three Valleys review in March/April!
(Removes jalapeño from burrito)
(Chews)
“….. could’ve done with a little more spice for me….”

Oh god. Bravas can vary massively I find. Blai is so good though.
Oh no. You’ve given Barcas little secret away. Love this place. Away from the tourist traps.
You are not asking for tapas but pinchos. If it has bread, it's a pincho. You should order only tapas, without bread.
Can't wait for the 118k subscriber special 🎉
Last minute is an absolute howler ahahhahaha. Love the video what a city barca is hope you had a belter
Tapas is like a fancy Spanish picky tea.
I think that's a direct translation.

1:27 almost thought the dark white would come and ambush him there
Epic idea, direction and video Robbie

THANKS FOR SHARING😋👍🏿
You're very welcome!
Great vid robbie👍
Are these places expensive for drinks?
No, really cheap. Would definitely recommend!
Drunk Robbie is awesome 😂
Happy new year robbie and family hope your ok
no one doing it like you Robbie
You should try tapas 24… the bikini toastie and Mc Foie gras are unreal… the chef worked in el bulli so it’s more modern

Think that cava tipped Robbie over the edge
Love it again Robbie!
I liked this video, thanks
You're very welcome Charlie. Thanks for being so polite.
In New York bars sold tiny burgers. They called them sliders. We didn't try them.
Nice one Natasha 👍🏻
In my experience Tapas does get better the more drinks I have.
Yeah, I did wonder if the final one would have won if it was first.
@@RobbieKnox Booze was the real winner.
Yo
Is that you doing an ad on montjuic hahaha
It is!
Admit it, this was just an excuse for a massive pub crawl 😆
Happy hour come dine with me 5 or 4 nights (depending if you want will) stevie Jack Robbie alfie and will
Could either do 1 long episode or a 4/5 part series
Only fair that now you go to a street with the most pubs
Good stuff Robbie 😂 Loved this video, Not as much as you though by the looks of it.
London tapas -002/10
very good
Thanks James.
12:00 😂😂😂😂
I thought I was being clever trying to read the reversed lettering on the window behind him in the next shot, thinking that would be the name of the bar, but it just says "lunch & dinner"!
I loved you in Derek.
Fucking love you Robbie
You didn't eat the jalapeño and then said it could have done with more spice
Are you still in Barcelona? Let's meet for a pint!
It's not a tapas street it's a pincho street Robbie
Yeah, but more people know what tapas is so it makes a better UA-cam title.
@@RobbieKnox classic Brexit response 🤣
Nice vid, didn’t know you had friends your own age
Seems like everything had bread at the bottom. I might check that street out if I'm in the area, but, honestly, none of it looked all that great. Regardless, thanks for sharing your experience!
Some are very decent, most aren't. Koska is the best on the street - a basque/argentinian run place
This was definitely not Assad video.
But this is not tapas this pintxos
Tapas o pinxos algo muy español y de la misma familia .
I believe in robbie knox supremacy 🧎🏼thanks for making me more excited to go to barcelona
