Great drills to train some of the most common situations! I also appreciated a lot the advise to angle your sword more to prevent your opponent's blade from bouncing off. I don't believe I've encountered it before, at least not phrased in this way.
Your work is incredible and I have been following it for a long time. Can you make a video about shields from the 14th and 15th century? I didn't find much content about the use of shields, other than the buckler.
Why aren’t there dedicated arming sword only manuals, but there are plenty of manuals for sword and buckler, messer, messer and buckler, sidesword, etc? Wouldn’t it make sense that an arming sword only manual would have predated and inspired all the treatises that came after?
Wondered that myself in the past... possibly it is because almost all fencing manuscripts kind of post-date the days of the (really only one handed) arming sword. Our early "Grandmasters", Liechty and Fiore, deal with pretty much anything a noble might be expected to fight with, and they did not include it, because maybe in those days, if you carried more than a dagger, you carried a Longsword (even if the difference may have only been a longer handle), at least if you were of the status their clientel was. There are probably other reasons... Would be dope though if there was one still out there, existing parallel to I.33.
Another great video.

@@zerozerosud it works! Hehe
Very educational please keep them coming. Could you also do some arming sword and shield exercises please.
@@chrisgreen8846 you are welcome. I’ll do sword and shield after finishing with this one. As the one handed sword will serve as basis of it.

Federico reinvents Taylor-Roworth
Ahahahahahah! Unluckily most one handed weapons are similar. The differences are in order of 5-10% not 90 - 95!
@FedericoMalagutti it's fine, most fencers sooner or later revert to Taylor Roworth
Thanks
