"this unassuming curtain, who never knew it would travel to Greece..." such a fun way to say that, reminds me of a kid's storybook about a curtain's adventures!
I love that 4 months ago she made that tan overall dress with that whole scenario of he wearing those rain boots and being in a garden, then she found her property that she bought and that thought process can become a reality❤️ I honestly love that so much
I believe the bottom is made as a gathered skirt with a ruffle bottom. Cut a giant rectangle as tall as you would want the skirt to be * super long (I normally make mine 3 to 4 times my waist) The ruffle is again a super long rectangle around 1,5 to 2 times wider than your skirt rectangle. You then hem the ruffle rectangle, gather the top part and stitch it on the skirt rectangle. See up the sideseam. Gather the top of the skirt and sew it to a waistband. I hope that helps a bit haha xx
"if I'm lost don't find me" killthefalsebeing, I love that last pinafore/overall dress btw, I need it in my life ahh. We just planted roses in our garden and I am vibing with your lettuce-picking dreams whilst wearing that haha
I love that u went through the basic difficulties of sewing and made it work for you! It all looks very good! Congratulations on your work. and I should add how much easier it is to design and sew for your body type! a few squared cuts of fabric, no pences needed, no big ajustments to volupious curves, no button and zippers actually needed...
“If I’m lost don’t find me” I’m so impressed & inspired with the materials you used for these clothes! I can’t wait to scrounge and old bedsheet and get to sewing :) also the overall dress turned out great!!
Love your simple little outfits! AND the way you model them! You are so clever! I started sewing at about age 10, that was over 60 yrs ago.... Had so much fun improvising throughout the years, often making my own patterns like you have done. Even made clothes for my daughter when she was little, often using scraps from things I made for myself. Keep on making your cute clothes... I think you might even be able to start your own clothing line, perhaps called something catchy like, "Hannah's Simple Things" :)
Wow I was literally watching a video you making a beautiful dress! Do you think you could make simple diy projects for beginners? I would love to make a dress but some tutorials are too advanced for me, so I would love a simple and easy one. Absolutely love what you make!! Love from Spain, Eva
You bring so much light into my day when I watch your videos. I love the outfits you make and your dance moves while showing them to us...super fun and the outfits look natural and fabulous. I adore your videos...cannot wait for the next one.
Someone give this girl a job. She's definitely a designer. Very talented. And also very brave living in a van.Bur honestly you are living your best life doing what you love. KUDOS to you because most people will never live and authentic life .
I admire your talent for being able to see clothing inside of squares and rectangles. I also sew clothing, but I can only make things from patterns. Thank you for sharing your sewing projects with the rest of us. Your talent is very inspiring.
Hannah, I just love your gliding presentation, with flurries of pure personality, I too have been a maker of clothing for mountaineering/skiing/& finding old shirts, shorts and reinforce them for gardening, work in National Parks, Forestry, and a special Anorak in red that I put braiding around the hood cuffs etc before I went Reindeer Herding in North Norway, The local Sami thought I was from an old tribe, but from where! Your full circle is just beautiful........Robin
REALLY, YOU ARE VERY TALENTED!!! I have taught sewing for decades, and YOU ARE A NATURAL, like me!! LOVE the way you get ideas, the approach to creating it, and the ultimate outcome!! YOU shoestring your own line and get abiz plan together!!!
This is crazy, but in the 90’s I sewed historically accurate clothing recreated from the 1800’s - Charlotte from RL was a favorite material/pattern, based on customer orders!!
Your pieces are so artistic and beautiful, and you model them so well! Your ingenuity to recycle and do justice to pieces of fabric is inspiring! Thank you!
I’m in love with that cute, little overall dress -and the floral one- in particular!! 💕😊 haha, I love that you get stills of clothing in your mind! I hope you enjoy gathering your lettuce in your garden some day 😂
OMG what a vision of you "picking lettuce in a garden" !!!! and then there you were tending to your gardens in that dress at your cabins and homestead!!! You are such an amazing inspiration and a woman after my own heart. I too in my twenties... made circle skirts and tops from bed sheets for the incredibly soft pima cotton not obtainable anywhere else.
I love the overall dress and the little ruffle at the bottom! Also your Ralph Lauren boot, I have fabric from a sheet set that had that print. I put most of it into a rug, but had plans to turn the pillow cases into a baby dress.
Thank you for your video and beautiful creations. I always feel relaxed watching you. There's such a lovely authentic vibe! You are really yourself, you're just keeping it real, you are totally doing your thing. It feels refreshing to watch and hear what you have to say. 💕🙌🏻
You have such a fun quirky style, I just love the pieces you've made and listening to you talk about your adventure in sewing. You should have a look at the medieval clothing that people make and sell for re-enactors because the styles may intrigue you and they would be simple to make but they are sold at a good price and it's something you could always do while on the road. Plus a lot of the round cloaks with hoods are made from old woollen blankets and sheets
the way you made everything sound so simple to make has really been inspiring me and encouraged me to keep trying to make clothes and im making good progress thank you
I just found your channel and I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE! It’s one thing to be able to sew BUT ITS A WHOLE NOTHING THING TO HAVE THE AMAZING STYLE YOU HAVE! That in combination is so so cool! I know exactly what I’ll be doing all lockdown :) hopefully I’ll be able to make some of the beautiful pieces you have somehow managed to make x stay safe everyone
I’m in love with overalls, and new to sewing apparel. Being 6’2” makes it hard to find items that fit, especially on my torso! Currently screen shotting your dress and overall pants and using as permanent inspo 💕 “if I’m lost, don’t find me” @jupiter.elise
I love the fact that you can see your style throughout all of these, the square neckline/muted tones, and the pieces are beautiful. The brown overalls look so professional and are definitely my favs :) "if I'm lost don't find me" @itsaboyerthing
I learned to sew at a very young age and have made a few things for my ex- wife ( she couldn't sew at all ) and this was a great video, but my question is , Y the hell is the plant in the corner drinking wine ? Just asking?
"If I'm lost don't find me" missannabbanana. I just recently found you, not too long ago. I've been interested in sewing for a while now, and you have been really inspiring me to learn.
Your sewing skills are AMAZING! I sew, but your ability to envision what you want to make and then just make it is wonderful! I love the circle dress, and the overalls and the overall dress. You are so talented!
"if i'm lost don't find me" I've been wanting to start making my own clothes for so long and your videos are really pushing me to do so! I'm really excited to start as soon as I can @l3yl3y
You are so creative with how u get a good adjustable fit on your garments (button tabs and extra belt loops for lacing). I’m going to in corporate those ideas into my sewing.
You are sooo full of knowledge, and I appreciate you living your way , I don’t know if there is a Video I haven’t seen yet,but I will watch one more than once!!! Thank you for sharing your Homesteading ❤😊
OMG!! I like every single piece of your handmade clothes! They just look so simply elegant and girly! Totally my style!! I hope I have crafty hands and a creative mind like yours too!
Omg Hanna you’re just a Jane of all trades! I’ve been watching your channel for the past year, missed some here and there. I’m working on getting myself caught up. I Loved this video,You are so funny, and very talented. I don’t doubt for one minute with enough food, water, firewood along with any other b asic provisions, and plenty of building materials & supplies stockpiled you probably could manage on your own just fine if you got snowed in or stranded for any bizarre reason in your Cabin through the winter months. Because you’re unpredictable and resourceful enough to get through anything. I’m older now “but” not even in my younger day’s and definitely not now or would I-ever be able too. You’re are amazing. Keep us smiling.
The overall dress! I saw you wear this is a later video and at that time I figured out I had to have it. I am more of a dark colors person so I have not figured out what color I am doing this in yet, but it is on my list to make!
I really enjoyed this Hannah! I love your approach to sewing and creating things. Your not fussy, you just try it. Makes me want to get out my sewing machine too🧵Thank you
I’ll have to attempt a new piece of clothing this spring! My mom LOVED her Ralph Lauren Charlotte...bed quilts and pillow shams. Wish I could find them now... I would LOVE to see more videos like this!!
Hannah! You’re so talented; glad you’re doing better - really enjoy your channel. Continue being kind to yourself. You’re a wonderful daughter. Be safe. Quarantined in Marrakech since 4 March - still living life despite all the restrictions! 😎👍😍
Great works ! You look beautiful the way you twirl around in those dresses.. Inside pockets are hard to do ... I still haven't figured them out -congratulations on getting them done !
you’re such an inspiration. been contemplating making my own clothes, as i’ve dabbled in tailoring and fixing clothes i’ve bought. you’ve given me a kick to get on it!
Hello from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Just wanted to say love your sense of humor, your attitude you seem like a fun down to earth girl. Your good to watch. Stay safe.
My favourite piece was that sheer double front tie blousy tank. I'm going to try that for sure and add a eye and hook closure in the middle of the hole-ey part! 😊

I would love to see you make overall shorts! I have been dying to find some but now you inspired me to make them except i dont know where to start haha
You are a natural designer and dang girl you could make a mint with your simple creations. But lovely that you keep it simple to yourself. It helps that you have zero body fat.
Such cute tops... love love love that material that you were blessed to get a bolt of at the thrift store...you for sure scored on that one !!!! And the buttons are very clever.. I love that.
Just found you & am so glad. Everything you made & tried on to show us is superb! I love everything & as a senior citizen I now know where my old body went . . . yeah, I went there . . . to that old joke . . . so sorry. So delightful; so good; beautiful girl; beautiful clothes & now I'll watch all the videos. Thank you for your wonderful clothing designs & choice of "fabrics".
You've inspired me to take a pair of never worn tie waist pants and turn them into a shorts overall by cutting off the legs and using them for the bib part. Love the quote on the hat!
I loveeee the clothes you make. I first found you a while ago from watching van videos. Your clothing inspires me so much I'm trying to learn how to make some!!!
i love that you enjoy your own style ~ brilliant ~ and make your clothes to suit you! yay so smart ~ i am a re-maker too but i sew by hand, a machine i bet would really speed things along, ha, ha... thanks for your sweet inspiration and love yr twirling and dance moves ~ yeah! have fun lovie!
thank you for showing your handmade clothes and explaining your process! i always hesitate to sew clothes of my own because of how little i know how to actually make them even though I'm decent at sewing, but you gave me some confidence and now i can't wait to delve back in again :)
I love this video! So fun! I recently acquired a 1948 15-91 Singer sewing machine that came with all of the attachments so I’m slowly learning how to make things. Your videos are helpful :)
Your flower crop top reminds me Pretty. Odd. by Panic! At The Disco, just the antique flowers and how the buttons make it look like kind of like a vest. It fits the aesthetic in an odd sort of way. Also using the buttons to make it smaller is ingenious, I honestly would never have thought of doing that and it really makes it unique.
"this unassuming curtain, who never knew it would travel to Greece..." such a fun way to say that, reminds me of a kid's storybook about a curtain's adventures!
Reminded me of the movie the sisterhood of the traveling pants, except in this case it’s a traveling curtain 😆
It sounds like a quote from a book/movie so snazzy n sheek 😍😇
True
Ooh! That's a great idea! You should run with it and write a story like that☺
The full circle dress with the white top is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!!! You are amazing!
Gorgeous
Omg the "lettuce picking" dress is giving me so much Julie Andrews in the sound of music! I LOVE IT ❤
YES that's wat i was thinking
yesss that and belle from beauty and the beast
Totally! 😊🌻
I thought the same thing. I can just see her running around a hillside singing in that dress.
YES!! Very much so!
I love that 4 months ago she made that tan overall dress with that whole scenario of he wearing those rain boots and being in a garden, then she found her property that she bought and that thought process can become a reality❤️
I honestly love that so much
Tutorial on the overall dress !!! How’d you make the bottom of it?? ALSO on the green floral crop top. Love those patterns! TUTORIAL !!
I hope that helps a bit haha xx
You remind me of Emma Stone somehow.
Anyways, those are some beautiful pieces :)
Omg yeah especially in this video
Yes!!! I was just about to comment that lol!
I didn’t know who which actress she reminded me of until I saw this and I thought “yes thats the one”
I was thinking Paulina Porizkova.
yehh! thought that too randomly
Literally I love this so much, you’ve taught me so much about making clothes
I love how you are so feminine, honest and sincere. So refreshing to see someone so nice and genuine.❤️

the "charlotte" fabric reminds me of the couch at my grandma's old house. very pretty!
Lynne Sabourin I think our grandmas might have had the same couch😊

Also your Ralph Lauren boot, I have fabric from a sheet set that had that print. I put most of it into a rug, but had plans to turn the pillow cases into a baby dress.

That fabric has 2 yards for 430 dollars on etsy...Girl you have a literal gold mind.
i love that you had an image of yourself that you wanted to embody and just went for it! that's the energy i need

I learned to sew at a very young age and have made a few things for my ex- wife ( she couldn't sew at all )
and this was a great video, but my question is , Y the hell is the plant in the corner drinking wine ?
Just asking?
😂 I reuse wine bottles by filling them with water and putting them upside down in plants so that they slow-release water into the plant!
You truly are nifty and thrifty. Love your resourceful ways of thinking?
I have that Ralph Lauren “Charlotte” fabric in sheets and found so many I used the extra flat sheets to make matching drapes. You’re very creative!
