I wanna see you try hard on gear. So far all the trad routes ive seen you climb are moderates, many in the east I have done myself, which is perfectly respectable but something you struggle with would really show your confidence in your skills. Like when you place that nut knowing damn well it is the last piece before the crux on a 5.11 is different than plugging a gold cam before pulling around an arete on a 5.8. I guess for climbers what you post is cool and all, but seeing you struggle on something is more impressive and inspiring than just waltzing up classic routes for your climber audience.

Im a gunks and dacks climber, and I love climbing hard trad and i love seeing people develop confidence in their skills and actually start doing things that push themselves, especially on scarier routes that pose the mental and technical challenge as much as the physical challenge.

Some thing I find cool is that my dads bff (who’s kids in rlly good friends with) opens a gym together (climbing gym) and now in school we take trips there one of the electives is going to the gym, now everyone knows and loves the gym (scrapyard climbing collective in Holland MI) I never thought I would climb but now I do and I like it,
