I can see it now, me walking down the street, sunglasses on, sleeves rolled up, hoards of people all around me trying to break through my personal security to say "hey dude, nice sleeves". I'm gonna be so cool.
*bumps into a bully* Bully: you asking for a fight!? Me: hell yeah! *i rolls sleeve down like a boss* Bully: what the hell are you doing?... Me: I don't want to get cold ( -■_■)
maybe you have thin arms. have you tried folding the sleeves more thing by making the folds shorter so it get thicker? like a piece of paper if you fold it once its very thin, but it you fold it like 7 thins, it gets thicker.
Hello, I was in the US Army from '84 to '87 and we rolled up our sleeves that same way. The US Marines, however chose to just roll them up with the underside exposed between the elbow and armpit. I never understood that.
Going on a search with my SAR group tomorrow. Needed to roll my BDU sleeves to look sharp. Makes the families feel like they know professionals are out looking for their family, because they are!
Ur videos are AWESOME! I really like the reviews on survival iteam (M.R.E.s , Bushman Knife etc) they tell me what things to buy and I really love the videos u do with mr smith keep up the great work! :)
This is how we rolled our BDUs before everything went to Velcro closures. I rolled my sleeves like this for 13 years in the Army! Glad I no longer have to do it.
Another fantastic video, I have video suggestion for you. You should do a video on a Bug Out Bag that you would take with you, made up from things just around your home. Many Thanks
I did that and this handsome girl came to me and said "You have rolled you sleeves very nice, now do you wanna roll with me?". :D Kidding of course. Very nice video! :)
I really like this style cant wait to try it out as a US Marine I know a thing or too about rolling sleeves and this method is some high speed moto sh;#
That's the old school way of doing it for BDUs in the US Army/Airforce before the switch over to ACUs. the quickness of pulling down the sleeves is for possible chemical attack or fallout from a nuke.
We did it this way in the Army as well. It had specific purposes...one being for imminent danger of NBC attack, they can be pulled down quickly to cover the arms before donning the Biological suit. Also it's a fool proof and consistent way of rolling up the sleeves for hot weather...looks sharp too.
ArmyStinger150 I remember when I went through BMT we were issued the last of the old green fatigues. We hated them and as soon as I graduated Basic I bought a pair of BDU at the BX. Man I thought I looked sharp then. I think about everyone in our class did that, LOL. Not many guys wanted to be caught dead in the old, "janitor uniforms" as we called them. The kids coming in behind us were all issued the new BDU for free. haha Looking back now, those old Vietnam era uniforms had their own cool, wish we could have appreciated that then.
is that a new style that every russian have a survival channel and it is not really survival it is only better to life things anyone know a channel there show real survival ?

I'd never been complimented on my sleeve rolling technique but thanks to KGB survivalist that's all changed.
Finally a way to do it properly instead of rolling them up improvised. Great video!

Great tutorial, I've always wanted to roll my sleeves without the inside showing. I've seen other people do it, but I've never learned how to do it.
I've always wondered how to do it that tight.. Whenever I roll my sleeves they always come loose and sloppy after an hour or so..

Yeah it could be that. Idk maybe it's the size of my shirt because small dress shirts are too tight and medium is a bit big so i just go with medium.

yeah, we do it in the british army the same way the usmc do theirs, smaller fold though

Always wondered how that was done, now I know. I think some of the newer jackets use Velcro on the sleeves. That would be easy.
You're the boss, thanks for the vid.
This is essential for survival.
I love your videos!
Back in the 80's that was the only way you could roll up the sleeves on your BDUs in the USAF. The USMC just rolled them, white side out, back then.
We did it this way in the Army as well. It had specific purposes...one being for imminent danger of NBC attack, they can be pulled down quickly to cover the arms before donning the Biological suit.
