Love seeing what you're working on. I like that you're branching out. I love picking up new hobbies too, lol.

Jessica, I enjoyed your video. You are a very busy person! I am stitching the Wee Santa 2023, too, in the SAL. I like the felt stitching and punch needle, too, but I have never done it. I would love to hear about your participation in Anabella's virtual retreat. Have fun stitching!

I totally get not feeling like stitching after a day spent working with preschoolers. I’ve worked in preschools back in the day as well as retiring from being an elementary school teacher. You just want to stitch and veg. Stitching calms me down if I’m dealing with stress or anxiety. As I start stitching I can feel myself relaxing. Thanks for sharing the info about FQS Stitchy Stars. I had no idea there are seasonal colors for the stars. I would like to stitch some of them seasonally. Thanks for the great video.

Love seeing all your projects. I’m using Ballet Slippers for my Wee Santa also and I just saw that the Whilst Iris Naps chart also uses that. I will have a large piece left over that can definitely be used for the sampler. Looking forward to seeing your Letters to Europe stitching … love the idea of stitching them in blue and I thought the Rose and the Giant Pear chart looked great with them. Maybe I’ll get to meet you in one of the Jingle Ball stitching rooms. Last year was a lot of fun. Work definitely takes its toll … it’ll take a bit to get used to the new schedule.

I enjoyed your video. I have been stitching for over 40 years and I agree that my days seem to go better if I stitch and I'm truly an easier person to be around. When my kids were little, I would set my alarm 30-45 minutes before they were up and had a cup of coffee and got some stitches in. Back then I only stitched on one project at a time so I did have finishes. I too am tempted to fall down the felt sewing rabbit hole. The ornaments Nicole has shown are so pretty.

I always look forward to your floss tubes. I’m in awe at all of your plans, wips, & starts while still maintaining a job and spending time with your family. Who ever said women can’t do it all never met you!😊 you are an inspiration.
I have been following Nichol for years. I’m a paper crafter/card maker and I’m now following you down the felt sewing rabbit hole. BTW, Poshit has the best prices on the felt and it is high quality. I’m ordering felt from them this week. Today I’m going through my abundant supply of dies to see what will work for ornaments. I’m sure I’ll be ordering some too! Can’t wait to see what you work on.
    Thanks for another fun video.

Good info. Cute finish on pumpkin. I might have to copy your HOD Classic Haunt finish, very cute. HL still has that stand. Nice video.

I would love to do punchneedle too. Teresa Kogut has a video teaching how to do it?

She does but it might be just available to Patreon. I kind of remember she has a paid class too but I am at a loss as to where that is. I will try to look around and mention it on my next video if I can find it.

  • @stitcherwiththelaughingface

I am totally with you on being exhausted from teaching (I have a very heavy load at school this year.) I am BEAT when I get home, and I don’t have three precious little ones to care for as you do (mine are all “big”) Hope that stitching helps relax you when you can work on it. Happy Halloween!
