You see that respectful conversation they had about the loons ting without any form of disrespect to each others opinions we need more of that. Grown big up chuckie poet and pounds
Chuckie: Sometimes there becomes a point where even mandem around you you proper check for cant come with you, how do you navigate that? Pounds: Oi you man cant come. 😂😂
Music industry needs bands especially of the soul & reggae genre. Solo artists are cost effective but...Burna Boy has one of the best live bands right now. More care needs to be taken over composition, lyrics and arrangement.
100% for me living in America, I'm listening to WAY more afrobeats and UK rap/grime/r&b. You can FEEL the actual musicality in afrobeats and UK rap/grime/r&b. Music production alone is just better than what's being made here in America to me 🤷🏾♂
I like reggae festivals reggae splash was a memorable moment as a child I see Dennis brown performing all his classic hits that was a great experience Jah Rastafari
And I have to say as an American I appreciated the conversation about our music scene. It was objective and fair. Sometimes Poet can go in and be disrespectful to us. But,That conversation was very grown up not judgmental or critical. Appreciated that.
For me, US rap hit a peak in like 2017/18, ever since then I've been gravitating towards our own UK artists because I feel like there's so much quality here.
As an American who's only lived here but has traveled to the UK alot, central cee cut through mainstream here, and mainstream here is just the average consumer who doesn't really "look" for music. I truly believe it was the shock value of the "my b---- is gay line". But the average consumer couldn't name 1 Wstrn song for example. But the consumers who are looking for new stuff, its more word of mouth at the moment. Everyone is introducing their friends to artists from around the world that they like. But it's slow unless a big machine is behind the artist. But we definitely aren't really creating new music stars anymore, known strictly for making good music. But we'll turn out an ice spice like once a year. Which does bring the quality of the overall scene down, no matter how beautiful she(the rest of them) are.
Won't listen to my mate telling me how better and successful his life is becoming. Cant stop listening to rappers telling me how superior their money makes them to me. Make it make sense.
Pounds should’ve just joined this pod 😂 no disrespect to Doug he could come through too but this trio works really well. Separately Chuckie run us the video of you barring pls 😂
Yes, I think Pounds ended up here because of that Mozzy interview (and maybe Trillary Banks too). He tried to chat to Mozzy with a relatable vibe that I hope Mozzy heard and has taken on.
I thunk its been on the cards from long time Pounds is big on the scene now and Poets already been on this platform plus clearly they've known each other a long time
That's what pounds was talking about when he said to Poet the more times passed i realised you were right and I was wrong and that they spoke privately and Poet told him he was hurt by it and he respected his honesty
Big up pounds! Was nice to see him on here🙏🏼 on another note… Chuckie needs to chill though I feel like he’s a bit rude to the guy that does the stuff in the background. It’s like he doesn’t rate him and he shows everyone livo, don’t like that vibe at all.
It’s funny tho when you think about it because this bring me in shit only happens when it comes to limelight jobs coz imagine pounds became a rich successful banker they wouldn’t ask for a bring in or invites to them socials 😂
Problem with music in the US is the same as the drill scene here… it’s dead! No originality… everything sounds the same… every subject is the same… everyone sounds like thug and lil baby… over here the drill thing is just samples and remakes… no originality anymore… I’m waiting for the rebirth of hiphop and I think it will start from over here rather than the US
I stopped taking thug seriously when he started cross dressing and painting his fingernails 😂 hows a man talking about catching bodies and badness with pink nails and a dress 😂
Thugs album has global access, cars bring me out, oh you went, mad dog, jonesboro, want me dead they alllllll slapppppp you man need to clean out your ears
These guys Craft London u hype are Criminal they didn't send my orders heading 2 months rn and I've been emailing them and they read and never respond.
Nowadays music has got so bad for the last 10 years ive been listening to the singing legends from the 60s 80s. 90s. It's the only music that feels good to listen to. I'm 36. I don't care about big bling or chicks like cardi b who were strippers before to tell me something positive in rap form.. You just grow up and you don't listen to noise you don't wanna hear anymore. Even from friends.
Rip poets dad🤲🏾 raised a 🐐

Mozzy? Do you mean mizzy? Why do people pretend to not know his name lol

Callum would always get involved in a the pod but East Africa can’t?? Chuckie must not like him; cause he keeps slyly telling him to shut up every ep
All the time. They need to just get rid of him

Chuckie I hope u respect East Africa more.
Yeh it’s been a while now - He’s just Always saying to him “you ain’t got a mic g they can’t hear you” smh
