I am very glad that you made this tutorial. Can you help me with bunsen burner combustion? I need to do this as my graduation task. Thank you very much.
Hey Vlad, thank you for the great tutorial...it was really helpful... Can you also post another combustion tutorial involving multiphase flow (e.g. biodiesel combustion). Thank you in advance.
Hello, Your tutorials are very good. Thank you. I have a problem, I'm a doing a final master project at the University and my theme is '' Propagation of Smoke and particles from a burning car in a big closed spaces like garages" and I have looked your tutorials and I have the idea how to make for example the burning tank of the car, but do you know where I have to set the smoke equations or to see the distribution of smoke from the burning car. I have looked at the ansys site.
Hey Thx for the video. Can you maybe elaborate a bit more about the pdf? I'm new to the combustion stuff and dont quite get why you need these pdf savefiles?!?
hey Vladimir thanks for your video, I find it a very helpful tutorial for beginners. I am trying to model a wood pellet combustion with the output power of 10kW. have you any tutorial about this case. I have difficulties to determine the species of volatile gases and the boundary condition. please let me know if you have any suggestion for me.
Thank you so much for the video. I have a few questions. 1) In materials, fluid is shown as air. Sometimes in my simulations I do not have this specified.how does this can affect? does it signify the environment inside combustor. I want to have flue gas as atmosphere as an atmosphere in combustor. How I can realize it. Sorry for asking too much. Big thanks in anticipation.
Hello, brilliant video, thank you Vlad. Has anyone managed to work out how to fix enthalpy error ? I tried to relax energy and p1 however I am still getting the same error
Thank you very much for wonderful presentation. What do i do if I have just one fuel injector and one air injector? If I have 6% methane, how do I input it in fluent?
Can you please share a proper simulation guide video for pulse detonation engine with fuel as c2h2 and oxidizer as air? Also, how to saparate deflagration combustion zone and detonation zone in this simulation of pulse detonation engine. I will be very thankful for your support.
Hello! Do we need to make holes for the injectors ? I am trying to model the combustion in a pulse jet so the injector is located on the combustion chamber. Do I need to use ICE fluent instead of just fluent . Thank you
Hello Vladimir, would you mind to send me your paper that teaches how to calculate the mass flow of fuel needed for a certain amount of power? Thanks!!
Excellent Tutorial thank you. Excuse can you give me the geometry please, because I don't have the solid works and I want to make the tutorial with the same geometry.Thank you.
Vladimir, did you do the solidworks modelling as a individual model, or assemble the different parts together. Does it matter, or would it affect the simulation or setup for ANSYS? Hope you can help me with this. Thanks
Thanks for your nice tutorial. I am doing my project in coal combustion. I have no idea about simulation of particles of coal and also spark. Is it possible to help me ?
I want to react the gas (e.g. Co2) which is being produced during this process with a "carbon electrode" ( assume to be inside the reactor ) following surface reaction theory on that electrode. How can I do that ?
sir i wanna knw whether we can do the combine effect of heat transfer through muffler (motorcycle silencer ) as well as mixing of smoke with air inside the muffler ????????
Hello, As i am interested in combustion modelling, i am working on hydrogen combustion. could you please upload some tutorials on it? or give me some links where i can find more info.
What if we had to set the dicrete phase and add the surface injection ? Because on my project it used hybrid ( oil fuel and coal ) is the result still the same ? Iam having a problem, that the combustion is not there, please help :( [sorry for my English]
Sir, I want to analyse Diesel and Bio Diesel in combuster in ansys fluent/ CFX . i have done it with diesel using pre-defined diesel variable in ansys cfx but how can i analyse Bio Diesel can i use UDF for that if yes please help how to do that as i am new at UDF.
Dear Sir, Thanks for the insightful video on combusion. I am undertaking a masters course and my project is CFD simulation and analysis of biomass gasification in an updraft gasifier. The heat of combustion is from an open flame heating of the biomass in a hearth and the oxidiser is air. Could you kindly reach me on how I can create the simulation in ANSYS 16. Thanks in advance.
Hi Maskani, I have also been working on the same project in my company. I also have few questions for my simulation, i would be glad if i can get your email ID or some contact to get in touch with the same.
Hello, can you help us in getting inside & outside combustion cylinder wall temp. through Ansys or by other means. Addition to above, Please help us in calculation of the charging up time (reaching max temp) We are doing natural gas combustion and using thermo electric modules to generate electricity
Hello, I have initial concentration of CO2 released from people ,of initial concentration 40000 ppm .How to define this condition ?? in cell zone condition (source term ) or boundary condition? And how to covert unit?
They have this at ansys/com/industries/construction/fire and smoke propagation and I wrote them an e-mail with what solver to make the simulation with CFX or Fluent? but they didn't response. Do you know any web sites that I could see more information how to make the simulation and especially the smoke distribution and particles distribution. I have made the geometry in AutoCAD and I can make it in Ansys also, but from there I don't know what to do. Thank you in advance.
Hi Vlad, great tutorial and very thoroughly presented. Just a minor thing there. Correct me if I am wrong but since your injectors are practically all defined as a single boundary zone, then shouldn't the fuel mass flow rate set at 14:00 be equal to the total fuel mass flow rate you calculated rather than the mass flow rate per injector?
good video...very useful.. being an electrical student i want to model a spark between two metals, like a spark plug in an engine. can fluent software do my job?
great job..can u email me the geometry? so that i can also work it out.. I have tried so many times with my created geometry but then there is no reaction. in the end the contour always in blue colour
u can create geometry from video. for example when he explains how to mesh, below the ansys screen in the video u can see the measurement scale. according to this i see that the diameter of the big cylinder is around 600 mm and length is 4000 mm. air inlet and fuel inlet can be found may be with this way..
Hi everybody please i need a help how to show the thermal distribution from chemical reactions and transformation of speicies ( water with other spieces case), thank you
Hello, C8H12 + (H2O)8 => CO8 + H28 => CO2 + (H20)14 This means this is a way to burn hydrocarbons much better because the carbon atom grabs onto the oxygen atom in the water releasing the hydrogen in the water. Please reply to me.
