- You won't believe what the Dallas Cowboys are doing... The drama surrounding Dak Prescott just keeps getting more bizarre. Jerry Jones is playing a game of chicken he can't win. Today on the Daily Huddle, we address the recent rumors that the Cowboys might trade Dak Prescott, possibly even during the season!
With Trevor Lawrence and Jared Goff securing massive contracts, the asking price for Dak Prescott keeps rising. Jerry Jones, known for being frugal, will struggle with the new demands. Dak is expected to command at least $60 million per year. If Jones wasn't willing to sign him for $40 million per year a few years ago, there's no chance he'll do it this offseason.
So, where will Dak land? The latest rumor suggests that Dak Prescott could become the future quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Compared to Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, who are seen as limited quarterbacks, Dak's talent stands out.

WOW! Are you kidding me? For the last 3 years Dak has lead the Cowboys to 12 win seasons and a Playoffs birth in all 3 seasons. Not to mention he's coming off an MVP runner up season! Dak has been carrying the Cowboys. This is a team sport and the rest of the team has to step up to the plate as well. What about the defense under performing in the Playoffs, NOT DAK FAULT. The team as a whole has under performed in the playoffs. Guess all those other superstars aren't really superstars!! Just want to blame everything on Dak!! PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK.
Cowboys a big favorite last year…Dak got 2 more TDs in garbage time…no excuse when you have an offense with that many weapons!

The Cowboys and Dak are stuck with each other. No other NFL team in their right mind will pay $55 mill + for a QB with only 2 playoff wins and no SB appearances in his career. Dak is a nice guy, but not worth $55 mill.
You're right, if he cannot make the SB with the weapons he has then how can another team expect him to do better with less talent most likely.
I think they are waiting because they feel the have a good, new viable option in Lance. That being said Dak is good. NOT, Great. Just good. He throws passes behind quite frequently and his ability to extend the play is not great. Those facts are all on film.
I don’t think Lance is going to be a consistent starter in the NFL.
The Cowboys are not in trouble! They have decided to change how they pay ppl. Trevor Lawrence is 5 years younger than Dak. Dak Prescott don’t deserve another dime until he can stop throwing the ball to the other team in the postseason!! Would you keep pouring money into a stock that continues to just break even? Let Dak play out his contract, then pay Trey Lance a 3 year deal probably at about 22 million per year! Pay Cee Dee and parson now, and let’s go !!!!
